Celebrations in Hanover
I ask you about the room, guest count and mood, because every venue in Hanover calls for a different set. You can celebrate your birthday in five places: in the Prunksaal or the Festscheune of the zoo, in the baroque hall in Herrenhausen, in the festive hall of the Schlossküche, in the hotel on Luisenstraße or in the former factory building at Pelikanplatz.
For your birthday in Hanover there are wine cellars, hotel ballrooms, zoo venues and a baroque hall for hundreds. How I set up depends on the room and the number of guests.
Your guests probably like different things: colleagues, relatives and neighbours, pop next to schlager, house next to oldies. Whoever prefers to chat at the edge gets music from me that leaves room for conversation while the dance floor in the middle keeps going.
For celebrations the zoo offers Yukon Bay, the Prunksaal, the Festscheune and the Palastterrasse, among others, and lists family celebrations such as birthdays. Depending on the room I set up big or understated, and on the terrace I adjust the volume so that conversation stays possible.
The hotel lists birthdays, christenings and anniversaries among its occasions and has a vaulted wine cellar. For an evening in the cellar a slim set is enough, so you can still talk with your guests.
The gallery in the Herrenhausen Gardens has a hall of 700 square metres and lists receptions, banquets and cocktail parties; up to 430 guests can be seated for a banquet. In a space this size I plan the sound so that even a milestone birthday with many guests sounds good everywhere.
The venue describes a bright festive hall with a bar and parquet dance floor between the Fig Garden and the Kitchen Garden. For your party we agree where the dance floor, bar and tables go, so nobody ends up sitting off to the side.
The hotel is housed in the former Pelikan factory of 1906 and lists seven event rooms and a ballroom; the largest hall, Mozart, holds up to 250 guests in rows. Because rooms can be combined, I base the setup on the number of your guests.
Rooms, venues and occasions come from the operators' websites and a wedding portal, as of October 2026. Whether your date is free, you can only find out from the respective venue.
Who I am
Your evening in Hanover should sound like you, and I make that happen. It all began for me at the club DJ booth, later weddings, company events and birthdays came along, up to more than 1450 events today. A birthday doesn't need a rigid schedule, but someone who listens and thinks along.
My edits blend classics and current hits so that school friends, aunts and neighbours end up on the same floor. Tell me beforehand what matters to you and what shouldn't be played, then you can enjoy the evening yourself.
How it works
Send me the date and venue, I'll get back to you the same day or the next, followed by a video call and arrangements up to the first track.
Request a dateWrite to me with the date and place, and I will reply within a day at most. In a short video call you tell me about your party, and afterwards you receive your quote.
Once you have booked, you get my mobile number. I am quick to reach on WhatsApp, and about a week before the party we settle requests, no-gos and the schedule.
Before the guests arrive, I set up, and a soundcheck and a look around the room are part of that. I clear up open questions with you or the venue so that everything starts smoothly.
On arrival, understated lounge music plays so that conversations can develop. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose music that suits it.
I give the highlights of the evening the right sound: music for the meal, a microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
Once the dance floor is open, the evening is in my hands. I sense the mood, change the set spontaneously and keep young and old moving until the last song has faded.

Current hits sit alongside classics from many decades, I collect your requests in advance, and when in doubt the dance floor decides.
I arrive in good time before your guests, check the sound in the room and pack everything away myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
You decide which extras to add: lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I take care of the coordination.

Yes, in a flat things get lively quickly once the music fits. I put a compact system against the wall; apart from one power socket I need nothing.
First I play songs that every generation knows and see where the guests are drawn. Then I steer the dance floor in your direction with your favourite tracks.
Of course, I bring wireless microphones, and I pull the music back for every speech. Afterwards I fade it gently back in.
A date stays free until I book it. Round birthdays go early, so you should enquire a few months ahead. For a small circle you plan about one to two months; within 24 hours I will tell you whether your day is still free.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
