Celebrating on the Saar
Brewery tavern hall, palace room or factory hall: briefly describe your room to me, because its size and construction decide how much equipment I bring and where it stands. Five venues are on offer for your birthday: a brewery tavern with two banquet halls, a neo-Gothic palace on the Halberg, the baroque palace on Schlossplatz, a former ironworks hall and a congress centre at the edge of the city centre.
Your party in Saarbrücken can take place in a brewery tavern hall, in the garden of a palace or in a hall of the former Burbach ironworks. A slim setup carries a small group, and if the whole family comes I set up more equipment; the address is all I need.
If the party is at home, a corner of the room is enough for me: my compact setup also runs on battery, so no power socket has to be nearby. Where the speakers go and when I may set up, we agree beforehand.
On its page for celebrations and events, the Brauhaus names the Sankt Johanner Saal and the Stiefel Saal for birthdays, weddings and family parties. In the Schalander you can reserve self-service beer tables for 6 to 8 and for 8 to 12 people. For small groups in a pub, a slim system is enough for me, one that does not drown you out.
The castle on the Halberg was built in the neo-Gothic style from 1877 to 1880, today it belongs to Saarländischer Rundfunk, and the restaurant Le Schloss Halberg works in the building. Whether you ask about a room there or celebrate outdoors, I will discuss it with you beforehand so that I can plan the speakers and the power route accordingly.
The Baroque palace on Schlossplatz was designed by the master builder Stengel and was finished in 1748, and the city counts it among its unique event venues. Beneath the square lie the casemates, and in the vaulted cellar the Historical Museum Saar shows exhibitions. Which area is open to you, you will learn from the venue, and then I set up my equipment accordingly.
In 1908 the E-Werk was Electric Motor Plant II of the Burbacher Hütte, and since its conversion it has been an event venue with around 1,900 square metres of hall space. A hall of this size only fills up with many guests, so we clarify beforehand how big your group will be and which part of the building comes into question for you.
According to the city, the Congresshalle is centrally located near the pedestrian zone, and its operator lists social events alongside congresses and concerts. A milestone birthday with many guests would have a grand setting there, and which hall fits, you will learn from the venue; I plan my equipment accordingly.

Who I am
You invite people to Saarbrücken, and I take care of the sound of the evening. I learned the craft in a nightclub, and today more than 1450 events lie behind me. How a party goes cannot be fixed in advance, so I listen first and then mix.
I combine classics and current hits in my own edits so that older and younger guests dance together. Tell me beforehand what you love and what should not be played at all, then the evening stays easy for you and you can celebrate yourself.
How it works
Send me the date and place of your party, I will get back to you the same or the next day, and then comes a video call, setup and the party. I answer any questions in between personally.
Request a dateAfter your enquiry it takes at most one day until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your quote.
With the booking you receive my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule together.
Before the guests arrive I set up; one to two hours are enough for me for the equipment and the sound check. I clarify last questions with you or the venue, so that everything runs calmly and unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music lets the guests find their way into conversation calmly as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

For your birthday I put together a set that belongs only to you, and develop it as the party goes on. Tracks from different decades also bring those onto the floor who only wanted to watch. A balcony, a garden or the living room is enough for me, as I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is playing or someone is giving a speech, I take the music down immediately.

Current hits play alongside classics from many decades at my sets, and I collect your requests in advance without stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
A good two hours before your guests arrive, my equipment is set up and sound-checked, and after the party I dismantle everything myself. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

Of course, send me your list and I will work the tracks in where they land best. What else your guests enjoy, I will learn from you in our first conversation.
That can be arranged: tell my contacts the moment, and I will start the right music exactly then, without giving you away beforehand. Whoever is organizing your surprise coordinates with me in advance.
If a milestone birthday in a hall or inn is coming up, get in touch in good time, because weekend dates there are the first to go. For a smaller party, a few weeks of lead time are often enough, and you will get my answer by the next day at the latest.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
