Wedding venues in Krefeld
A hall in the Stadtwald, a courtyard farm in Forstwald or an Art Deco banquet hall: every room sounds different, so I first ask about the room and the number of guests. Five addresses for your celebration: a forest house overlooking the pond, historic banquet halls at the racecourse, the former works kitchen of a steelworks, an accessible banquet hall and a courtyard farm in Forstwald. For each one, I plan the setup and schedule with you.
Krefeld offers you wedding venues from the terrace in the Stadtwald to the banquet hall with Art Deco touches and the brick farm in Forstwald. For each of these rooms I set up the speakers anew, because wood, brick and glass absorb or reflect sound very differently.
Once you know your venue, you collect favourite tracks, theme and no-gos in one place in the portal. My setup takes a good 40 minutes, after which I check in the empty room how far the sound carries.
The house in the Stadtwald has three areas: the Great Hall with its sun wing, the Waldschänke, an Art Nouveau building with a terrace for 30 to 90 people, and the arcade overlooking the pond for 20 to 35. The operator explicitly mentions weddings. Once you have chosen an area, we fix the space for speakers and dance floor.
Art Deco banqueting halls and extensive outdoor areas; the venue lists weddings with a ceremony outdoors among its occasions. The Oetker Hall seats 140 guests at a banquet, the Biebricher Hall 450. Once the rooms have won you over, we agree on power and where the equipment goes.
The building was once the big kitchen of the Thyssen steelworks and is now an event venue with a main hall, a stage and an entrance area with a café. Weddings are explicitly listed among the occasions. You ask the venue about guest numbers and equipment, then I choose speakers and lighting.
A hall of about 200 square metres, fully accessible and designed for up to 120 guests. Weddings are among the stated occasions. The venue itself arranges a DJ on request, so ask before booking whether you may bring your own music equipment.
The courtyard farm has old brick walls, a banquet hall, a terrace overlooking the inner courtyard, a dance floor and a bar. Seated, the farm lists up to 130 people, standing up to 200. Sound and lighting can be added through the farm; what I bring myself, we clarify beforehand.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
Who I am
A wedding in Krefeld often brings together a large and varied crowd: both families, colleagues from the city's companies, friends from the club and the neighbourhood. So that everyone finds their music again, I ask you for the songs that must not be missing on your evening and combine them in my own edits.
Anything that should not be played at all, you enter beforehand. We sort out the menu, speeches and schedule early, and if you like we go through the running order together in a video call.
How it works
Date and venue are enough to start, and I reply within a day. In the video call we discuss the music, and before the celebration I clear power and space with the venue.

With the booking, the wedding portal opens, a web app for favourite tracks, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week beforehand we go through the day step by step by phone.
On the wedding day I arrive at the venue early, set up in about 40 minutes, check the sound in the empty room and coordinate with the speaker, photographer and service staff.
For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, the pieces of your choice play. At the reception, calm lounge music plays, and if there is no power outside, the battery takes over.
During the meal the music steps back, a wireless microphone is ready for speeches, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose a dedicated track each time.
The dancing begins with your requested edit, then I watch the floor and keep adjusting the set until young and old celebrate the last track together.

I spread soul, disco, pop and current charts according to how your guests receive them, rather than ticking off a list.
Setup and soundcheck take a good 40 minutes, the system needs only 2.5 by 1.5 meters, and after the last track I pack everything away myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.

I cover an outdoor ceremony without mains power: the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit all run on battery.
A photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book can be added, and I take care of the coordination.

I quietly fade the music out inside and start outside with calm tracks so the thread isn't lost. We discuss beforehand when you go outside, and on the day I follow your lead.
High ceilings and wood carry sound, so I test the hall while it is empty and angle the speakers so that nothing booms. I choose levels and positions afterwards so that your speeches come across clearly.
Write to me as soon as the date and venue are fixed, because popular summer Saturdays go early. I reply within a day and tell you whether your date is still free.
Yes, I divide the evening into sections so the waltz gets its moment before I switch to your tracks. We agree the schedule beforehand, and on the day I mix the transitions myself.
Your list stays my foundation, and I take spontaneous requests on board when I can fit them into the moment. Songs that are off-limits for you, I note down beforehand and leave out consistently.
