Celebrating in Bergisch Gladbach
A hotel hall in Bensberg, a garden house at the edge of the forest or your own living room: every place carries music differently, and I shape my suggestion for your party accordingly. In Bergisch Gladbach you can celebrate your birthday in a hotel at the forest edge, in a community hall, in a palace, in a manufacturer's villa or in an old paper mill. Here I introduce five addresses you can enquire at.
In a hotel, in a community hall or at your parents' home: your birthday in Bergisch Gladbach can take place in many locations. My setup follows the room, so you tell me about it first, and only then do I choose speakers and levels.
A hobby cellar, a meadow behind the house or a club room: I travel light. I look at the space and power sockets you have from your photos, and about 40 minutes after I arrive the music can begin.
The hotel with 30 rooms sits next to the Gronauer Wald and lists celebrations and family gatherings on its website. Whether your birthday is possible there and which room suits your guests, you ask the hotel; I will go over the technical side with you afterwards.
The building by Gottfried Böhm has a large hall with a stage, a mirror hall and a restaurant in the old building from 1903. It is an option for a milestone birthday with many guests. You clarify which room is free with the operator.
The palace hotel's website lists private parties and celebrations within the palace setting. The building is a listed monument from 1703, so a preliminary talk about access and where to set up is worthwhile. You get dates and rooms from the hotel.
The paper manufacturers' villa from 1873 and 1874 shows art on several floors, including the collection Kunst aus Papier. Whether a private party is possible there, you ask the city; I adapt the volume to the house.
Since 1999, the history of paper has been on show in the former paper mill on the Strunde, with a café in the old papermaker's house. Whether you can celebrate there, you ask the Landschaftsverband Rheinland; the room decides where I stand.
I read up on the building, the rooms and the occasions on Wikipedia and on the operators' websites (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit is something only the venue itself can tell you in the end.
Who I am
You are celebrating in Bergisch Gladbach, and I build the music that belongs to your evening. I started out in a discotheque, later private and corporate parties came along, and by now it is over 1450 events. Right next to Cologne, a birthday often brings together family from the Bergisches Land and friends from the big city.
So that everyone ends up on the same dance floor, I build my own edits from classics and current tracks. Tell me in advance what you like and what is out of the question, and then you can enjoy the evening yourself.
How it works
For the first contact, a date and a place are enough, and I reply the same or the next day. We then settle wishes, schedule and setup in the video call.

Once you have booked, I send you my mobile number, because a lot can be sorted out quickly on WhatsApp. About a week before the party we go over requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
Before the first guests arrive I set up for about 40 minutes and check the sound. Anything still open I clear up with you or the venue, so nothing gets in the way later.
As guests arrive, quiet lounge music plays and gets conversations started. For you as the birthday guest of honor and for special moments, I pick the right song.
The program gets its music too: restrained during the meal, with a microphone for speeches and announcements, and with tracks for games, surprises and the cake.
Once the dancing starts, I take over completely, read the mood and shape the set around your guests until the last song fades.

The set grows out of the guests' mood on your evening. With songs from several decades you also get onto the floor those who only wanted to watch at first. A living room, a basement or a courtyard is enough for me, since I bring my compact setup in myself. When a slideshow or a speech starts, I turn the music down right away.

Alongside current hits I play classics from many decades, and I listen through each of your requested tracks individually beforehand.
For setup I need around 40 minutes and a space of about 2.5 by 1.5 meters; after the last track I pack everything up myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.
You can add a photo booth, uplights and live music, and I take care of the coordination.

I go where your guests naturally gather, usually the biggest room. Send me a floor plan or photos, and I will tell you whether I recommend a second speaker in the hallway.
Yes, I look for tracks with a similar tempo and cut the transitions myself so the switch does not feel jarring. You decide which songs matter to you, and I arrange them by tempo.
Yes, I pick a relaxed selection that lets you sing along with every age group. Later in the afternoon I turn the tempo up, if you would like that.
That depends on the day, so it is better to write to me beforehand. I will tell you openly within 24 hours whether your preferred Saturday is free.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your party, I'm not the right DJ, and that's fine. If it does, let's talk.
