Michael Zimmermann at the DJ booth at a wedding in Oldenburg

Wedding DJ Oldenburg (Oldb) · Events since 2004

Your wedding in the old residence town on the Hunte, with music entirely to your taste.

I am Michael Zimmermann, and I put together the music for your wedding in Oldenburg, from the drinks reception to the very last track. In a city that was a royal residence for centuries and now brings together students, families from the countryside and neighbours from the district, your tables often seat very different worlds. More than 650 weddings have shaped my craft, and almost every time the whole party ends up on the dance floor. beats per micha: Michael Zimmermann, wedding DJ, available in Oldenburg (Oldb) and the surrounding area.

Wedding venues in Oldenburg (Oldb)

Weddings in Oldenburg (Oldb).

Whether a historic inn, a coach house in the garden or a hotel ballroom, I clarify the room, the house sound system and the terrace in advance, because every Oldenburg venue sounds different. Five addresses show you how varied weddings in Oldenburg can be: an inn with a coach house, a country inn in the south with a garden, a banqueting hall with a conservatory and beer garden, a party room near the station and a hotel with a function house. We decide where the equipment goes before you step into the hall.

Inn, banquet hall, hotel: weddings in Oldenburg (Oldb)

An inn with a coach house, a hall with a conservatory or a hotel ballroom: in Oldenburg you will find venues that hardly resemble one another. I look at your room first, and only then is it clear how big my setup needs to be.

A residence city with a university and its surrounding area brings together guests from very different backgrounds, and with a single style of music you rarely make it to the end. So I mix across the decades and let the tables decide which direction to take next.

Müggenkrug

Elsflether Straße 53, Oldenburg

The venue advertises hosting celebrations since 1726 and mentions a historic inn, a coach house and summer terraces; for weddings the page gives an upper limit of 250 people. Because the inn and the coach house are separate, we clarify where the reception and the dancing take place and how the speakers are positioned.

Bümmersteder Krug

Sandkruger Straße 180, Oldenburg

The Krug lists weddings for up to 150 guests, halls with coloured lighting and a park-like garden. I agree with you where the dancing begins and how much atmosphere the lighting already brings to the hall.

Zum Drögen Hasen

Drögen-Hasen-Weg 111, Oldenburg

The venue states room for weddings of up to 400 people and lists a banqueting hall, a beer garden and a conservatory. With areas that different, we plan in advance where people eat, where they dance and where they celebrate outdoors.

Partyraum Oldenburg

Stau 39 to 41, Oldenburg

The party room is near the main station, spread over two floors and, according to the operator, designed for 25 to 200 people; weddings, birthdays and Christmas parties are among the occasions. Having your own DJ there is explicitly allowed, so we discuss the setup spot and power supply early on.

Hotel und Gesellschaftshaus Wöbken

Hundsmühler Straße 255, Oldenburg

The venue cites a tradition maintained for over 165 years, has its own wedding page and lists five seminar and conference rooms for 20 to 450 people as well as a conservatory and a summer garden. For your celebration we clarify which area suits the number of guests and how the music moves between indoors and outdoors.

Rooms, guest numbers and occasions come from the venues' websites, as of October 2026. Free dates and the exact number of places are only available directly from each venue.

Civil ceremony of your choice in Oldenburg (Oldb)

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

If you marry in Oldenburg, your guests may come from the university, from the countryside around the city or from the coast. So I first ask who is invited, how old the guests are and what must not be played under any circumstances.

I learned my craft in a nightclub, and celebrations of every size came later, until over 25 years and more than 1450 events added up, more than 650 of them weddings. With my own edits I blend tracks from several decades, so that godmother and best man dance at the same time. In the end, everyone should feel that this was exactly your celebration.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Oldenburg (Oldb).

A short message to me is enough, and you will hear back within 24 hours; after that come a video call, arrangements and setup, right up to your first dance.

  1. Enquiry & first chat

Once your date is fixed, a short message is enough; I usually reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. In a video call we talk through your ideas without any sales pressure, and afterwards you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking I unlock your wedding portal. There you enter special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything by phone.

  3. Set-up & sound check

Before your guests arrive, I am at the venue. I set up, check the sound in the room, clear up last questions with the speakers and the photographer, and then keep to the background.

  4. Ceremony & reception

Music carries the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit. During the drinks reception, subtle lounge music plays, and in a garden without a power socket, the battery takes care of the sound.

  5. Dinner & programme items

A calm soundtrack plays during the meal. Your speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose suitable music each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

With your chosen edit you open the dance, then the party begins. I read the floor, change the set live and keep all generations moving until the last track.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We discuss music requests and no-gos in the first conversation, and I coordinate everything else with your venue and the other suppliers.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

I mix disco, the nineties and current charts side by side, and the mood of your guests decides what comes next.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I arrive well before the first guests, set up calmly, test the sound and clear everything away myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

If your ceremony takes place in a garden, a battery powers my setup, so the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit work without a mains connection.

Optional: extras

A photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book can be booked through me if you like, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Oldenburg (Oldb) want to know.

Here is what couples usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
Our guests include university friends, relatives from the countryside and neighbours: how do you get a mixed crowd like that dancing in Oldenburg (Oldb)?

I start with tracks that people of every generation know and see which tables jump up. From there I gradually add music that suits your guests.

Our drinks reception is in an annexe, and the dancing is in the hall: how do we decide where the music is set up?

We'll sort that out together before the celebration, ideally with your floor plan and the power sockets. I set up my system where you dance and tune the reception to it.

We are getting married in October, when half of Oldenburg is at the Kramermarkt: how early should we enquire?

Get in touch as soon as the date is fixed, because sought-after Saturdays book up quickly. With me, you will hear by the next day at the latest whether the date is still open.

May we request songs that mean something to us as a couple, even though you can't dance to them?

Yes, songs like that have their place with me, for example at the entrance or when you cut the cake. For the dance floor, I then build you a transition that leads from your song into the mix.

Our hall has no permanent sound system: what equipment is part of the offer for speeches and music?

Speakers, desk, lighting and two wireless microphones are included, you only need to show me a power socket. My standard setup suits around 150 guests, and I scale up for more.

What happens if the DJ drops out on the day of our wedding?

An equally qualified colleague from my network will then take over your evening, and nothing changes in what we have agreed.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin. When the performance fits best, we decide together before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif gives the reception a warm, festive opening, especially when the evening moves into dusk.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion gives the beat extra drive, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

A singer brings a concert feeling to your wedding, and later your guests can step up to the microphone themselves.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin frames your entrance in style and gives the meal that follows the dignity of a gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Non-stop Ballermann, après-ski and schlager?
I'll gladly slip in the right hit when it suits the mood.
A whole evening in that vein, though, is not my style.

Some DJs have specialised in exactly that.
You'll be in good hands with them.
    That's perfectly legitimate.
    I just work differently.

I specialise in live mixing at demanding events.
For anyone who knows that DJing is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right song at the right moment.
More than playing a ready-made playlist.

If that doesn't suit you, I'm not the right DJ, and that's fine.
If it does, then very gladly.
