Company parties in Trier
Exhibition hall, hotel ballroom or winery: in a city on the Moselle the venues vary widely, so I first ask about the programme and the room. Six venues, from the arena and the hall at the Viehmarkt to the winery in the Ruwer valley, show the range for your company evening: a gala in a large hall, a conference with an evening programme or a smaller party.
For company parties, Trier offers you large halls such as the Arena and the Europahalle, conference hotels within sight of the Roman monuments and wine estates on the Ruwer. Before I settle on the sound system and setup, I want to know which room it will be and how many guests your team has.
In the hotel at the Porta Nigra the music stays understated during the reception and only gets louder later. If guests travel from far away, we clarify in advance whether titles from their home country should be included. We fix the course of the evening in the briefing, and I handle the set-up on my own.
The Arena, operated by the Messe- und Veranstaltungsgesellschaft Trier, has a Corporate Events section on its website with business boxes and a restaurant with event catering. At this size I coordinate the sound and setup with you early, so that nothing comes as a surprise on the day of the event.
The Europahalle opened on 1 October 1977 and covers about 2,000 square metres with three event and conference rooms. According to Wikipedia, it is used for conferences, congresses and parties. With several rooms, I clarify in advance which part of the building your evening will take place in.
According to the operator, the centre is located near the Kaiserthermen, has daylight in all areas, 100 underground parking spaces and a directly connected conference hotel. Occasions mentioned include conferences, product presentations and parties. How much equipment I bring depends on which room you choose.
According to the operator, the hotel opposite the Porta Nigra has six conference rooms, the largest measuring 155 square metres, as well as a bar and a restaurant. For an evening following your conference, the room can be switched over musically, and we plan that together.
The Pauliner Hof lists corporate events such as company parties, conferences and product presentations as occasions and offers an atrium, the Katharinen-Scheune and a terrace overlooking the vineyard. According to the operator, four guest rooms are included. Where the programme and dance floor go for an evening at the winery, we settle before my set-up.
The Art Nouveau villa from 1914 mentions parties and events on the hotel's website. What you can book there for your guests is something the venue can answer. In a villa I deliberately keep the sound subtle and agree the placement and volume level with you.

The music of your evening in Trier follows your program: welcome, speeches, dinner and then the dance floor. I have stood behind the decks since my beginnings in the discotheque and gained from it an eye for gatherings of all kinds. Beforehand we discuss with you by phone or video call when there is room for conversation and when the party starts.
My edits connect the sections so that nobody at your celebration notices a break. On the day of the event I bring the equipment and wireless microphones myself, set everything up and check the sound.

01For company parties of up to about 500 guests, I tailor the music to your business, and the dance floor should still be full in the end. I hear in the room which track works for which generation and adjust the mix continuously instead of working through a list. I have been managing the balancing act between company culture and party mood for years, including for corporations such as Microsoft and Amazon. I keep time free for the transition from dinner to party so that a long speech does not slow down your evening. For up to 150 guests I provide all the equipment myself, and for larger events I bring in reliable technical partners.

Your music wish list is the start, then I clarify details myself with the venue and service providers, so that you do not have to chase after them. Tracks and themes that do not suit your occasion I note in the conversation and consistently keep out of the programme.

From the soul of the seventies to today's charts, we agree your music programme beforehand, and I combine the genres into one whole.
About two hours before admission I am ready to go, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.

+49 176 700 580 27That depends on what your venue offers; send me photos of the equipment and I will assess it in advance. If the sound system is suitable, I connect my booth to it; otherwise I bring my own PA. I will tell you what I consider sensible in our preliminary talk.
I plan the sound with headroom, so additional colleagues make no difference. If it goes beyond 150 people, I bring in technical partners and tell you early; below that, my own equipment is enough.
In the briefing we set the meal, speeches and awards, so I know when each part of the program starts. I leave my microphone to the announcements of your schedule. Afterwards I guide you gently into the party.
In the reception area the music stays subtle so you can talk comfortably; in the banquet hall I gradually turn it up. We plan the transition together, with extra time for long speeches, and I coordinate the schedule with your venue.
A window of four to eight weeks before the date covers most cases; large programmes and December dates need more run-up. I get back to you the next day. You receive the invoice after the party and settle it within a week.
Yes, that is possible: from my network I can arrange singers, saxophonists, violinists or percussionists who play along to my mix. I would place the performance at the reception or when the dance floor opens; we will discuss the exact time in the briefing.

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

Your company event in Trier begins with a short exchange about the occasion, date and number of attendees; in a video call we then clarify music, programme and room. In the briefing shortly before the date, we fix the schedule with you. Before the first guests arrive, I am already in the building checking the sound in the empty hall. Small groups I serve with my own system; with very many guests I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
