I am Michael Zimmermann, and I put together the music for your wedding in Hildesheim, from the sparkling-wine reception to the final song. You may have friends from the old town, family from the villages of the Börde and people from the university sitting at the same table. Wedding venues in Hildesheim
Art Nouveau hall, hotel on the market square or event hall: I ask in advance about the room, access and outdoor area, because in Hildesheim every venue needs its own arrangement. Five venues show how different a wedding in Hildesheim can be: an Art Nouveau hall in the woods, a hotel on the market square, an event location with a conservatory and terrace, a large hall on the Lerchenkamp and a listed hotel at the station. How I set up in each venue, we work out together.
In Hildesheim, your choice ranges from a banquet hall on the edge of the forest to hotel rooms at the market square to a hall of 800 square metres. I decide which equipment to bring once I know the venue and the number of guests.
Your guests probably bring all kinds of tastes, from indie to schlager. A single style rarely carries through to late at night, so I switch between the decades as soon as the dance floor calls for it.
The Art Nouveau banquet hall dates from the 19th century and, according to the venue, holds up to 140 people; it comes with a parquet dance floor, a bar, a separable buffet room and an outdoor terrace in the woods. It also includes a club room for up to 28 people, and the venue lists weddings as an occasion. With high ceilings and large windows I check the room's sound beforehand so that speeches stay intelligible.
The hotel sits on the historic market square and lists eight flexible event rooms for up to 180 guests; it explicitly names weddings as an occasion. Because the rooms can be reconfigured, I adjust the setup and volume to the number of your guests.
The Kupferschmiede lists an arcade hall, a panorama hall, a conservatory and a Wild-Park terrace; the venue as a whole offers 350 to 600 seats, and weddings are among the occasions. With several areas, we decide where you hold the reception, where the meal takes place and where the dancing happens later.
The venue has five function rooms and an outdoor area; the largest room measures 800 square meters with a height of 9.5 meters, banquet seating is possible for up to 300 people, and weddings are mentioned. A hall this high calls for a setup that keeps the sound together, and I plan that with you.
The listed hotel in the city center has 13 event rooms, the largest measuring 700 square meters; the venue names private celebrations as an occasion. In a hotel with several rooms, we agree on where the ceremony, the meal and the dancing take place and how the equipment gets there.
The details on rooms and occasions come from the operators' websites and an event directory, as of October 2026. Whether your date is free and how many guests fit can only be confirmed by the venue itself.
I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
Who I am
You are getting married in Hildesheim, and your tables may seat university friends next to aunts from the Börde. That is why I ask in advance: How old are the guests, what do you wish for, what should never be played? I started at a club DJ booth, and today I have over 25 years and more than 1450 events behind me, over 650 of them weddings.
I cut titles from different decades together myself so that young and old dance at the same time. In the end you should be able to say: That was our day. I am happy to answer any questions about this in advance.
How it works
A short message is enough, and you get my answer within 24 hours; after that come the video call, arrangements and setup, until the opening dance begins.

After booking, I unlock your wedding portal. There you enter special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything by phone.
I am at the venue before your guests arrive. I set up the equipment, check the sound of the room, go over last details with the speaker and the photographer, and stay in the background for the guests.
For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, the music carries the mood. At the sparkling wine reception, quiet lounge music plays, and outdoors without a power outlet everything works on battery.
For the meal I provide a calm soundtrack. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose suitable music each time.
You open the dance with your requested edit, then the party begins. I read the floor, change the set live and keep all generations moving until the last song.

I arrive in good time before the first guests, set up calmly, test the sound and take everything down myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
Outdoor
For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit of a free ceremony I do not need a mains connection, because a strong battery carries the ceremony.
You can book the photo station, live music, uplights and audio guest book together with me if you wish, and I coordinate everything.

High rooms like to throw the sound back, so I test the system in the empty hall before your celebration. Then I aim the speakers so that your speeches come across clearly.
Tell me in the preliminary talk when your friend is on and what technical needs he has. I pull my music back so that you hear no gap between his piece and my set.
No, I bring the sound system, lights and microphones myself and only need a power socket and some space. Whether you celebrate in Hildesheim or in Harsum, I set everything up myself; your venue does not have to contribute anything.
Send me the date and place, and then you will know within a day whether I am still free. I book summer Saturdays early, so you should write to me a few months ahead.
With about forty guests, two compact speakers and a single power socket are enough for me. Only when you reach around 150 people do I add more speakers.

Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Service area

To start, you send me a short message with the date, the venue and the approximate number of people. Then we use a video call to work out which songs matter to you and which moments you want to highlight, and a few days before the date we talk by phone once more.
