Celebrating in Hildesheim
I'll ask you about the room, guest count and mood, because every venue in Hildesheim calls for a different set. You can celebrate your birthday in five venues: in the Art Nouveau hall with a club room, in the hotel on the market square, in the Kupferschmiede with its terrace, in the large hall on Lerchenkamp, or in the hotel by the station.
Whether it is a club room for a small group, a hotel ballroom or a big hall: birthdays in Hildesheim are celebrated in very different rooms. I decide on the setup once I know how many guests are coming and how the room is laid out.
At your party, tastes collide, from the indie of your fellow students to the Schlager of your aunt. Some guests prefer to stay at the edge and talk, so I keep the volume at a level where people can still chat.
The venue lists birthdays and anniversaries as occasions and offers a banquet hall for up to 140 people with a parquet dance floor and bar, plus a club room for up to 28 people. For a small circle in the club room, a slim set is enough, so you can still talk with everyone.
The hotel on the market square lists private celebrations and provides eight flexible rooms for up to 180 guests. How many guests you invite determines how I set up the music and the equipment.
The Kupferschmiede lists family celebrations among its occasions and offers an arcade hall, a panorama hall, a brasserie with a conservatory and a terrace. If you celebrate both outside and inside, we plan when the music moves from the terrace into the hall.
The venue lists parties and family celebrations; its largest room measures 800 square metres, and there are four more function rooms and an outdoor area. For a milestone birthday with many guests, I set up the sound system so that it fills the height of the room.
The listed hotel has 13 event rooms and lists private celebrations. With several rooms you can separate dining and dancing, and I adapt the music to each area.
Rooms, capacities and occasions come from the operators' websites and an event directory, as of October 2026. Whether your date is free can only be confirmed by the venue itself.
Who I am
Your evening in Hildesheim should sound the way you imagine it, and I make that happen. I started at the club DJ booth, later weddings, company evenings and birthdays followed, and now it's over 1450 events. In my view a birthday doesn't need a rigid schedule, but someone who listens.
With my edits I combine classics and current hits so that cousins, fellow students and neighbours end up on the same dance floor. Tell me beforehand what matters to you and what should never be played, and then you can enjoy your own party.
How it works
Send me the date and place, and I will get back to you the same day or the next, followed by a video call and arrangements right up to the first track.
Request a dateWrite to me with the date and place, and I will reply within a day at most. In a short video call you tell me about your party, and afterwards you receive your quote.
Once you have booked, you get my mobile number. I am quick to reach on WhatsApp, and about a week before the party we settle requests, no-gos and the schedule.
Before the guests arrive, I set up, and a soundcheck and a look around the room are part of that. I clear up open questions with you or the venue so that everything starts smoothly.
On arrival, understated lounge music plays so that conversations can develop. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose music that suits it.
I give the highlights of the evening the right sound: music for the meal, a microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
Once the dance floor is open, the evening is in my hands. I sense the mood, change the set spontaneously and keep young and old moving until the last song has faded.

Current hits sit alongside classics from many decades, I collect your requests in advance, and when in doubt the dance floor decides.
I arrive in good time before your guests, check the sound in the room and pack everything away myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
You decide which extras to add: lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I take care of the coordination.

A DJ can be worthwhile even in small rooms, because they fill up quickly. I set up compactly and only need a power socket and a bit of wall.
That works; I scatter English and international tracks between the German ones. Tell me beforehand what works for your guests, and I will plan it in.
Of course, I bring wireless microphones and turn the music down for speeches. Afterwards I bring it back up again without any break.
I will tell you within a day whether your date is free. I like to plan milestone birthdays with a few months of lead time; for smaller parties, four to eight weeks are usually enough.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
