Celebrations on the Weser
Cellar vault, hotel salon or terrace: depending on the room, your party needs more or less equipment, so I ask in advance about size, floor and neighbours. Four venues are on offer for your birthday: a vault at the market square, a hotel at the Bürgerpark, a hotel with a roof lounge in the old town and a hall space in the Überseestadt.
In Bremen you can choose between a vaulted cellar on the market square, the pubs and gardens of the Viertel and a roof lounge above the rooftops of the old town. Each setting sounds different, and I adjust my system to it.
For a party in a terraced house or a garden cabin, a small set with full sound is enough for me. A look at your floor plan and a word about the neighbours are all I need to know how loud I can go.
The Ratskeller lists its own birthday parties in historic walls on its website, with a choice of menu or buffet. The Historische Halle rests on 20 pillars, and the Priölken from 1599 are private booths for up to five people each, ideal for smaller groups. Where the dancing happens, we discuss before I set up.
The hotel in the old town lists birthdays alongside weddings and corporate events and features the Goldene Säle, the historic wine cellar and the roof lounge with a 360° panoramic view. For the cellar I keep my setup slim; for the roof lounge I ask beforehand about the house rules.
For smaller parties, the hotel at the Hollersee lists the Café am Hollersee with 54 m² and the Salon Hanse with 47 m², which can be opened up to the café. If you are planning a larger group, the Saal Gräfin Emma with 420 m² offers enough space.
The hall in the Überseestadt lists birthdays alongside company parties and weddings and offers 200 m² to 2,000 m² of space. For a big milestone birthday that leaves room for a proper dance floor; for a small group we limit the area.

Who I am
Your birthday in Bremen should sound like you, so first I want to know who is coming: the friends from your student days, the neighbours from your street, the relatives from the surrounding area. From your requested tracks and pieces I suggest to you, a framework emerges that I rebuild on the night according to the mood in the room.
If a request would land at the wrong moment, I suggest playing it an hour later. That way your evening keeps moving, from the first glass to the last round.

Send me the date and place, I reply the same or the next day, and after a short video call your quote is ready.

When you book, you get my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach me. About a week before the party, we sort out requests, no-gos and the schedule.
Setup takes around 40 minutes, and I allow plenty of time beforehand to sort out the equipment and sound check in peace. I clear any last questions with you or the venue so that nothing goes wrong.
Quiet lounge music helps your guests arrive and get into conversation. For you and the special moments, I pick tracks that belong to you.
I give the programme of your evening the right sound: music during the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, the right tracks for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
As soon as the floor is free, I take over. I watch the mood, adapt the set on the spot to your guests and keep young and old on the dance floor until the last song fades out.

Current hits, disco and classics from many decades play side by side with me, and what your guests like determines the order.
My setup needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the party I clear everything away myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes about 40 minutes.
Which extras get added is entirely up to you, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book; I take care of the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27Yes, for a pub, living room or garden shed I choose a small set that still sounds full. Beforehand I ask how much space you have and how quiet it should stay for the neighbours.
Give me the names and the rough order beforehand, and I will fade out and back in cleanly. The microphone is ready, and after the words I bring your guests back to the floor with a song.
First come songs that almost everyone knows. Depending on how the dancers react, I then venture bit by bit towards the edges of the spectrum. A request from the corner gets its place with me as soon as it fits the moment.
For your milestone birthday in a hall, I like to plan a few months' lead time, because the popular Saturdays go early. For a small party there is usually more flexibility, and if it is urgent, you will know within 24 hours whether I am free that day.
That works: on request, someone with a saxophone, voice, violin or drums comes from my network and plays over my mix. You decide when the performance takes place.

To begin with, you send me the date, the room and the number of guests. Then you tell me in a conversation how the evening should turn out, and a few days beforehand we clarify whatever is still open.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
