Celebrating in Krefeld
A square farmstead, a banquet hall or a living room in Bockum: every room changes the sound, and I shape my proposal accordingly. Your birthday in Krefeld can take place in a forest lodge by the pond, in a banquet hall at the racecourse or in a listed factory. I briefly introduce five venues that list parties like yours.
For a birthday, Krefeld offers you a terrace by the pond, a hall with a dance floor or brick walls on a farmstead, and every setting gets its own set-up from me. Please tell me first where exactly you are celebrating, and I will plan everything else from there.
An apartment or a garden gets by with little: a compact set, with battery power if needed, is perfectly enough there. We clarify beforehand how much space is left and where the nearest outlet is, and after about 40 minutes my setup is ready.
Besides the Großer Saal, there is the Waldschänke with a terrace for 30 to 90 people and the Arkade overlooking the pond for 20 to 35. The operator explicitly mentions birthday parties. For a small group, you ask the venue about the right area, and then I settle on my spot.
The venue lists birthdays and anniversaries among its occasions and describes its banquet halls as Art Deco in style. The Oetker Saal holds 140 people for a banquet and 199 for a cocktail reception. For your celebration, we tune the set and the placement to the hall.
A barrier-free hall of about 200 square meters for up to 120 guests; birthdays are on the list of occasions. The venue offers a DJ service on request, so before booking you ask whether you may bring your own music.
The square farmstead in the Forstwald mentions private celebrations such as birthdays. There is a banquet hall with a dance floor and bar, a terrace facing the inner courtyard and room for up to 130 seated guests. From 30 guests upward, the room can be partitioned for smaller groups.
The cultural center, housed in a building from 1906, rents out the Großer Saal for parties and receptions, including to private individuals, according to the city's usage regulations. You clarify with the venue whether your date is free and how the equipment will be integrated.

Your birthday in Krefeld does not need someone else's playlist. I learned mixing in the club, and by now over 1450 events stand behind me, private and corporate. At your party, colleagues, the sports club and family may all sit at one table; for that mix I cut edits in which everyone finds something familiar.
You give me your requests and no-gos in advance, and then you celebrate along. How the evening grows from a calm arrival to a full dance floor, I explain to you beforehand with an example.
How it works
Tell me the date and place, and I reply the same day or the next. A video call follows, then the coordination with the venue, and then your evening.

With your booking you get my mobile number, because many things are settled fastest via WhatsApp. About a week beforehand, we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule.
I arrive before your guests, set up the equipment in about 40 minutes and do the sound check. Open questions we clear up with you or the venue, so that everything runs smoothly later.
On arrival, subtle lounge music plays so that your guests get into conversation. For you as the birthday guest and for special moments I choose the fitting track.
The programme gets its own music: it stays quiet during the meal, there is the microphone for speeches, and for games, surprises and cake I find suitable tracks.
As soon as people start dancing, I take over completely, read the mood and adapt the set to the guests until the last song has faded.

Setup takes a good 40 minutes, the system needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and I clear up myself after the party. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.
You can add lighting, photo station, live music and audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27A few photos of the hall and its dimensions are enough for me to judge whether the existing system is sufficient. If it is not, I set up my own speakers, and you know before you confirm.
I start with songs that are familiar across generations and then feel my way towards rock, disco or charts. You tell me your requests and your no-gos in advance, and I stick to them.
Together we pick titles for each group of pictures that match their mood, and I set up the way back into the party so that it hardly stands out. How long each picture stays up is up to you.
Around carnival, dates are scarce, so it is best to write to me as soon as the date is set. You will know from me the next day whether your preferred date is still available.
A live musician from my network, for example on sax, violin or vocals, can be booked through me. You decide when the musician performs, and I arrange the rest of the evening around it.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
