Celebrations in Braunschweig
I ask you about the room, guest numbers and mood, because a hall on the edge of town calls for a different set than a hotel ballroom. You can celebrate your birthday in five venues: in the event house with movable walls, in the hotel by the nature reserve, in the city hotel on Berliner Platz, on the grounds among historic locomotives, or at the Ringgleis in the westand.
Your birthday in Braunschweig can take place in a hotel ballroom, in the conservatory of an event venue or in a hall with locomotives. How I set up depends on the room and the number of guests.
Your guests may listen to different things: friends from the club, colleagues and relatives, rock next to electro, oldies next to charts. If some of them prefer to hang back at the edge, I shape the music so that both groups have room.
The Panoramic explicitly lists birthdays as an occasion and names rooms from the conservatory for 20 to 50 guests to the ballroom for up to 400. For your group we look for the room size at which the dance floor feels full, and I set up the system accordingly.
By its own account, the Seela hosts smaller celebrations such as birthdays, christenings and anniversaries and lies on the edge of Riddagshausen. In a house with the restaurant Helmuts, a slim set that supports conversation instead of drowning it out is often enough.
The ACHAT Hotel lists birthdays and anniversaries as occasions and offers flexible rooms for up to 250 attendees. Depending on the room, I set up on a large or compact scale, and a slim setup is enough for a close circle.
The Lokpark's open-air area has room for up to 900 guests, and the Lokhalle also holds up to 900 people; large and private celebrations are mentioned. If you celebrate outdoors, we plan power access and weather protection for the system early on.
The westand am Ringgleis lists private events as an occasion. For a birthday in a venue that also hosts concerts, we clarify in advance how much closeness to your guests you would like.

Who I am
Your evening in Braunschweig should sound the way you imagine it, and that is exactly what I deliver. It all began behind the decks in a nightclub, later weddings, company evenings and birthdays followed, adding up to over 1450 events. For me, a birthday does not need a rigid schedule, but someone who listens and thinks along.
With my own edits I blend classics and current hits so that neighbours, club mates and aunts all dance together. Tell me beforehand what matters to you and what should not be played, and then you can enjoy the party yourself.
How it works
Send me the date and location, and I'll get back to you today or tomorrow; a video call and arrangements follow until the first track plays.

After booking you will receive my mobile number. I am quickly reachable via WhatsApp, and about a week before the party we clarify requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
Before your guests arrive, I set up the equipment, do a soundcheck and look at the room. Open questions I clear up with you or the venue, so that the evening starts calmly.
For arrivals there's subtle lounge music that gets conversations going. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I pick music that fits.
Every item on the evening's programme gets the right sound from me: music for the meal, a microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
As soon as the dance floor is open, I take the helm. I read the mood, change the set on the spur of the moment and keep young and old moving until the last song fades out.

I mix new hits and classics from many decades side by side, I collect your requests beforehand, and when in doubt the dance floor shows the way.
I arrive in good time before your guests, check the equipment in the room and take everything down myself after the party. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup area, no stairs or lifts) the setup takes around 40 minutes.
You decide which extras to add: lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I coordinate the rest.

+49 176 700 580 27Of course, sing-along hits are part of my set, and I quickly sense when your crowd wants them. Tell me in advance which songs are a must for you and I will work them in.
For your setup I only need a free stretch of wall and a normal power socket. If the room is small, I choose compact speakers so that you can still talk to your guests.
I start with songs from your youth that you and your guests know, and see who dares to dance. Then I keep the crowd going with the tracks you give me beforehand.
I bring wireless microphones, and for your speeches I fade the music down. Afterwards it comes back in, without you having to do anything.
Milestone birthdays get booked early, so allow a few months of lead time. For a small group, one month of lead time is often enough; I will tell you the next day whether your date is free.
I build both into blocks that flow into one another, so that your partner and you will both find music to dance to. Which direction comes first, you decide with me in the preliminary conversation.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
