Celebrating in Mülheim
An inn in Saarn, a party cellar in Dümpten or a garden on the edge of town: every setting changes the sound, and I shape my proposal accordingly. Your birthday in Mülheim could take place on the castle grounds on the banks of the Ruhr, in the town hall, in a theatre with a history or on a ship. I briefly introduce four venues you can ask.
Where you celebrate in Mülheim, whether in a garden in Saarn, in an inn in Speldorf or on the water, influences how I set up speakers and levels. Please tell me the location first, then we go into the details.
For a garden or an apartment I need hardly any space; a slim set, with a battery if necessary, carries the party there. We clarify in advance how much space you have and where the power is. Setup is done in a good 40 minutes, and I sort out the rest with you on site.
If you are celebrating privately, the Rittersaal, the Kamin- und Wappenzimmer and the Tecklenburger Kammern are possible rooms. How many guests fit in and whether birthday parties are allowed there is something only the venue can tell you. Afterwards I tune the set and levels to your group.
The hall includes a banquet hall, a Ruhr foyer with a terrace above the river, a chamber music hall and a conference lounge. Conferences, business events and school-leaver proms are mentioned, private birthdays are not. Ask the operator whether and in which room a party of your size is possible.
The building from 1904 houses an independent theatre with several stages. For rentals, write to the venue's email address, the ground-floor rooms are accessible without steps, and 200 parking spaces are right at the building. Whether birthdays are possible remains a question for the venue.
The shipping company advertises charter trips for birthdays, weddings and corporate events. You clarify ship, capacity and programme with the shipping office. Whether and how I may play music on board depends on the shipping company's rules, and I tailor my set to them.

Who I am
At your birthday in Mülheim, people often come together who otherwise hardly ever meet: school friends, colleagues from university, relatives from three cities. For all of them I cut edits where nobody feels the music belongs to someone else. I learned this in the nightclub, and since then more than 1450 events have come together.
You tell me your wishes and no-gos beforehand, and on the night you get to celebrate yourself. I will show you in advance, with an example, how the mood grows from quiet tones to a full dance floor.
How it works
Send me the date and place, and I will get back to you the same or the next day. A video call follows, then coordination with the venue, and then your evening.
Request a dateWrite to me and you will have my answer within a day. In a short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your offer.
After booking I send you my mobile number, because a lot gets settled fastest via WhatsApp. About a week before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
I arrive before your guests, set up in about 40 minutes and check the sound. I clear up any open points with you or the venue so that everything runs smoothly later.
When the first guests arrive, soft lounge music plays so that conversations get started. For you as the birthday guest of honour and for special moments I pick fitting tracks.
During the meal the music stays quiet, the microphone is ready for speeches, and I choose fitting pieces for games, surprises and cake.
As soon as people start dancing, I take over completely, watch the mood and shape the set together with the guests until the last song fades out.

Plan on a good 40 minutes for setup and about 2.5 by 1.5 meters of space for the equipment; after the party I pack up myself. About 2.5 m wide and 1.5 m deep is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.
Lighting, photo booth, live music and audio guest book can be added, and I handle the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27My setup needs just 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space in the shade and a power socket within reach. If there is none, I plan for a battery-powered set; simply describe the garden to me beforehand.
I start with tracks that many generations know and then move step by step toward your favourite music. You tell me beforehand which tracks you want and which you do not.
We look together at how the house and garden relate to each other, and I place the speakers so that both groups can hear the music without having to shout. If necessary, I set up between the two areas.
That can work, just send me the date and place right away. Then I will get back to you quickly and tell you whether the evening is still free with me.
Gladly, send it to me beforehand. I work in as much as possible and arrange the tracks so that the mood never drops.

Transparency
Nothing but schlager and Ballermann for hours on end? I'm happy to let the odd crowd-pleaser run when your guests ask for it, because they belong at a good birthday party. Building my whole evening on them isn't for me, though. Nor am I a fit for techno sets that ignore the crowd, for request lists worked through rigidly, or for festivals with several stages. I leave that to colleagues who are good at it and enjoy it; I have nothing against them, it's simply not my field.
I play live, for guests with a feel for the moment: the transitions are tight, the song suits the hour, and nothing just runs on autopilot. That is why I would rather tell you in advance what I don't offer than have you annoyed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your party, I'm the wrong DJ, and that's perfectly okay. If it does, just get in touch.
