My name is Michael Zimmermann, and as an event DJ I make sure your company party in Düsseldorf has music that carries it, from the standing reception to the final track. Company parties in Düsseldorf

Company parties in Düsseldorf.

Congress centre, industrial hall or concert hall: in a city of trade fairs, agencies and corporate headquarters, the venues differ greatly, so I ask first about the programme and the room. Six addresses from the congress centre to the steel hall show how different your company evening can look: as a gala in a concert hall, as a party in industrial architecture or as an evening at the variety theatre.

Congress centre or steel hall: corporate event in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf offers you very different stages for the evening: a congress centre at the trade fair grounds, a former steel hall, a concert hall or a variety theatre. I derive the size of the sound system from the room and the number of guests, so we ask you for both at the start.

An industrial hall calls for different considerations than a ballroom in a palace: in the hall I ask where guests arrive and dance, in the palace how much space the equipment may take up. We put in writing which programme items follow when, and I carry the equipment in myself and out again after the party.

Congress Center Düsseldorf

Messe Düsseldorf

The CCD has 41 modular room units and space for up to 7,500 people, and with Halls 1 and 3 even up to 22,500. Corporate events and catering are listed, from gala dinner to party. In a venue of this size we clarify early which room suits your number of guests and who provides the sound system.

Areal Böhler

Düsseldorf

On 230,000 square metres of listed industrial architecture from a former steel works, there are 18,000 square metres of indoor and 10,000 square metres of outdoor event space. In a hall of this kind I plan speakers and routes together with you.

Tonhalle

Düsseldorf

The Tonhalle hires out the Kuppelsaal, the Mendelssohn-Saal and the Grünes Gewölbe and lists corporate events among its offers. In a concert hall we discuss beforehand where equipment may stand and how loud an evening may get there.

PSD Bank Dome

Düsseldorf

The arena opened on 2 September 2006 and holds 14,505 visitors for concerts; there is a business club and VIP boxes, and the operator's site lists corporate events. For events of this size we agree early what my system covers and what a technical partner takes on.

Schloss Benrath

Orangerie, Düsseldorf-Benrath

In the east wing the foundation hires out the Roland-Weber-Festsaal for around 80 people, and in the orangery the Großer Festsaal for 90 people with dinner seating; staff parties are among the listed occasions. We clarify beforehand where speakers and cables may go in a historic building.

Roncalli's Apollo Varieté

Düsseldorf

The variety theatre offers Show & Dine with a restaurant and artistes' platter and lists Christmas parties and group events. For an evening with a show programme, we decide when my music comes in.

Rooms, occasions and size details come from the venues' own pages (as of October 2026). Whether a date is free, you can only learn from the venue itself.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

A company party like yours in Düsseldorf usually follows a programme of reception, speech, dinner and music, and I build my sets around that. I learned the craft in a discotheque; by now it is more than 1450 events, private as well as corporate. Before it starts, we agree with you at which points the speeches take place and from when people dance.

I cut my transitions between tracks myself, so no item on your programme breaks off abruptly. I supply technology and wireless microphones completely, including set-up and sound check. If the venue has in-house technicians, I coordinate with their team so that no question remains open on the day.

Everything behind
the mix

At company parties several generations dance together, which is why soul sits next to current charts in my sets. Once you hire me, I plan the music step by step through to the last track.

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

The set is created live from the mood in the room, and I use the microphone only for speeches and programme items.

An evening that is planned beforehand

It starts with your music wish list. I handle the coordination with the venue and suppliers myself, and tracks that do not suit the occasion are consistently left out at your request.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From 1970s soul to current charts, we agree your programme in advance, and I weave the styles into a whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

My setup takes about 40 minutes and needs roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the last track I take everything away again. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) the setup takes about 40 minutes.

Gala ballroom with stage, set tables and DJ booth (AI-generated) Premium

Gala & Awards

I treat a gala or a company anniversary with the same commitment as any other celebration, from the first guest to the farewell.

Optional: extras

If you would like live music, a photo station or uplights, I plan that into the same discussion.

Good questions

What organisers in Düsseldorf want to know.

These are the questions organisers ask me most often, and if yours is missing, simply pick up the phone.

Our party takes place in a large hall after the trade fair in Düsseldorf: is your system enough for the space?

For around 150 guests my standard system is enough. For a considerably larger guest list I bring in a technology partner in good time, so the sound is no bottleneck for you.

The house has permanently installed speakers: do we have to use them, or may you set up your own system?

Send me the data sheet and photos of the house equipment, and I will see whether it suits your evening. If it does, I connect to it; if not, I bring my own speakers. That is settled after our first exchange.

Our management is giving a longer speech: where do you place the music?

Idle time before the speech, after the meal or right after the guests arrive, I fill with music. I only go to the microphone at your request. After the speech I come back in softly and get gradually louder until the guests are celebrating of their own accord.

We start with a standing reception in the foyer and move into the hall later: how do you accompany that change?

While your guests start chatting in the foyer, the music plays only as a background carpet of sound. In the hall, tempo and volume then rise in small steps until the dance floor is full. When the switch happens, we decide together with you and the venue management.

How early do we need to let you know about the Christmas party?

As a rule of thumb I suggest four to eight weeks. If the programme grows into a large event or the day falls in the middle of the busy season, write to me earlier. I get back to you the next day at the latest, and you settle the invoice within 7 days after the event.

Can we book a live musician for the reception?

Gladly, for the reception I bring saxophone, violin, vocals or percussion from my network as you wish, live over my set. A live performance works best at the start of the evening. We clarify its place in the programme together beforehand.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

If you would like vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion at your celebration, I can arrange musicians from my network. We agree in advance at which point of the evening a performance fits best.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

At the reception in the foyer or courtyard, a saxophone sounds relaxed and stylish, especially as the evening moves into the night.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

In a large hall with plenty of space, percussion gives the mix drive without a whole band and its equipment having to arrive.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

If you want to combine a conference atmosphere with party spirit, bring in a voice that sings hits live and gets your staff singing along.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

At a gala, a violin lends the reception dignity, because its sound creates a festive mood the moment guests arrive.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.

My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't fit your event, I'm not the right person, and that's perfectly fine. If it does fit, we'll discuss the details.
