My first night behind a club booth was in 1998, and after more than 1450 events I sense early on which way the mood is heading. Celebrating on the Elbe
Ship's saloon, hotel ballroom or warehouse loft: first tell me about your room, because I adjust the size and placement of my setup to it. Five addresses are available for your birthday: a museum ship at the quay, a hotel on the Elbe slope, a grand hotel on the Alster and two shipping companies that rent out boats for parties.
Your birthday can take place aboard a museum ship, in a hotel on the Elbe slope, in a grand hotel on the Alster or on a rented boat from the harbour shipping companies. A slim setup is enough for a few friends, and for the whole family I bring more; all I need from you is the address.
If the party is at your home, on the balcony or in the garden, I bring a handy system that works without a power socket. A short phone call beforehand is enough to settle the spot and the arrival time, and then the day belongs entirely to you and your guests.
On the museum ship at the Überseebrücke you can celebrate, according to the operator, with 20 to 500 people on around 2,000 square metres; it was built in 1961 and 1962 for the shipping line Hamburg Süd. Whether you celebrate in one of the historic salons in sixties style or on deck determines my setup.
The hotel on the Elbchaussee has existed since 1791, according to the operator, and its website shows the Elbsalon with round tables and a view of the Elbe. The house also has the launch MS Jacob for parties on the Elbe. We will discuss in advance how many guests you expect, so I know how much equipment is needed.
The harbour shipping company rents out vessels for family celebrations from two hours up to a whole day and, by its own account, organises events for up to 1000 people. If you celebrate on board, we agree which area has room for music and where your guests can talk in peace.
On the Alster, Alster-Touristik rents out boats for social celebrations; on the traditional boats, according to the operator, a projector, screen and microphone system can be installed. If you plan to show photos or give a speech, I bring my equipment matched to that.
The hotel stands right on the Outer Alster, opened in 1909 and, according to Wikipedia, has 13 event rooms. Which hall suits you depends on the number of your guests, and I plan my equipment for you accordingly.
Rooms, capacities and occasions come from the operators' websites and from Wikipedia, as of October 2026. Whether your date is available and how many guests fit into the room, you can only clarify directly with the venue.
Who I am
You invite people to Hamburg, I bring the sound. I've been behind the booth since my first nights in a club in 1998, and by now it's more than 1450 events, private and corporate. I don't need a rigid schedule for a successful party; what matters more is that someone listens.
I blend classics and current hits in my own edits so that older and younger guests alike get up to dance. Tell me beforehand what you like to hear and what's a no-go, and your evening will run smoothly, so you can relax and celebrate along.
How it works
Send me the date and location of your celebration, and I'll have replied by the next day at the latest, followed by a video call, setup and party. I answer any questions in between personally.
Request a dateI get back to you no later than one day after your inquiry. In a short video call you tell me about your birthday, and then your offer follows.
When you book, you get my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach me. Seven days before the party we go over requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
Before the guests arrive, I set up; around 40 minutes is enough for the setup, followed by the soundcheck. I clear up any last questions with you or the venue so that everything runs smoothly and unobtrusively.
On arrival, subtle lounge music lets your guests settle into conversation. For the birthday guest of honor or a special moment, I pick the music that fits exactly.
I hit the right tone for the program: music for dinner, a mic for speeches and announcements, fitting tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
Once the dance floor is open, I take over completely. I feel the mood, adapt the set spontaneously to your guests and get young and old onto the floor until the last song plays.

A set just for you: I put it together for your birthday and shift it as the party develops. Songs from several decades also draw the shy ones onto the floor. I need very little space, because a balcony, a garden or the living room is enough and I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow or a speech comes up, I pull the music back immediately.

Current hits play alongside classics from many decades at my sets, and I collect your requests in advance without stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
My system needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres of floor space, is ready after around 40 minutes and is sound-checked before the party; after the party I dismantle everything myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup location, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
Whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book: you alone decide which extras come along, and I take over the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27Yes, even with twenty people I quickly see who wants to dance, and I tailor the music to those guests. If a suitable system is already at the venue, I use it; otherwise I bring my own. In a small group the volume stays low enough that you can chat comfortably.
Of course, a wireless microphone is ready whenever you want to welcome someone or give a speech. I'm also happy to pass it on to your friends for a toast. How often I make announcements myself is up to you.
Anytime: just step up to the booth, I'll note down the track and play it as soon as it fits the flow. Your list is the foundation, but the evening benefits just as much from your guests' requests.
If you are planning a milestone birthday on board or in a hall, it is better to write to me months in advance, because Saturdays are booked quickly. A small party can often be planned with a few weeks' notice as well. Tell me your preferred date, and by the following day at the latest you will know whether my calendar allows it.
That can be arranged: I know musicians who play live over my mix, on saxophone for example, and I will introduce you to them. If you would rather hear a voice, a violin or percussion, I can arrange that for you too. We pick the best moment for the performance during our very first phone call.

First you give me the date, the room and the approximate number of guests, then we talk in detail about your favorite music, and at the party I'm happy to take on requests called out by your group.

Transparency
Nothing but schlager and Ballermann for hours on end? I'm happy to let the odd crowd-pleaser run when your guests ask for it, because they belong at a good birthday party. Building my whole evening on them isn't for me, though. Nor am I a fit for techno sets that ignore the crowd, for request lists worked through rigidly, or for festivals with several stages. I leave that to colleagues who are good at it and enjoy it; I have nothing against them, it's simply not my field.
I play live, for guests with a feel for the moment: the transitions are tight, the song suits the hour, and nothing just runs on autopilot. That is why I would rather tell you in advance what I don't offer than have you annoyed on the night.
