Celebrating at the Deutsches Eck
Wine cellar, hotel hall or palace room: I ask first about your room, because that determines how much equipment I bring and where it goes. Four venues come into question for your birthday: a winery on the fortress hill, two hotels with their own restaurants and a palace on the Rhine.
In Koblenz you can celebrate on the Rhine, on the Moselle or on the heights above the city, in a winery courtyard, a hotel or a restaurant. If only a few friends come, a slim system is enough for me; with the whole family I set up more. At first I only need the address from you.
At home or on the balcony, a small system that runs entirely without a socket is enough for me. We discuss the space and power connection beforehand, and for setup I need about 40 minutes, so that you can be relaxed with your guests in the evening.
For groups, Koblenz-Touristik lists tasting rooms for up to 120 people and a Mediterranean courtyard, plus wine tastings and cellar tours all year round by registration. Whether a birthday party is also possible there is something only the winery can tell you. If you choose the courtyard, my setup depends on the weather and the neighbours.
The hotel lists private celebrations alongside conferences and corporate events. The rooms are named after Koblenz districts and rivers, such as Lützel, Goldgrube, Moselweiß or Lahn, and according to the operator the ballroom is 378 square metres. Which room suits your guest count is something you discuss with the hotel, and then I plan my equipment.
The 30-room house is family-owned and runs its own restaurant, Schiller's Manufaktur & Brasserie. Which rooms you can get for a party is something to clarify with the hotel; for my system, an area of about 2.5 by 1.5 metres is enough for me.
At the palace on the Rhine, the city of Koblenz has rented out the ceremonial rooms in the central wing for events since the Federal Garden Show. The garden descends in terraces to the river. For a hall with a high ceiling I first listen to how the sound decays, and then set the volume accordingly.
I took the details on rooms, spaces and occasions from the operators and official sources (as of October 2026). Only the venue itself can tell you whether your preferred date is free and how many guests fit.
Who I am
You invite to Koblenz, I bring the sound. My path behind the booth began in 1998 in a nightclub, later private and corporate celebrations were added, and by now there are more than 1450 events. For me a good party follows no fixed plan; it needs someone who listens.
I link classics and current hits with my own transitions so that your older and younger guests all make it to the dance floor. Tell me beforehand what you like and what is out of the question, and your evening will run smoothly while you celebrate along.
How it works
You send me the date and place, I get back to you the same or the next day, and then come the video call, the setup and the party. In between, I answer your questions personally.
Request a dateAfter your enquiry it takes at most one day until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your quote.
With the booking you receive my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule together.
Before the guests arrive, I set up in about 40 minutes and do the soundcheck. I clear up last questions with you or the venue so that everything runs calmly and unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music lets the guests find their way into conversation calmly as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

Your birthday gets its own set from me, which I keep adapting throughout the party. With tracks from different decades, I even get those onto the dance floor who only wanted to watch at first. I bring my compact setup myself, so a balcony, a garden or your living room is enough for me. If there's a slideshow or a speech, I turn the music down right away.

I mix current hits with classics from many decades, and I ask for your requests in advance instead of stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
My setup takes about 40 minutes, then I check the equipment, and after the party I take everything down myself. For that, about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes about 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27Even with twelve guests I notice who feels like dancing and shape my selection accordingly. I always bring my own system, and whether I also use the venue's equipment I decide with you on site. When only a few guests are there, I keep the volume low so you can chat comfortably.
A wireless microphone is ready for that, and you or your friends can use it for speeches and toasts. How much I announce myself is up to you.
Tell me the title at the booth, I note it down and play it as soon as it fits the flow of the evening. Your wish list is my foundation, but I also pick up requests from your guests.
As soon as your date is set, and for a milestone birthday ideally several months ahead, because Saturdays get scarce. For a small party, a few weeks of lead time are often enough. By one day after your message at the latest, you will know whether my calendar allows the date.
A garden party with saxophone works well: I ask a musician I know, and he plays directly along with my tracks. If you prefer vocals, violin or percussion, I take care of that too. You decide with me when he joins in.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
