Corporate parties in Dresden
Glass hall, palace ballroom or industrial monument: the venues of a state capital differ greatly, so I first ask about the programme, the room and the number of guests. Six venues show the range for your company evening: a manufactory by the Großer Garten, an industrial monument, two palaces above the Elbe, a ballroom and a winery.
From the manufactory with eight rooms via the palace on the Elbe slope to the gasometer: companies celebrate in Dresden at very different places. I need the occasion, the schedule and the number of attendees beforehand, because room and programme determine which system I plan.
Baroque halls tolerate lower volume than wide halls, and I set up accordingly. We sort out beforehand when there will be eating, speeches and dancing; I handle setup and teardown on my own.
According to the operator, the Gläserne Manufaktur is close to the city centre by the Großer Garten and has eight event rooms, including ID. Forum and ID. Lounge; conferences, presentations, workshops and evening events are listed. I plan the programme and dancing with you in advance, so that the switch from talks to the evening works without a break.
On its website the Panometer is described as a gasometer industrial monument and can be hired exclusively outside opening hours; industrial flair, art and good acoustics are mentioned. In a building like this I sound-check the room with you beforehand, before we fix the programme and dancing.
The palace lists corporate parties, summer parties, receptions and award ceremonies as occasions and can be hired as a whole or floor by floor. If the programme and dancing are spread over two floors, I plan the equipment for both areas together with you.
According to the operator, the Große Ballsaal is the largest room in the house on the Weißer Hirsch; company anniversaries, product presentations, Christmas parties and summer parties are listed as occasions on the site. For a ballroom I direct the sound towards the floor and plan speeches separately from the dancing.
The winery in Radebeul explicitly mentions corporate events and rents out event rooms; it sees itself as an experience winery and has been making sparkling wine since 1836. If your evening starts with an outdoor reception, we clarify beforehand where the system should stand.
According to its website, Schloss Eckberg offers modern conference rooms in the coach house, historic rooms and halls as well as a terrace, and lists receptions among its occasions. Whether your corporate party is possible there, you clarify with the venue's banqueting office; after that I coordinate equipment and schedule with you.

Who I am
Your programme sets the framework for your evening in Dresden: welcome, contributions, meal, then dancing. In a conversation beforehand, by phone or video, we agree with you when there will be speeches and when there will be partying. I learnt my craft in a nightclub, and company parties and private occasions followed.
With my own edits I blend the parts of your event into one another, so your guests notice no break. On the day itself I set up the equipment and wireless microphones, get everything ready and sound-check the room.

01For corporate parties of up to about 500 guests I tailor the music to your company, and in the end the dance floor should still be full. Which tracks work for which generation, I hear in the room, and I adjust the mix continuously instead of following a list. I have mastered the balancing act between company culture and party mood for years, including with large corporations. I reserve time for the transition from the meal to the party, so a long speech does not slow down your evening. Up to 150 guests I provide the complete equipment myself; for larger events I bring in reliable technical partners.

Your music wish list is the starting point; I sort out the details with the venue and service providers myself, so you do not have to chase anyone. Tracks and topics that do not suit your occasion I note down in our conversation and keep out of the programme.

From seventies soul to current chart hits, we agree the music programme in advance, and I combine the genres into one whole.
Setup takes me about 40 minutes, but I am ready long before admission, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. I only need about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

For a gala or anniversary the same standard applies as for any corporate party, from the first guest to the farewell.

+49 176 700 580 27As an opener I take songs known to all age groups and watch which of them bring your staff onto the dance floor. After that I adapt the programme continuously. Special requests from your teams we gather beforehand in conversation.
Tell me who comes to the front and when, and I will have a short track ready for each walk. I pull the music back as soon as someone speaks and bring it back in seamlessly afterwards.
An area for the decks, access for setup and a power source, that is all I need. I bring my own system, microphones and lighting. If there is a covered spot in case of bad weather, please tell me early.
Four to eight weeks is time well invested. Before the holidays, when calendars are full, and for particularly large events, it is better to contact me earlier. As a rule I reply on the same day as your enquiry, and afterwards we discuss the schedule and technology.
Yes, tell me the countries of origin, and I will work in fitting tracks without the set falling apart. You take care of the announcements, and I keep the microphone ready. If your group would like English-language hits, I will prepare those too.
I shape the talks section with subtle background music and raise the tempo step by step after the meal. At the end of the contributions I play the first dance track that gets your guests out of their chairs. We decide beforehand where the dance floor will be.

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

First you tell me about the occasion, the date and the number of participants, then we talk by video about music, program and venue. A few days before the date, I go over the schedule together with you. On the day of the event I am in the hall before doors open and check the sound. Depending on the size of your event, my sound system is enough, or I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
