Wedding venues in Bergisch Gladbach

Weddings in Bergisch Gladbach.

The first thing I ask is whether you are celebrating in a castle on the hillside, in an inn by the Gronauer Wald or in a hall in the town centre, because that decides how I set up. Five addresses show how different a wedding here can look: a baroque castle above the Rhine valley, a manufacturer's villa, a community hall, a hotel at the forest edge and an industrial museum on the Strunde.

Castle, inn, community hall: weddings in Bergisch Gladbach

A castle on the hill, an inn in the countryside, a hall in the centre: Bergisch Gladbach gives you the choice, and with every room what I bring changes. Which speakers I take and how the lighting looks is therefore something I decide only once you have chosen the venue.

Up on the hillside, the access to the hall is often an unknown. Let me know about steps, lifts and parking; from unloading to soundcheck takes me about 40 minutes.

Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg

Kadettenstraße, Bensberg

Elector Johann Wilhelm had the castle built as a hunting lodge from 1703, and its central axis points towards Cologne Cathedral. Since the conversion from 1997 to 2000 it has been a grand hotel, and the hotel's website mentions weddings. You can find out there which rooms and dates are available; in a listed building I clarify access and parking for my equipment beforehand.

Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders

Bergisch Gladbach

Maria Zanders had the villa built in 1873 and 1874 by the Cologne architect Hermann Otto Pflaume, and today, as an art museum, it also shows the collection Kunst aus Papier. Whether a wedding party can be received there is something you ask the city; among paintings I plan speakers and volume with special care.

Bürgerhaus Bergischer Löwe

Stadtmitte, Bergisch Gladbach

The new building by Gottfried Böhm was built from 1977 to 1980 and joined to an older building from 1903. There is a large hall with a stage, a mirror hall and, in the old part, a restaurant. Which room suits your guest count is something you clarify with the operator; with a stage, the dance floor is easy to separate from the dining area.

Gronauer Tannenhof

Robert-Schuman-Straße 2, Bergisch Gladbach

The hotel has 30 rooms and sits beside the Gronauer Wald on the edge of the Bergisches Land nature park. Its website lists celebrations and family gatherings. Whether and how your wedding can take place there is something you discuss with the hotel; for smaller groups a compact setup is enough for me.

Papiermuseum Alte Dombach

Sand, Bergisch Gladbach

The museum of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland has used a former paper mill on the Strunde since 1999. Special exhibitions run in the drying house, and a café sits in the former home of the papermaking families. Whether a private celebration is possible is something you ask the operator; in an industrial hall I tune the sound for hard walls.

I read up on the building, the rooms and how they are used on Wikipedia and on the operators' websites (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit is something only the venue itself can tell you in the end.

Humanist ceremony in Bergisch Gladbach

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

At your wedding in Bergisch Gladbach, friends from Cologne, neighbours from the neighbourhood and relatives from the surrounding villages are probably celebrating at one table. To turn that into one shared dance floor, I cut my own transitions and mix classics with current hits.

You enter your favourite songs and everything that should not be played in the wedding portal, and we go through it in a video call. On the night I follow the dance floor, not a fixed plan. I take care of arrangements with the venue, photographer and catering staff so that you can concentrate on the day.

How it works

From the first enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Bergisch Gladbach.

A date and a venue are enough for your first message, and I reply the same or the next day. Everything else, from setup to running order, we settle afterwards in a video call.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

Send me your date and venue, and I will get back to you the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. The video call commits you to nothing: we get to know each other, you tell me your ideas, and the quote follows afterwards.

  2. Booking & portal access

After you book, I open your wedding portal. There you enter your requested songs, no-gos and the schedule, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything once more by phone.

  3. Set-up & sound check

On the wedding day I arrive in good time, set up in about 40 minutes, run the sound check and coordinate with the speaker, photographer and catering staff.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, the pieces you have chosen play. At the reception, quiet lounge music sets the mood; if there is no power outlet, the battery takes over.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During the meal the music stays in the background. A wireless microphone is ready for speeches, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I pick a fitting track each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

You open the dance with your favorite song. After that I watch the floor and steer the set until all generations sing along to the final track.

Three generations will probably sit at your table, which is why soul sits next to current hits in my sets. From the first conversation to the last track, I take care of everything musical myself.

I choose the next song by the mood in the room; I leave the microphone to your speakers and keep to the background.

Music genres

Disco, soul, pop or current charts: which direction leads on your evening is decided by the mood of the guests, not by a fixed concept.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup and sound check take a good 40 minutes on a footprint of 2.5 by 1.5 meters, and I handle the teardown on my own. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Bergisch Gladbach want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
We are getting married in Bergisch Gladbach in a historic building with narrow stairs: how does your equipment get inside?

I carry my system in separate pieces, so steps are no obstacle for me. Send me a photo of the access or tell me the number of steps, and I will allow for the time I need to get everything in.

Half of our guests are coming from Cologne and have to catch the last train: can you take that into account?

Tell me the departure times and I will schedule the cake cutting, the bouquet toss and the opening dance before then. That way you all share the most important moments, and afterwards I let the evening carry on at its own pace.

My family has worked in the paper industry for generations, and we would like to pick that up with a surprise: can it be done with music?

Yes, there is room for it in the evening, for example with a fitting song or a short announcement that you write in advance. Tell me what moves you about the subject, and I will suggest the moment that works best.

Our guests range from eight to eighty-five: how do you get children and grandparents onto the same dance floor?

To start, I play tracks I know work for every age group and watch who stirs first. Then I draw the generations onto the floor one after another with gentle transitions, and your only part in it is dancing.

Our preferred date is a Friday in September: how early should we get in touch with you?

Write to me as soon as you know the date, because popular weekends in late summer get booked early. You will have my reply within 24 hours and know whether I am free that day.

For our entrance we would like a song that only exists as a piano version: can you get hold of something like that?

Send me the title and I will look for the recording or ask you for the file. At the soundcheck I test it and set the volume and cue so that your entrance is spot on.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you want to hear real live music at the reception or the ceremony, I book a saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin from my circle. We settle the right moment for the performance long before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

In the evening light a saxophone sounds warm and soft outdoors, while guests stand together glass in hand.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion brings energy into the hall, and the dance floor often fills up all by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

When someone sings live, your celebration gets a touch of a concert, and later the microphone is welcome to travel to the guests too.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violinist accompanies your entrance and turns the first walk into a festive opening that your guests will remember for a long time.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Non-stop Ballermann, après-ski and schlager?
I'll gladly slip in the right hit when it suits the mood.
A whole evening in that vein, though, is not my style.

Some DJs have specialised in exactly that.
You'll be in good hands with them.
    That's perfectly legitimate.
    I just work differently.

I specialise in live mixing at demanding events.
For anyone who knows that DJing is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right song at the right moment.
More than playing a ready-made playlist.

If that doesn't suit you, I'm not the right DJ, and that's fine.
If it does, then very gladly.
