Wedding venues in Mülheim
A hall overlooking the Ruhr, an industrial space with history or the deck of an excursion boat: the sound changes with the place, so I first ask you to describe the room and the guest count. Four addresses for your celebration between Schlossberg, the Stadthalle terrace and the Wasserbahnhof: a castle complex, a house above the river, a theater in a historic building and an excursion boat. What each venue allows, you will learn from them; I then plan the setup and the schedule with you.
If you marry in Mülheim, you might stand high above the Ruhr, in a building full of industrial history or on a deck. Which equipment I bring, I decide only after taking a look at your venue.
A hall with a terrace lets your music seep outside, a ship's deck swallows it, a large hall throws it back. That is why I listen into the room beforehand. In the wedding portal you enter what should be played and what should not. For setup I allow 40 minutes, and the sound check in the still empty hall is part of that.
The castle complex on the bank of the Ruhr was first mentioned in writing in 1093 and was renovated until January 2020. For private and business events, the Knights' Hall, the fireplace and coat-of-arms room and the Tecklenburg chambers are named. Whether your wedding celebration is possible there and what equipment the venue permits, please ask the venue itself.
The building from 1926 has a banquet hall of 800 square meters and a Ruhr foyer with a terrace above the river. The operator lists conferences, business events and school leavers' proms as occasions; whether weddings are possible too, you clarify with the organizer. Only after that do we talk about power and speakers.
The independent-scene theater is housed in a building from 1904 and has several stages. Rental inquiries go to the venue by email, and it also lists 200 illuminated parking spaces and accessible rooms on the ground floor. Which rooms suit a wedding is an open question and one to put to the venue.
The shipping company has been casting off from the Wasserbahnhof for almost 100 years and promotes charter trips for weddings, birthdays and corporate events. You can find out about ships, capacity and music on board at the shipping office; how I can help there with my equipment depends on its requirements.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
Who I am
At your wedding in Mülheim, guests from three or four cities often sit at the same table: colleagues from the plant, friends from university, grandparents and children. There should be something for everyone, so I ask you about the songs that matter to you and your families, and build transitions from them.
What you don't want to hear, you enter in advance; in the hall, none of it will turn up. We discuss the schedule, speeches and meal early on, and if you like, we go through the whole day once more by phone.
How it works

After booking, I unlock the wedding portal, a web app for favorite tracks, no-gos, special moments and the timeline. About a week before the celebration, we go through the day by phone.
On the wedding day I arrive at the venue early, set up in about 40 minutes, listen to the empty room and coordinate with the photographer, speakers and catering staff.
Your chosen pieces accompany the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit. Calm lounge music plays for the reception, and where there is no power outdoors, the battery takes over.
During the meal the music moves into the background, a wireless microphone is ready for speeches, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I pick a track of its own for each.
The dancing starts with your requested edit, after which I follow the dance floor and keep adjusting the set until young and old celebrate the last track together.

We discuss what you want to hear and what you don't at the start; I handle the contact with the venue and service providers myself.

I mix pop, soul, disco and current charts in the proportions your guests respond to; I don't work from a fixed list.
For setup and soundcheck I allow a good 40 minutes, the equipment needs 2.5 by 1.5 meters, and I take everything down on my own after the last track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.
Outdoor
For an outdoor ceremony, for example on the riverbank, a battery set is enough for me, and the nearest power outlet can be far away.
Photo booth, live music, uplights and audio guest book can be added, and I take care of the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27I start out restrained so you can greet every guest in peace, and I only build the music up once the hall is full. Anyone who joins you later steps into an evening that is already in full swing.
I listen to the empty room and position my speakers so the sound doesn't bounce back and forth. Speeches and announcements stay easy to understand, and you can still dance at full volume.
Whether you may use your own equipment on board is up to the shipping company. Once you have their requirements, I tailor my set to them and tell you honestly what works on board and what doesn't.
Saturdays in summer are taken quickly, so get in touch early with your date and venue. Whether your preferred date is still free, I will tell you at the latest the next day.
I only say what you ask for, such as the entrance, the cake cutting or the bouquet toss. For the rest of the evening the music does the talking, and your speakers get the microphone whenever you want.
Yes, I move between styles in small steps and look for tracks that connect two generations. You enter your favorite songs and the tracks you don't want to hear with me in advance.

It starts with your short message with the date, venue and number of guests. After that we talk in a video call about your taste in music, the schedule of the day and the moments that matter to you. Shortly before your wedding we speak once more on the phone and go through the day together.
