Company parties in Koblenz

Company parties in Koblenz.

Congress hall, hotel ballroom or palace hall: in a city on the Rhine the rooms are very different, so I first ask about the programme and the room. Four venues show the range for your company evening: an anniversary in the Stadthalle, a party in the hotel ballroom, a reception in the palace or a smaller circle in the family hotel.

Hall, ballroom or palace: corporate event in Koblenz

In Koblenz the rooms range from the Rhein-Mosel-Halle with its two-storey atrium to the state rooms in the Electoral Palace on the Rhine bank. Which system I set up depends on the room, so please tell me first how many guests are coming and what is to happen that evening.

A hotel ballroom needs different sound than a palace hall, and I set up either in about 40 minutes myself. In the briefing we put dinner, speeches and the start of dancing into a schedule, and I also take care of the teardown.

Rhein-Mosel-Halle

Julius-Wegeler-Straße 4, Koblenz

The hall is a municipal enterprise and lists company parties and anniversary celebrations among its occasions, for example an anniversary with about 400 guests. The atrium spans two levels with 650 and 220 square metres, and the Rheinsaal has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the river. Which part of the building your evening gets, we clarify early so that I can tailor sound and setup to it.

CONTEL Hotel Koblenz

Pastor-Klein-Straße 19, Koblenz

The hotel describes itself as suitable for conferences, corporate events and private parties. According to the operator the ballroom is 378 square metres, and there are smaller rooms with names like Lützel, Goldgrube or Moselweiß. According to the hotel, events with around 200 to 250 people are possible, and I align my equipment accordingly.

Kurfürstliches Schloss

on the Rhine bank, Koblenz

Since the Federal Garden Show, the city of Koblenz has rented out the ceremonial rooms in the central wing of the palace for events. The building was constructed between 1777 and 1793 and stands on the Rhine. In historic rooms a sound system sounds different than in a modern hall, so I listen to the space beforehand together with you.

Hotel Stein

Mayener Straße 126, Koblenz

The family hotel with 30 rooms lists bright conference rooms and runs its own restaurant, Schiller's Manufaktur & Brasserie. For an evening in a smaller circle you ask the hotel about the rooms, and only then do I adjust my setup.

I took the details on rooms, occasions and floor space from the operators and official sources (as of October 2026). Please ask the respective venue about available dates.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

The structure of your evening in Koblenz guides my planning: first the welcome, then the speeches, and finally the dance floor. I started out in a discotheque in 1998, and from 2004 private and corporate events were added. Beforehand we go through by phone or video call when there will be speeches and when there will be dancing.

I do not want to stand out; my transitions let the parts of your event flow into one another. Who speaks at your event and what should play alongside is something we put in writing. On the day I bring equipment and wireless microphones, set up and check the sound.

Everything behind
the mix

At company parties, several generations often dance together, so soul plays alongside current charts with me. As soon as you have booked me, I plan the entire music step by step up to the final track.

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

My set is created live from the mood in the room; unobtrusive in the background, I pick up the microphone only for speeches and programme items.

One fixed contact person

I get in touch with you within 24 hours and then support you with all planning questions up to the event. With questions you reach me directly, without a waiting loop and without a callback from colleagues who would first have to get to know your case.

An evening that is planned beforehand

Your music wish list is the start, then I clarify details myself with the venue and service providers, so that you do not have to chase after them. Tracks and themes that do not suit your occasion I note in the conversation and consistently keep out of the programme.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From the soul of the seventies to today's charts, we agree your music programme beforehand, and I combine the genres into one whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

For setup I need about 40 minutes, and the system itself takes up around 2.5 by 1.5 metres; after the last track I clear everything away myself. For that, about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes about 40 minutes.

Gala & Awards

For your gala or anniversary celebration too, I apply the same standard as for every company party, from the first guest to the farewell.

Optional: extras

If you would like live music, a photo station or uplights as well, I organise that personally with you as part of the same planning.

Good questions

Questions from organisers in Koblenz answered.

These are the questions organisers ask me most often, and if yours is missing, simply pick up the phone.

Do we need our own speakers, or do you bring the complete sound system?

I bring a system that suits your room, together with microphones and controller. If the house equipment is usable, I connect to it as soon as you have sent me photos and data.

What if twice as many guests turn up at our anniversary as we registered?

I calculate my sound system with a reserve, so you will not notice if more people attend than registered. Up to 150 people my own equipment is enough, and for larger events I tell you early which partners I bring in.

How do we decide when the management speaks and when the music plays?

In the preliminary talk you and I enter the welcome, dinner, awards and start of dancing into a shared schedule. That way I know when each item begins and keep the microphone free for your announcements.

We celebrate first in the foyer and then in the hall: how does the music accompany that move?

In the foyer I keep the music subtle so you can talk comfortably, and in the hall I turn it up towards the dance floor. At the changeover I give you a buffer for long speeches, and I coordinate the schedule with your venue.

Is a lead time of six weeks still enough for our company Christmas party in Koblenz?

Yes, that works: with four to eight weeks until the date you are well placed, though in December an earlier message is wiser. You will have my answer by the next day at the latest, and I only write the invoice after your event.

Can you bring a live musician along to your set for our summer party?

I am happy to arrange that: a musician from my network, whether on saxophone, violin, percussion or microphone, performs alongside my mix. It goes down best at the reception or when the dance floor opens; you and I settle the timing in the briefing.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

If you would like a singer, a violinist, a saxophonist or percussion at your company party, I establish the contact from my network. In which phase of the evening the performance works, we consider together beforehand.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone sounds relaxed and stylish at the foyer reception, especially as the evening slowly turns into night.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

In a large hall with a wide dance floor, percussion gives the mix drive and groove, without a whole band and its equipment having to turn up.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

Anyone who wants to combine wine-festival atmosphere with party spirit can rely on a voice that sings hits live and gets your staff celebrating along.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

At a gala in a historic building, a violin lends the evening dignity, as its sound creates a festive mood straight away when guests are welcomed.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

Real corporate events as live recordings, unedited, without a studio mix and without gloss, but not a template evening, because your set is shaped by your guests.

For your company event in Koblenz, our cooperation works like this: you tell me the occasion, date and number of participants, then we discuss music, programme and room in a video call. A few days before the event we fix the schedule in the briefing. On the day I am in the hall before admission and check the sound in the empty room. I serve small groups with my own system; for very large guest numbers I bring in technology partners.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.

My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't fit your event, I'm not the right person, and that's perfectly fine. If it does fit, we'll discuss the details.
