Celebrations in the state capital
An Art Nouveau Kursaal, an observation level or a salon ship each sound completely different, and what I suggest for your room depends exactly on that. Seven venues are available for your birthday: the Art Nouveau Kursaal in Bad Cannstatt, a ballroom, the golf course by the Neckar, the event level in the tower, the castle, the salon ship and the design hotel.
Anyone planning a birthday in Stuttgart chooses between ballroom, castle hall, waterside terrace and an event level high above the city, and I set up my system according to whether twenty or two hundred guests surround you. You tell me where you celebrate, and we sort out the rest together.
If you would rather have your party in the living room or garden, I bring a small set that also runs on battery without a mains connection. Whether it is a terrace on a slope, a dining room or a hall: I clarify power, set-up time and space with you beforehand, so that on the day of the party you can greet your guests in peace.
The Kursaal Bad Cannstatt lists birthdays as an occasion, as well as weddings, corporate parties and Christmas parties. According to the operator, numerous rooms are available for small to large events; the Kursaal itself is an Art Nouveau building in the spa park. With such different room sizes, I only set up my system once I know where you are celebrating.
The Le Méridien lists birthday celebrations among its occasions, alongside wedding, Christmas and corporate celebrations. The hotel describes the Ballsaal Elysée as a large ballroom. For a hall of this size, I align my speakers so that conversation at your table isn't drowned out and the sound still carries to the back.
CityGolf Stuttgart lies on the Neckar and lists birthday, wedding, Christmas party and anniversary as occasions. According to the operator, the waterside venue includes a sun terrace. Where music should play inside and where outside, we discuss beforehand, so that my set-up fits your plan.
The event level of the SWR Fernsehturm lists birthdays, weddings, company parties, corporate events and anniversaries as occasions. According to the operator, it offers space for up to 65 people, with a view over Stuttgart and the region. With so little space, I keep my set-up small and base it on the number of your guests.
Schloss Solitude lists birthdays and anniversaries as occasions, and the late-rococo palace stands in a spot with a view. According to the operator, the Weisse Saal holds at most 80 people with rows of seating, the outdoor area at most 600. How much equipment belongs in a hall like that, I clarify with you and the venue before I set up.
The saloon ship MS Wilhelma on the Neckar lists birthday party among its occasions, along with company party, Christmas party, wedding and anniversary. According to the operator, 30 to 250 guests are possible, with 254 seats, and the ship also has a DJ booth and a dance floor. How I fit in on board with my music, I clarify in advance with you and the operator.
The design hotel Der Zauberlehrling lists birthday party and family gathering as occasions, namely as cooking events in the cooking school. According to the operator, the Private Room of this cooking school has space for up to 60 people. For a group of this size I set up lean and adapt the sound system to your number of guests.

Who I am
You celebrate in Stuttgart, I take care of the sound. I have been behind the decks since 1998, starting in the club, and since 2004 I have been working private and corporate celebrations, over 1450 events so far. In doing so I have learned: for me, a good party needs no rigid plan, but someone who listens.
I stay in the background, the music does the talking. With my own edits, classics and new songs flow into each other, so your guests of every age dance along. Tell me your wishes beforehand, and your evening works even without show effects.
How it works
Tell me the date and place of your party, and my reply comes the same day or the next, followed by video call, set-up and party. I answer all the questions in between personally. See the whole process →
Request a dateAfter your enquiry, it takes one day at most until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards I put together an offer for you.
Because WhatsApp is the shortest line, you receive my private mobile number with your booking. Seven days before the party, we settle song requests, no-gos and the schedule together.
I set myself up before the guests arrive, and one to two hours is enough for the equipment and soundcheck. I clear up any last questions with you or the venue so that everything runs smoothly and invisibly.
Subtle lounge music in the background lets the guests start chatting in a relaxed way as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
I give the evening programme the right tone: background music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, and music for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
Once the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I sense the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song.

For your birthday I put together a set that belongs only to you, and keep turning it up bit by bit through the evening. Tracks from different decades get even those guests moving who only wanted to watch at first. A balcony, a garden or the living room is quite enough for me, because I carry my compact setup in myself. When a slideshow is running or a speaker is talking, I pull the music back at once.

If the venue has a usable sound system, I use it; otherwise my own comes along. With a small group I keep the equipment low-key so that your room keeps its cosy atmosphere.
Gladly: a wireless microphone waits behind the decks, and it is yours as soon as you want to say something. Friends with a toast or a game can also pick it up from me, and I only speak up where you want me to. Whether I host a lot or a little is your decision, and we clarify it beforehand.
Yes, calling out or speaking to me at the decks is enough, you do not need a form for it. If a request comes at an inconvenient moment, I make a note of it and play it later. Your list is the basis for me, but I let the evening guide me.
For milestone birthdays at a fixed venue I'm happy to plan with you several months ahead, because popular Saturdays go first with me. For smaller groups a few weeks sometimes suffice. If your date is already close, call me, and in the same conversation I'll tell you whether the day is free with me.
Through my network I arrange a saxophonist for you who joins live over my mix, and I pass the contact on to you. Vocals, violin or percussion are also possible, depending on who is celebrating with you. When in the evening the performance has the greatest effect, I think about in our first conversation.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
