Company parties in Chemnitz
Kulturhaus, hotel ballroom or baroque palace: each of these rooms calls for different equipment, so I first ask about programme, room and number of guests. I show you six venues for your company evening: a Kulturhaus on Kaßberg, a Stadthalle, a hotel on Theaterplatz, two palace complexes and a hotel in Rabenstein.
Companies from Chemnitz celebrate in the Kulturhaus on Kaßberg, in a hotel on Theaterplatz or in a palace complex in the surrounding area, and the venues differ greatly. Only once I know what is being celebrated, how the evening will run and how many people are coming do I decide on the sound system for the room.
A vaulted room carries sound differently from a hall with a high ceiling, and I set up accordingly. We arrange dinner, speeches and dancing in time beforehand; I handle setup and teardown myself.
By its own account, the Kulturhaus on Kaßberg rents out rooms for groups of different sizes; the hall has a stage as well as lighting and sound equipment and, according to its website, is suitable for company parties. We separate speeches and dancing in the programme beforehand so that the changeover works without downtime.
The Stadthalle opened in 1974, its facade is clad in Rochlitz porphyry, and it is run by C3 Chemnitzer Veranstaltungszentren. Whether and in which room your party is possible, you clarify with the operator; afterwards we align equipment and schedule with each other.
The hotel, built from 1929 to 1930 to plans by Heinrich Straumer with Bauhaus elements, offers event rooms and the OPERA Restaurant & Lounge. For an evening in a hotel ballroom, I plan the sound and timetable so that dinner, speeches and dancing mesh cleanly.
The hotel explicitly lists corporate events among its occasions, alongside weddings and private events. Which rooms come into question for your number of guests, you learn from the hotel; afterwards we clarify setup and programme.
The baroque palace with its park offers packages for corporate events and has a palace chapel with a Donati organ. If your evening begins with an outdoor reception, we agree beforehand where the sound system can stand and how it moves in case of rain.
According to Wikipedia, the Renaissance palace on the southern edge of the city is used for conferences and concerts, among other things, and business meetings take place in the adjoining palace hotel. None of the sources explicitly mentions company parties, so please ask the venue first; if the party is possible, we plan equipment and schedule together.

Who I am
Your programme sets the frame for your evening in Chemnitz: welcome, contributions, dinner and then dancing. In a conversation beforehand, by phone or video, we settle when there will be speaking and when celebrating. My own edits link the parts of your programme so that your guests notice no transition.
Whether it is a staff party, an anniversary or a client evening, I tune the sound to your company. On the day of the event I set up the equipment and wireless microphones, dial in the sound and check the room before doors open.

01At company parties of up to about 500 guests, I tune the music to your venue and still keep the dance floor full. Which generation reacts to which track, I see in the room and steer the mix accordingly instead of working through a list. Mediating between corporate image and party mood has been part of my everyday work for years, including for large corporations. I reserve time for the shift from dinner to party so that a rambling speech does not slow the evening down. For up to 150 guests my own equipment is entirely sufficient; for larger events I bring in reliable technical partners.

It begins with your music wish list; I agree the details with the venue and service providers myself, so you do not have to follow up. Anything that does not suit your occasion, I keep out of the programme by arrangement.
Open Format
Seventies soul, nineties pop, current chart hits: we agree on the programme in advance, and I blend the styles into one evening.
Setup takes about 40 minutes, but I am ready long before doors open, set up the system and pack it away myself after the final track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

I treat a gala or an anniversary by the same standard as any company celebration: with care, from the reception to the farewell.
If you need live musicians, a photo station or uplights, I take care of them personally as part of the same planning.

+49 176 700 580 27To start, I choose well-known tracks for every generation and make a note of what gets your teams moving. As the evening goes on, I steer the programme by what I see in the room. Please collect special requests from individual departments beforehand, and I will take them into account.
Tell me the names and the time, and a short track plays for each walk to the stage. During the tribute I pull the music back, and afterwards I come back in seamlessly.
I need a space for the decks, access for setting up and a power source. I bring the sound system, microphones and lighting myself. Please let me know early where a covered spot is available in case of rain.
An enquiry four to eight weeks before the date is usually enough; if a large event or the peak season before the holidays is coming up, get in touch earlier. I usually answer your enquiry the same day, and then we discuss the schedule and equipment.
I begin with tracks that exclude no one and watch how customers and colleagues react. During dinner the music stays in the background so that you can talk with your guests. Please tell me beforehand about any tracks you would rather not hear.
During the presentations, quiet music plays in the background, and after dinner I raise the tempo track by track. As soon as the last contribution is over, I play a track that gets your guests out of their chairs. We decide the dance floor position together beforehand, so you do not have to rearrange anything.

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

I also look after company celebrations in Flöha, Mittweida or Limbach-Oberfrohna; you will find the towns in the surrounding area in the list below.
First, you tell me the occasion, date and number of guests; music, programme and venue questions follow in a video call. A few days before the event, I go over the schedule with you once more. On the day of the event, I am in the hall before doors open and check the sound. For large events my system may not be enough, in which case I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
