Obertor, city centreThe museum from 1975 incorporated the thirteenth-century Obertor into its new building. Whether a party is possible there, you ask the museum; I then tune my set to the space.

Hello, I'm Micha.
You are celebrating in Neuss, and I look for the music that suits your guests. My path began in the nightclub; private and corporate parties came later, until over 1450 events added up. A birthday does not need a rigid schedule when I keep the room in view.
From classics and new tracks I cut my own edits, so that friends from the club and relatives from Düsseldorf dance together. Tell me your wishes and no-gos beforehand, and you can enjoy the party yourself. If you like, I will explain beforehand how I build the evening in phases.

Booking & direct coordination
After booking I send you my mobile number, because most things can be sorted out fastest on WhatsApp. About a week before the party we talk about favourite songs, no-gos and the schedule.
Set-up & sound check
Before your guests arrive, I set up the equipment in about 40 minutes and check the sound. Anything still open I clear up with you or with the venue, so that nothing gets in the way later.
Arrival & Reception
For the arrival, calm lounge sounds play so that your guests start chatting. For you as the birthday guest of honour and for special moments, I choose just the right track each time.
Dinner & programme items
The programme gets its own music: quiet during the meal, a microphone for speeches and announcements, and fitting pieces for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
Dance floor & party
Once the dancing starts, I take over completely, watch the guests and keep adjusting the set until the last song of the evening has faded.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you
I set up in around 40 minutes, the system needs roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the party I pack up on my own. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Milestone birthdays get booked quickly on weekends, so it is best to enquire a few months ahead. A small party needs less lead time, and I reply to your message the same day.
Can we have a singer surprise the guests in the middle of the evening?
That can be arranged: I bring in a vocalist, a saxophone, a violin or percussion from my network. You decide when the performance happens, and we sort out the rest in our first conversation.

Who i'm not the right DJ for
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
