Celebrations in Freiburg
Whether a banquet hall above the city, a hotel salon or a terrace by the lake: every room carries music differently, and I tailor my suggestion for your party to it. Your birthday in Freiburg can take place wherever you like: up on the hill, by the lake or in a hotel salon. Here you will find five venues and their options for private celebrations.
If you celebrate in Freiburg in a banquet hall above the city, a restaurant by the lake or a castle hall, I adapt the system to the room and the number of guests. You tell me the venue of your invitation, and I take care of the rest.
If you invite guests to your home or garden, I pack a small set that can run on a battery if need be. We clarify space, power and setup time beforehand, and for setup I allow 40 minutes.
The Dattler lists birthdays and family celebrations among its occasions and promotes parties above the rooftops of the city. Two separate banquet halls are available, and for smaller groups there are tables in the panorama restaurant. How big my setup will be depends on whether you celebrate in the hall or in the restaurant.
The Hirschen in Lehen lists birthdays and anniversaries alongside weddings and christenings and offers rooms for 10 to 150 guests, with a garden and sun terrace in good weather. For a small circle I keep the sound quiet, for 150 guests I lay out the floor differently.
The restaurant at the Waldsee explicitly mentions milestone birthdays and hosts parties in the restaurant, the hall or on the large terrace. Outdoors it depends on power and weather, and we sort that out before you commit.
The Hotel Schloss Reinach in Munzingen lists family celebrations alongside wedding and company parties and shows the Saal Reinach on its website. Whether it is the hall or another room determines how much equipment I pack.
The Colombi lists family celebrations in the Salon Guildford, which measures 68 square metres and, according to the hotel, seats 50 guests at a banquet. The Salon Padua with 54 square metres is intended for parties in a small circle. In rooms that small, everything with me revolves around conversation and quiet music.
I looked up the rooms, spaces and occasions with the venue operators (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit in is something only the venue itself can tell you.
Who I am
You are celebrating in Freiburg, I provide the sound. I started out in the club, later private and corporate parties came along, up to more than 1450 events. A good birthday party needs no rigid schedule, but someone who reads the crowd. From classics and new tracks I build my own edits, so that friends from university and relatives from home dance together.
Tell me your wishes and no-gos in advance, and you can enjoy the evening yourself. If you like, I will explain to you beforehand how I build the evening in phases, from the welcome to the finish.
How it works
Send me the date and venue, and I will get back to you the same or the next day. Then come the video call, arrangements and setup.
Request a dateWithin one day of your inquiry I get back to you. In a short video call you tell me about your birthday and then receive your offer.
When you book, you get my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the quickest way to sort most things out. A week before the party we go through requests, no-gos and the schedule.
I am in the room before the guests, set up the equipment and do the soundcheck, which takes about 40 minutes. I clear up open questions with you or the venue, so the evening runs unobtrusively.
Calm lounge music accompanies the arrival, so your guests easily start talking. For you as the birthday guest of honor and for special moments, I choose the fitting track.
The program gets its music too: quiet during dinner, with a microphone for speeches and announcements, and fitting tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
From the first dance I take over completely, read the mood and shape the set around your guests until the last song fades out.

Your set is created on the night, just for you, and grows with the mood. Tracks from several decades get even those onto the floor who first only wanted to watch. A living room, an attic or a garden is enough for me, because I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is running or someone is speaking, I turn the music down immediately.

I need about 40 minutes for setup, the rig takes up roughly 2.5 by 1.5 meters, and after the party I clear up myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.
You can add lighting, a photo station, live music and an audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

Yes, a wireless microphone is ready for you, and a short nod is enough for your friends' toast. I turn the music down as soon as you speak and start again afterwards. How many announcements you want from me is up to you.
On the contrary, it is my starting point. I take over your tracks and add to them when I notice the dance floor needs something different. Anything that should not be played, you tell me beforehand.
For milestone birthdays on a weekend, a few months of lead time are worthwhile, while for small celebrations a few weeks are often enough. Even at short notice, a message is worth it: you will hear from me on the same day whether your date is still free.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your party, I'm not the right DJ, and that's fine. If it does, let's talk.
