Wedding venues in Düsseldorf

Weddings in Düsseldorf.

First I want to know whether you are celebrating in a palace with an orangery, in the museum quarter on the Rhine or in a house in the Old Town, because the same song sounds different in each. I will show you five addresses: a palace with an orangery in the south, a museum at the Ehrenhof, an artists' association in Pempelfort, a concert hall and a former steelworks site. For each one, I develop a separate schedule with you.

From orangery to concert hall: a wedding in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf offers you a palace with an orangery in the south, a museum at the Ehrenhof and an artists' association with a hall and cellar. How a room sounds depends on the ceiling, the walls and the number of guests, and only once I know your choice do I decide on speakers and placement.

A vaulted cellar absorbs differently from a theatre hall, and I align the lighting accordingly too. You send me your guiding idea for the evening and the songs you do not want to hear as a message beforehand. I need about 40 minutes for setup and then listen into the empty room.

Schloss Benrath

Orangerie, Düsseldorf-Benrath

In the Orangerie, the foundation rents out the Great Banqueting Hall for 90 people with dinner seating and the vaulted cellar for around 60. The palace was built from 1755 to 1771, and weddings are among the occasions listed. Because every room has a different echo, I only plan speakers and dance floor once you have decided.

Museum Kunstpalast

Ehrenhof 4-5, Düsseldorf

For wedding parties, the museum offers a reception in the Anna Maria restaurant, private tours and culinary arrangements. Whether music may play at the reception and where the evening moves afterwards, you clarify with the venue, and then I adapt my setup.

Künstlerverein Malkasten

Jacobistraße 6a, Düsseldorf-Pempelfort

The association has existed since 1848 and lists the Jacobihaus, the theatre hall and the artists' cellar for hire. Which of the three rooms suits your number of guests and how the equipment gets in, you ask there, and I will adapt accordingly.

Tonhalle

Düsseldorf

The Tonhalle rents out the Kuppelsaal, the Mendelssohn-Saal and the Grünes Gewölbe. A concert hall requires a different setup and volume from a banqueting hall, so we discuss early on where the dance floor will be.

Areal Böhler

Düsseldorf

The site consists of 230,000 square metres of listed industrial architecture from a former steel works, including 18,000 square metres of indoor event space. If you celebrate among listed industrial buildings, we first think about where people will dance and how the room sounds.

Rooms, venues and occasions are taken from the venues' own pages (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit in can only be confirmed by the respective venue.

Civil ceremony in Düsseldorf

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

At a wedding table in Düsseldorf you often find guests whose evenings otherwise run between fashion shops, trade fair halls and old-town pubs, next to others who join you from entirely different worlds. I want both to end up on the floor together. From tracks across several decades I cut my own edits so that one song flows into the next and nothing breaks.

In advance you tell me what matters to you and what must not be played; your guests notice none of this. How long the evening lasts and when dinner is served, we can already discuss in a video call, if you like.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Düsseldorf.

Send me the date and the venue, and you will get a reply within 24 hours. Then follow a video call, arrangements with the venue and the setup before the celebration.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

You tell me the date and the venue, and I get back to you the same day, at the latest within 24 hours. The video call commits you to nothing: we get to know each other, collect ideas, and afterwards you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With the booking, the wedding portal opens, a web app for favourite songs, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week beforehand we talk on the phone and go through the programme point by point.

  3. Set-up & sound check

On the wedding day I arrive in good time, set up in around 40 minutes, check the sound in the empty room and coordinate with the speaker, photographer and catering staff.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, exchange of rings and exit, the pieces you have chosen are played. At the reception, subtle lounge music plays, and if there is no power socket outside, the battery steps in.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During the meal the music stays quiet. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose the fitting song each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

Your chosen edit opens the dancing, then I watch the floor and keep adjusting the set until young and old celebrate the final song together.

At your weddings three generations often dance, so soul classics stand alongside current chart hits. From the first conversation to the last song, the music stays in one pair of hands.

We discuss requested songs and no-gos first, and I take care of the connection to the venue and vendors.

Music genres

I mix disco, soul, pop and current chart hits the way they land with your guests on the night, and not from a fixed list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup and soundcheck take a good 40 minutes, the system needs only 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the last track I pack everything away myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, the music runs on battery, so no cable to a power socket is needed.

Optional: extras

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Düsseldorf want to know.

Here is what couples usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
We want to celebrate in Düsseldorf in an orangery or a vaulted cellar: how do you deal with echo and low ceilings?

I have the room described to me beforehand, and during setup I aim the speakers so that the sound does not bounce back off stone and ceiling. With a lot of reverb, a lower volume with targeted aiming is usually enough for me.

Some of our guests come from the Rhineland, others from abroad: how do you build the music?

At the start I play songs that people know on several continents; from there I feel my way towards the directions your guests respond to. What you want and what is off limits, you note in advance in the portal, and I build the transitions myself.

We would like to say our vows in the garden: do you bring the music for the entrance and the exit?

Yes. For garden ceremonies I have a battery-powered set that needs no mains connection, and you only give me your pieces for the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit.

We have a tight window between the photo session and dinner: how do you plan for that?

I time the music so the switch from photos to dinner stays unobtrusive, and I adjust the breaks to the photographer. We go through the schedule together beforehand, so that nobody has to rush on your day.

Is a DJ worth it even for a group of thirty or forty people?

That is exactly when it can be worth it, because for a small group I choose a smaller set and place it discreetly at the side. A table next to the buffet is enough space for me.

Our date is in May: are we already late with our enquiry?

Saturdays in early summer are booked early, so better get in touch soon. In quieter months, half a year was often enough for me. Write me your date, and you will know the same day whether it is free.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin. We will discuss when it works best well before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone sounds warm and light on the terrace in the early evening, especially at dusk.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion adds drive to the beat, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Live vocals give your celebration the glamour of a concert, and once the party starts, the microphone can be passed on to the guests.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance and turns dinner into a festive opening that your guests will remember for a long time.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

Party classics like Ballermann, après-ski and schlager hits?
I'm happy to play the odd one of those when the mood is right.
Building the whole evening on them, though, isn't for me.

There are other DJs who love doing exactly that, and do it well.
They are the right choice for it.
    I have nothing against them.
    It's just not my thing.

My field is live mixing at demanding events.
For guests who see music as a craft.
    Clean transitions.
The right track for the right moment.
    More than just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you, I'm not the right DJ, and that's perfectly fine.
If it does, I'm looking forward to meeting you.
