I started in 1998, since 2004 I have been part of private celebrations, and after more than 1450 events I sense early which way the mood is tipping. Celebrations on the Rhine
Whether barn, vaulted cellar or hotel salon: first I want to know what your room looks like, because that determines how much equipment I set up and where I place it. Five venues are available for your birthday: an estate with a panoramic terrace, a park hotel at the rose garden, a sparkling wine cellar building, a vaulted house in the old town and a historic house in the city center.
In Mainz you can celebrate at an estate between vineyards, in a hotel park, under vaulted cellars or in a restaurant in the city centre. With a few friends a small system is enough, with the whole extended family I set up more; the address of your party is all I need from you.
If the celebration is at your place, in the living room or outdoors, I pack a small system that also works without a power outlet. We discuss space, power and setup time beforehand, so that on the day itself you are there for your guests.
For your celebration, the city of Mainz names the estate's barn as a space for weddings, birthdays and company parties and mentions a panoramic terrace with its own garden. According to the operator, the barn holds 10 to 380 people, and smaller groups fit in the Hüttenalm. Whether you begin indoors or outdoors determines my setup.
The park hotel describes its rooms as a setting for celebrations of every kind and names the Palmengarten, Rosengarten, Grüner Salon and Sonnensalon as well as the city park at the door. Which room suits you depends on the number of your guests, and after that I plan my equipment for you.
If you want to celebrate privately, at the Eulchen Brauerei, which runs the restaurant at the Kupferberg, you find a dedicated area called Private Feiern on the site. According to the city of Mainz, the house stands in a sparkling wine cellar building from the 19th century. Which room you have in mind, we discuss beforehand, and then I know how much equipment is needed.
At the Heiliggeist, formerly a hospital, you find according to the operator rooms for celebrations, conferences and events, and it combines a restaurant, a bar and a generous terrace under high vaults. A vault carries sound differently from a flat hall, so together we listen to how loud you want to celebrate.
The Mainz address directory lists the Proviant-Magazin as a historic building in the city center with a restaurant, a brasserie and an outdoor area. If you have chosen a venue with several areas, I work out with you where the music should play and where your guests can talk in peace.

Who I am
You invite people to Mainz, I bring the sound. My time at the decks began in 1998 in a club; since 2004 private and corporate parties have been added, by now it is more than 1,450 events. For me a good party follows no rigid plan; it needs someone who listens.
In my edits, classics and current hits flow into each other without a break, so that your older and younger guests both come onto the floor. Tell me beforehand what you like and what is out of the question, and your evening comes together without big staging, and you celebrate along, relaxed.
How it works
Send me the date and place of your party, and I will get back to you the same or the next day, followed by a video call, set-up and the party. I answer questions in between myself.
Request a dateAfter your enquiry it takes at most one day until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your quote.
With the booking you receive my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule together.
Before the guests arrive I set up; one to two hours are enough for me for the equipment and the sound check. I clarify last questions with you or the venue, so that everything runs calmly and unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music lets the guests find their way into conversation calmly as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

For your birthday I put together a set that belongs only to you, and develop it as the party goes on. Tracks from different decades also bring those onto the floor who only wanted to watch. A balcony, a garden or the living room is enough for me, as I carry my compact setup in myself. If a slideshow is playing or someone is giving a speech, I take the music down immediately.

Current hits play alongside classics from many decades at my sets, and I collect your requests in advance without stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
A good two hours before your guests arrive, my equipment is set up and sound-checked, and after the party I dismantle everything myself. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27Yes, even with fifteen people I can tell who feels like dancing and play accordingly. If the system at the venue is sufficient, I use it, otherwise I set up my own. For small groups I keep the volume so that you can still talk comfortably.
Of course, a wireless microphone is ready as soon as you want to give a speech or welcome someone. Your friends can also use it for a toast. How much I announce myself is up to you.
That works at any time: just tell me briefly at the booth, I note the title and play it as soon as it fits the flow. Your list is my foundation, but the evening also lives on the requests of your guests.
For a milestone birthday in a fixed venue, it is better to get in touch several months ahead, because Saturdays are in demand. For a smaller party, a few weeks are often enough. Tell me your date, and I will get back to you at the latest the next day with information about my calendar.
That can be arranged: a saxophonist from my network joins my set live, and you get the contact from me. I can also organise vocals, violin and percussion. When such a performance has the most impact for you, we discuss at the start.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
