I started in a discotheque in 1998, I have played private parties since 2004, and after more than 1450 events I can tell early where the evening is heading. Celebrating on the Neckar
A castle hall, a hotel salon and a boat deck each sound different, and I shape my suggestion for your party around where you celebrate. Five addresses are on offer for your birthday: rooms in the castle, a Spiegelsaal at the Kornmarkt, a boat on the Neckar, the backstage area of a concert venue in the Bahnstadt and a fireplace room in the hotel.
For your birthday in Heidelberg, a castle hall, the Spiegelsaal, a ship deck or the backstage area of a concert hall are options, and depending on your choice I adapt the system to the size of your group. You tell me where the invitation goes, and I'll handle the rest.
A celebration at home or in the garden works with a small set that, if needed, also runs without a power outlet. Beforehand we clarify how much space there is, where the power comes from and how long I need to set up, so that in the evening all you have to do is celebrate.
The castle promotes birthday parties by saying that a celebration there is something special at any age, and besides birthdays it also mentions club anniversaries and large family celebrations. On its page for private guests it shows the Königssaal. Whether you celebrate in the hall or in the courtyard determines how much equipment I bring.
The Palais Prinz Carl at the Kornmarkt lists private celebrations such as birthdays, christenings, doctoral celebrations and anniversaries. According to the operator, the Spiegelsaal holds standing receptions of up to 199 guests and long tables for up to 144 guests. Whether you invite your closest circle or all your friends decides the size of my setup.
The Weisse Flotte Heidelberg also charters its boats for birthdays and anniversaries. The fleet includes the MS Queen Silvia, the MS Liselotte von der Pfalz and the MS Europa, among others. How my music fits in on board, I settle beforehand with you and the shipping company.
The halle02 in the Bahnstadt rents out its club for about 200 to 400 people and its backstage area for up to 50 people for private parties. For a small circle backstage I play differently than for a club night with hundreds, and we decide that beforehand.
Der Europäische Hof mentions private celebrations alongside weddings and conferences. The Kaminzimmer measures 85 square metres, the Liselottenstube 77, and by combining the rooms, according to the operator, up to 100 guests can be received. In a small room I keep the volume low and leave space for conversation.

Who I am
You invite people to Heidelberg, I deliver the sound. I have worked at the booth since 1998, first in the discotheque, from 2004 at private and corporate parties, and to date at more than 1450 events. To me, a good party needs no fixed schedule, but someone who listens.
In my edits, classics and current hits flow into each other so that your younger and older guests dance together. Tell me your wishes and no-gos beforehand, and the evening runs without a big show, so you can celebrate relaxed yourself.
How it works
Send me the date and place of your party, I will get back to you the same or the next day, then come the video call, setup and celebration. I answer any questions in between personally.
Request a dateAfter your inquiry you'll hear from me within a day. In a short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards your offer is ready.
When you book, you get my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the fastest way. A week before the party we settle requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
I'm there one to two hours before your guests and set up the equipment and soundcheck. I clear up open questions with you or the venue, so that later everything runs quietly in the background.
On arrival, soft lounge music plays so the guests can settle into conversation. For the birthday guest of honor and special moments I pick the track that fits exactly.
The program gets its sound too: calm music during the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, fitting pieces for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as people start dancing, I take over completely. I read the mood, adapt the set to your guests and keep young and old moving until the last song.

For your birthday I build a set that belongs only to you and develop it further over the evening. Tracks from several decades bring even those guests onto the floor who first only wanted to watch. A balcony, a garden or the living room is enough for me, since I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is running or someone is giving a speech, I take the music back immediately.

About two hours before the guests arrive, my equipment is set up and sound-checked, and after the party I clear up myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.

+49 176 700 580 27Even with twenty guests, it helps to have someone who notices who wants to dance. If the venue's system is good, I connect to it; otherwise I bring my own. For your small party the sound stays discreet, so people can keep talking.
Of course, a wireless microphone is ready for you at the booth, and friends with a toast can take it too. I only speak at the points you want; how much hosting you'd like, we set beforehand.
Sure, a quick call-out at the booth is enough for you and your guests. If a track doesn't fit the moment, I save it for later. Your list remains the basis, but your guests are welcome to help shape the evening.
For milestone birthdays, you should register several months ahead, because I assign the popular Saturdays first. For your small party, a few weeks are usually enough. If your date is tight, give me a call, and the same day you'll learn whether I have time.
That works: through my network I find a saxophonist for you who plays live along with my mix, and you receive his contact details. Instead of a saxophone, a singer, a violinist or a percussionist can join in too, if you prefer. We discuss the right moment for you during the first phone call.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
