Wedding venues in Kassel
Whether palace walls, monastery vaults or a panoramic hall: I have the ceiling, floor and outdoor area described to me in advance and set up my system to suit the room. I present five venues to you, from the palace in Park Schönfeld via a former monastery to the orangery in the Karlsaue. Each venue calls for its own set-up, which we plan together.
Kassel has many faces for a wedding: a palace in Park Schönfeld, where Clemens Brentano, Achim von Arnim and the Brothers Grimm met over 200 years ago, a hotel at the foot of the World Heritage Bergpark, or an orangery in the Karlsaue. I adjust my system differently for each of these places.
In an old building, fine sound works better than force, and in a wide hall I need more reserve in bass and lighting. I will tell you openly which solution suits your venue before you sign.
The palace of 1777 lies in Park Schönfeld in Wehlheiden, and the venue's own page lists weddings, anniversaries and receptions, as well as palace and park as a backdrop for photos. Hire and catering are handled by the Schützenhaus Eventgroup. Where you eat and where you dance is something you discuss with the venue, and then I align my set-up accordingly.
The hotel at the foot of the Bergpark lists celebrations and weddings, including outdoors, and names 15 event rooms for up to 200 people. The event location has panoramic windows and a 200 square metre terrace with a view over Kassel. With so many rooms, we think together about where to dance and where it stays quieter.
The orangery in the Karlsaue has belonged to Grischäfers Locations since summer 2020 and lists weddings, birthdays and corporate events. It states 160 square metres for up to 160 guests, plus a restaurant and terrace. If you first celebrate outside and then carry on in the house, I plan the change so that the music follows seamlessly.
The boutique hotel next to the Brüderkirche was founded in the 13th century as a Carmelite monastery and offers several event locations of 112 and 140 square metres for 80 to 110 people. In such an old building I keep the set-up slim and agree it with the venue beforehand.
Besides congresses, the venue also lists galas and parties, and names as its smallest hall the Rosensaal with 180 square metres for up to 197 people. Which hall suits your guest count is something you clarify with the venue, and then I tune the sound to the room.
Rooms, occasions and details come from the operators' pages, from Grischäfer and from the Verein Schloss Schönfeld, as of October 2026. Whether your date is free and how many guests the venue holds is something you clarify directly with the respective venue.
I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
Who I am
Anyone marrying in Kassel often invites people from very different worlds: colleagues from the factory, friends from university, relatives from the Kassel surroundings. So that everyone feels seen, I first ask you about the songs that belong to your story, and about those you do not want to hear.
From this comes a schedule that I adjust in the evening to the mood in the room. Over 650 weddings I have accompanied have shown me when a dance floor opens up and when it needs time, and I take that time so that even reserved guests enjoy the evening.
How it works
You write to me briefly, I reply within 24 hours, then comes a video call and the wedding portal, and a week before the celebration we go through everything once more.
Request a dateTell me the date and venue as soon as both are fixed, and I will get back to you the same day, at the latest within 24 hours. In the video call we get to know each other without pressure, and your quote follows.
With the booking you get access to the wedding portal. There you collect favourite songs, no-gos and your schedule, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything together.
The set-up takes around 40 minutes, but I am at the venue well before the guests, so that the soundcheck and last arrangements with the hotel, photographer and speaker go smoothly.
For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, the tracks you have chosen are played. At the reception, subtle lounge music plays, and where there is no power outside, the battery runs the system.
I accompany the meal with calm sound, the wireless microphone is ready for the speeches, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss each get their own track.
With your chosen piece you open the dance, after which I read the floor, change the set spontaneously and keep young and old moving until the evening winds down.

We collect the songs that should play or stay off the list in our first conversation, and afterwards I make sure the venue and the other suppliers are in the picture.

I mix disco, nineties, current charts and soul as the mood of your evening allows, instead of reeling off a rigid genre scheme.
The setup needs roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the celebration I pack everything away myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
Outdoor
For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit I use the battery-powered system, so your spot in the countryside gets by without a power socket.
Photo station, live music, uplights and audio guest book can be booked along with it on request, and I take care of the arrangements.

+49 176 700 580 27For the photo hour outdoors I put together quiet tracks that you can still hear without them disturbing conversation. Once you are in the hall, I gradually turn it up, and whether equipment is allowed in the park at all is something you clarify with the administration.
Yes, my speakers run on battery, so your chosen spot does not need a socket. You tell me in advance which tracks should play for the entrance and the exit, so that I have them ready.
I manage that by linking several decades together instead of following one genre. When I notice that a table is hesitating, I switch to an era it knows, and your no-gos stay out.
I am happy to bring in a violinist, a singer or a saxophonist from my circle of musicians to play over my mix. You decide where the performance happens: at the sparkling wine reception, for the entrance or to open the dance.
In that case I choose a smaller setup and leave part of my system in the van, which otherwise supports up to 150 guests. I only need a space of about 2.5 by 1.5 metres. If everyone sits close together at small tables, I turn the level down far enough that conversation stays possible.
As soon as your date is set, because summer Saturdays go first with me. Send me two lines with your date, and by the next day at the latest you will have my answer on whether I am free that day.

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

To begin with, you send me the date, venue and approximate number of guests. In a video call we talk about your wishes and the schedule, and shortly before the celebration we go through every detail once more.
