Wedding venues in Neuss

Weddings in Neuss.

First I ask whether you are celebrating in a museum building, a historic hall or a large hall, because that determines how I set up speakers and lighting. Five addresses show how differently you can celebrate in Neuss: in a former monastery building, in a Tadao Ando building on a former missile station, in the Stadthalle, in a museum at the Obertor and in an art park on the Erft.

From monastery to art park: a wedding in Neuss

Neuss offers rooms from very different centuries for your wedding day, from the Observant monastery to Tadao Ando’s concrete building. Once you have chosen one, I think about where the speakers should go and how the light should fall.

The sound is different between brick walls than between concrete, and my lighting follows the room. The equipment is ready about 40 minutes before the first guests, and then I listen to how the empty hall sounds.

Zeughaus

Freithof, near the Quirinus-Münster

The Zeughaus goes back to an Observant monastery begun in 1637 and was later a concert hall, a school and a theatre hall. It is run by Neuss Marketing; you ask there about rooms and dates, and then I plan the setup and power.

Langen Foundation

former missile station near Neuss

The building by Tadao Ando opened in September 2004 and lies half hidden behind green earth embankments. There is a separate company for events; you discuss with them what is possible before we talk about the sound.

Stadthalle Neuss

Selikumer Straße 25

The Stadthalle opened in 1961, and depending on use its hall holds up to 1103 people. Whether you can get it for a wedding is decided by the operator, Neuss Marketing; I tailor my sound system to the hall.

Clemens-Sels-Museum

Obertor, city centre

The new building by Harald Deilmann from 1975 encloses the 13th-century Obertor and reopened in 2015 after renovation. You ask the museum whether celebrations are allowed there, and we agree the music afterwards.

Museum Insel Hombroich

Holzheim, on the Erft

Between the orangery, pavilions and park meadows, art stands in parallel with nature; the buildings were designed by Erwin Heerich. Whether and when celebrations are conceivable there is something you clarify with the foundation; for outdoors, we talk early about weather and power.

I looked up the rooms, years of construction and operators on Wikipedia (as of October 2026). Whether a venue hosts weddings and whether your date is free, you will only find out from them.

Humanist ceremony in Neuss

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Guests often travel to a wedding in Neuss from Düsseldorf, the Lower Rhine and the wider Rhineland, and not everyone knows everyone. So that the evening works for everybody, I go through with you beforehand which songs you love and which must never be played.

I prepare the transitions between styles myself so that the dance floor does not empty. We discuss all of this on a video call, and shortly before the date we speak by phone once more. That way your evening is set before the first guest arrives.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Neuss.

Send me the date and venue, and you will get a reply within 24 hours. After that come the video call, coordination with the venue and the planning of the setup.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

You give me the date and venue, and I reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. The video call commits you to nothing: we get to know each other, collect ideas, and only then do you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking I unlock your wedding portal, a web app for your favourite songs, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week before the date I call you, and we go through the day together.

  3. Set-up & sound check

On the wedding day I arrive early enough, set up in about 40 minutes, listen to the empty room and take care of coordination with the speaker, photographer and catering staff.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, the pieces you have chosen are played. At the reception, subtle lounge music plays, and if there is no power socket outside, the battery takes over.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During the meal the music stays quiet. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose the right track each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

Your wish edit opens the dance floor, then I watch the guests and keep adjusting the set until young and old celebrate the last track together.

Everything behind
the mix

At a wedding, three generations often dance together, which is why classics stand next to current chart hits. From the first conversation to the last song, the music stays in one hand.

We clarify requests and no-gos at the start, and I handle the contact with the venue and the suppliers myself.

Music genres

I blend pop, soul, disco and current chart hits the way your guests are taking to them at that moment, and not in a fixed order.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup and soundcheck take a good 40 minutes, the system needs only 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the last song I pack everything away on my own. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, the music runs on a battery system, so no power socket needs to be nearby.

Optional: extras

A photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book can be added, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Neuss want to know.

Here is what couples usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
We would like to marry at the end of August, when Neuss holds its Schützenfest: does that weekend matter for you?

The festival fills the town, and I take that into account when planning. Tell me your date early and I will quickly let you know whether I am free, and we will sort out the schedule and setup in advance.

Our hall in Neuss has concrete walls and a high ceiling: will the music not sound harsh there?

Concrete and plaster throw sound back hard, and I hear that immediately in the empty hall. That is why I position the speakers carefully and keep the volume low while people are eating; that way the speeches stay easy to understand too.

Many of our guests have to get back to Düsseldorf in the evening: when should we schedule the opening dance?

I advise you to place the highlights in the early evening, while everyone is still at the table. We will enter the time of your opening dance into your schedule together.

My brother plays the trumpet and would like to contribute a piece for us: is that possible?

Yes, I will set up a connection and a soundcheck for him. You decide where in the programme the piece goes, and I turn the music down for it and back up afterwards.

How can we be sure that you will really play our favourite songs?

You enter your wishes and no-gos in your wedding portal, which I unlock for you after booking. There I see them before the celebration and plan my set accordingly.

Is one evening on a video call enough to discuss everything?

Mostly, yes, because I go through your day with you step by step. If you like, we will clear up any open points once more by phone a week beforehand.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or ceremony, I can arrange a saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin. When the performance fits best, we clarify long before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone sounds warm and soft on a terrace in the early evening, especially when conversations grow quieter.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion brings energy to the hall after dessert, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Live vocals add sparkle to the celebration, and at the party the microphone may also wander out to the guests.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance and turns the shared meal into a festive opening that your guests will not forget.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
