Your guests come from the warehouse, office, workshop and management, and the running order of the evening determines how I build your music. I learned my craft in a nightclub, and today more than 1450 events lie behind me, private and corporate. When the speeches happen and when the partying starts, we discuss in the preliminary talk.
I edit the transitions between programme items myself so that no item ends abruptly. I bring the sound system and wireless microphones, and setup and soundcheck are finished before your guests arrive. If your venue has a technician, I coordinate power and cabling directly with them.

At company parties with up to about 500 guests, I base the music on your business and still keep the floor full. I recognise in the room who joins in on which track and steer the mix accordingly, instead of running through a programme. For years I have mediated between company culture and party mood, for Microsoft and Amazon among others. After the buffet I leave room for the speech so that it does not slow the momentum. My standard system covers up to 150 guests; for larger parties I bring in reliable technical partners.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you
Setup takes about 40 minutes and needs roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I pack everything away again. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

My programme is built so that it also works when your people arrive one after another. When which shift arrives and where the high point of the evening should be, we discuss beforehand.
Our managing director gives a speech before the meal: how do you combine speech and music?
When someone speaks, I fade the music down and bring it back gently afterwards. I only open the microphone on your signal, so that there is no break.
We are celebrating in a warehouse with a lot of echo: is your equipment up to it?
For parties of about 150 guests and more, I plan additional equipment; below that, what I bring myself is enough. In larger halls I bring in a partner in good time, so that your guests can hear everything at the back too.
Should you use the venue's existing system, or do you set up your own?
I first check the data sheet and photos of the venue's system. If it is usable, I connect my desk to it; otherwise I arrive with my own speakers, and you will know which after our first conversation.
Our summer party is planned for July: how early do we need to enquire?
Allow four to eight weeks, and more for a large event or in peak season. You will have a reply from me by the next day at the latest.
Can a singer or a violinist be arranged for the company anniversary?
I am happy to arrange vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion. The performance works best between the speech and the dancing, and we set the exact slot in the briefing.

Who i'm not the right DJ for
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't fit your event, I'm not the right person, and that's perfectly fine. If it does fit, we'll discuss the details.
