In Salzgitter, steel and suppliers shape the economy; at your company party, people from the workshop, design and administration often meet who otherwise rarely see each other. I tailor the music to that: a shift group may like a different tempo than the department heads, but everyone should find themselves in the set.
I started behind the booth of a nightclub; company and private parties came later. When speeches happen and from when people dance, we settle in the preliminary talk; I build the transitions in between afterwards. On the day, I bring the sound system and wireless microphones and listen to the empty room before your doors open.

It starts with your music wish list; I settle the details with the venue and service providers so that you do not have to chase them by phone. Tracks and topics that do not suit your occasion, I remove from the program at your request.

We discuss the programme, from seventies soul to current charts, beforehand, and I mix the styles so that your workforce celebrates together.
Before doors open I am ready to go, set up in peace and clear everything away myself after the last song. For that about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup location, no stairs or elevators) the setup takes about 40 minutes.

I keep an eye on the running order and shift music blocks without the guests noticing. You give me a sign, and I adjust the program.
Once the date is fixed, allow four to eight weeks until the celebration; if you invite many guests or celebrate in peak season, it is better to enquire earlier. Whether I am free on your preferred day, I will tell you by tomorrow at the latest.
I listen to the room before doors open, aim the speakers so they avoid the walls, and set the volume accordingly. That way speech stays intelligible with me, even when people are dancing.
Beforehand I ask about the age range and occasion and request two or three example tracks from you. During the evening I read the floor and adjust the set until the majority joins in.
Give me one person on site in advance who knows about access, power supply and time slots. With them I coordinate the setup, which takes about 40 minutes and is finished before doors open.

Service area
If your company is in Wolfenbüttel, Peine or Langelsheim, I run your event there just as in Salzgitter; you will find the other towns below.
To start, I need three details: occasion, date and number of guests. In the video call we cover music, program and questions about the room, and in a briefing shortly before the date we go over the exact schedule. On the day of the event I set up before doors open and check the sound in the empty room. For very large guest lists I bring in technical partners; smaller groups I handle with my own system.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
