Company parties in Saarbrücken
Exhibition hall, hotel ballroom or converted steelworks hall: in the state capital the venues are very different, so I first ask about the programme and the room. Six venues, from the Congresshalle via the Saarlandhalle and the E-Werk to the Messe, show the range for your company evening: a gala in a large hall, a conference with an evening programme or a smaller party.
In Saarbrücken your options include the Congresshalle at the edge of the pedestrian zone and the trade fair halls on the A620. Which sound system I set up depends on the room, so first I want to know what is being celebrated and how many people are coming.
A former industrial hall like the E-Werk sounds different from a hotel ballroom, and in a castle I deliberately keep the sound restrained. We fix the evening's schedule in writing before the date; delivery and removal of the equipment are my responsibility.
According to the city, the Congresshalle is centrally located near the pedestrian zone, and according to Wikipedia its main hall offers 1,300 seats or 1,800 standing places. The operator lists conferences, concerts, shows and social events. In such a large hall I plan the sound system and setup with you early on.
According to Wikipedia, the Saarlandhalle in the Ludwigspark has a large hall of 1,944 square metres and eight smaller halls, with event sizes ranging from 10 to 5,500 people. With so many options, I clarify beforehand which part of the building your evening will use.
The former electric motor plant of the Burbacher Hütte, built in 1908, has served as an event venue of around 1,900 square metres since 2000, and the city describes it as an event location with industrial charm. For a building with so much stone and steel, I check the room acoustics before doors open, before I align the system.
The city describes the exhibition grounds, with 14 halls on 50,000 square metres, as a place for presentations and business meetings, directly accessible from the A620. Which hall your event uses determines my setup, so we discuss the room and guest count early on.
According to the operator, the hotel has existed since 1960, offers 110 rooms and serviced apartments, and lists meeting rooms and a conference restaurant on its website. If an evening programme follows your conference, I coordinate with the hotel on how to fit the music into the schedule.
The palace, completed in 1748 to plans by Friedrich Joachim Stengel, is regarded by the city as a unique event venue, and the central pavilion by Gottfried Böhm serves as the entrance hall. Historic walls carry sound differently from modern halls, so I listen to the room with you beforehand.

For the transition from dinner to party I keep time free, so that a long speech does not slow down your evening. About two hours before admission I am ready to go, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.

Yes, send me the files in advance, then I check format and volume and place them at the right spot in the schedule. If needed, I test them in the room on setup day.
I plan a fallback area indoors with you and keep time free for the move. I protect my equipment from moisture, and I decide on a relocation together with you before admission.
My own equipment is enough for gatherings of up to 150 people; if it gets bigger, I bring in vetted partners and tell you in good time. In the preliminary talk we clarify the room, guest numbers and programme with you.
Your enquiry should reach me four to eight weeks before the date, and a little earlier for December Fridays. My answer will be with you before the next working day is over.
Yes, from my network I can bring vocals, saxophone, violin or percussion for you, and the performances are woven into my mix. In the briefing, we work out with you where in the program the act fits best.

This is how we work together on your company event in Saarbrücken: you tell me the occasion, date and number of participants, and in a video call we then discuss music, programme and room. A briefing shortly before the date fixes the schedule. On the day itself I am on site before admission and check the empty hall. Small groups I serve with my own sound system, and for very large guest numbers I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
An evening made up only of Ballermann and schlager hits is not my programme. A few sing-along classics go down well at any company party, but for me they are an extra, nothing more. Nor do I offer techno that leaves the guests out, request lists that are worked through rigidly, or festival formats with several stages. If that's what you're looking for, you're better off with colleagues who specialise in it.
I mix live for guests who expect an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, more than pressing play. That is why I tell you in advance what I don't do, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right DJ, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll sort out everything else together.
