Celebrating in Osnabrück
I ask you about the room, number of guests and mood, because a historic hall calls for a different set than a ballroom or a hotel garden. You can celebrate your birthday in five venues: in the hall at the Schlosswall, in the ballroom at the Pottgraben, in the historic hall at the Piesberg, in the hotel by the city wall or in the half-timbered inn in the old town.
Your birthday in Osnabrück can take place in the historic hall at the Piesberg, in the ballroom or in a hotel garden by the city wall. The amount of equipment depends on how big your room is and how many guests are coming.
Your guests may listen to quite different things: university friends, colleagues and relatives, hip-hop next to oldies, the nineties next to current charts. If some would rather sit at the edge, I shape the music so that both groups find their place.
The OsnabrückHalle hosts social events and parties and gives the Europa-Saal as 1,089 square metres. For a large group, we'll work out whether your evening needs the whole hall or a smaller room in the building.
The Alando Palais explicitly lists birthdays as an occasion and offers eight areas for private events, including a Penthouse Club with its own lighting and sound equipment. If the venue already has equipment, we'll discuss what I add so that nothing clashes.
The Piesberger Gesellschaftshaus lists birthdays and anniversaries as private celebrations; its hall from 1896 holds 70 to 150 people depending on the seating, and there are two small cafés as well. For a party with cake in the café and dancing in the hall, we plan the move between rooms from the start.
The Hotel Remarque lists birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations as occasions and sits beside the old city wall with a terrace and garden. If you celebrate both outside and inside, we plan power and weather protection for the equipment early on.
The Walhalla, by its own account Osnabrück's oldest surviving inn, develops an individual concept with its guests for private and business celebrations. In a half-timbered house a slim set is often enough, one that supports conversation instead of drowning it out.

Who I am
Your evening in Osnabrück should sound the way you imagine it, and I work on that with you. It began for me in the nightclub, then came weddings, company evenings and birthdays, until more than 1450 events had added up. A birthday does not need a rigid timetable from me, but an open ear and a bit of intuition.
With my own edits I combine classics and new hits so that fellow students, neighbours and aunts dance together. Tell me beforehand what matters to you and what must not be played, and you can celebrate carefree yourself.

Send me the date and location, and you'll hear from me tomorrow or even today; a video call and arrangements follow until the first track plays.

After booking you receive my mobile number. You can reach me quickly via WhatsApp, and about a week before the party we sort out requested songs, no-gos and the running order.
Before your guests arrive, I set up the equipment, do a soundcheck and look at the room. Open questions I clear up with you or the venue, so that the evening starts calmly.
For arrivals there's subtle lounge music that gets conversations going. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I pick music that fits.
Every item on the evening's programme gets the right sound from me: music for the meal, a microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cutting of the cake.
As soon as the dance floor is open, I take the helm. I read the mood, change the set on the spur of the moment and keep young and old moving until the last song fades out.

Current hits and classics from several decades play side by side in my sets, I collect your requests beforehand, and when in doubt the dance floor will show you the way.
I arrive in good time before your guests, check the equipment in the room and take everything down myself after the party. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup area, no stairs or lifts) the setup takes around 40 minutes.
You decide which extras to add: lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I coordinate the rest.

+49 176 700 580 27I start with songs both camps know and watch who dares first. After that I stretch the set in the directions you told me about beforehand.
I only need about 2.5 by 1.5 metres of floor space and a power connection. In tight rooms I use compact speakers so you can keep chatting with your guests.
Tell me beforehand when it should start and which song goes with it. Then I'll work the moment into your set without you having to give anything away.
For round birthdays I like to plan several months of lead time; for a small circle a few weeks are often enough. Tell me the date, and by the next day at the latest you will know whether I am free that evening.
Both get their own block, and I let the blocks flow into one another so that you and your friends each find something to dance to. What I start with, we discuss beforehand.
No, I'll announce such items myself if you like and turn the music down to suit. You just let me know who is going to speak.

Before we go into detail, you tell me the date, the room and roughly how many guests are coming. Then we talk about your favourite music, and whatever your group calls out during the evening, I pick up.

Transparency
Hours of nothing but Ballermann and schlager? A few hits of that kind can work well at a birthday party when the mood is right, which is why they have their place with me too. Building a whole evening on them is not my line, though. I'm also not your DJ for techno with no connection to the crowd, for a list ticked off title by title, or for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who are really good at that and love it; nothing against them, it's simply not my territory.
What I do is live mixing for guests who want an evening with feeling: clean transitions, the right title at the right moment, more than letting a playlist run. That is why I tell you openly beforehand what doesn't suit me, so that you aren't disappointed on the night.
