Company parties in Duisburg

Company parties in Duisburg.

Machine hall, concert hall or inn in the countryside: every room in Duisburg needs different sound reinforcement, so I first ask about the programme and the number of guests. Five venues, from the industrial heritage in the Landschaftspark and the concert hall in the city centre to the restaurant on the harbour basin, show how different your company evening can be: a gala in the hall, a reception in the foyer or a summer party in the open air.

Machine hall or concert hall: corporate event in Duisburg

For your event in Duisburg, halls in the Landschaftspark, a concert house in the city centre, a restaurant by the harbour basin or a brewery in the countryside come into question. The sound needed depends on room size and number of guests, which is what I ask about first.

An industrial hall requires me to pay attention to the reverberation, a concert hall to the routes your guests take between reception and dance floor. We set the order of the programme items in the briefing, while transport and assembly of my equipment are entirely my responsibility.

Kraftzentrale im Landschaftspark

Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

The former power station of the steelworks is 170 metres long, 34 metres wide and around 6,000 square metres in size; the operator states up to 3,000 guests with gala seating. Two curtains divide the hall into three areas. For rooms of this scale, we clarify early whether my system is sufficient or a technology partner joins.

Gebläsehallenkomplex in the Landschaftspark

Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

Five combinable rooms, where machines from the site's working days have been left standing, offer space for 100 to 600 guests according to the operator. The park lists company parties, galas, product presentations and award ceremonies. Technology and catering are tied to the park's partners, so please check with the venue beforehand whether my sound system can be used.

Mercatorhalle

City centre, Duisburg

The Philharmonie, the Rudolf-Schock-Saal, six conference rooms and the Gerhard Mercator Lounge make up the Mercatorhalle, a venue with step-free access in the heart of the city. Concerts, galas, congresses and conferences are listed. Where music and dancing are possible in the building, we will clarify with the organiser.

Küppersmühle Restaurant

Innenhafen, Duisburg

The venue at the Innenhafen lists conferences for up to 75 seated guests and private functions with up to 200 guests across the whole restaurant. The rooms on the first floor have a balcony overlooking the water. For a reception at the harbour, we adapt the music and the layout to the size of the room.

Brauhaus Mattlerhof

Revierpark Mattlerbusch, Duisburg

The brewery restaurant in northern Duisburg lists company parties and has its own page for Christmas parties; seven rooms hold up to 130 people in total, and there is an outdoor area and free parking. For an open-air summer party, we talk about power, shelter and routes for the equipment.

Rooms, occasions and size details come from the operators' websites (as of October 2026). Please discuss free dates directly with the respective venue.

Who I am

Michael Zimmermann – beats per micha.

Whether summer party, anniversary or Christmas party: when your guests in Duisburg dine, are honoured and dance determines how I structure the music. I learned the craft in the nightclub, and today over 1450 events stand behind it, private and corporate. In the preliminary conversation, I note with you when speeches are planned and when the music may get louder.

When shifts end at different times, I plan the evening so that late arrivals still find a good atmosphere. I bring my own system including wireless microphones myself; setup and soundcheck are part of the job. If the venue has its own technical staff, I coordinate directly with that team.

You will have my reply within 24 hours at the latest, and I handle the planning myself, with no waiting queue.

An evening that is planned beforehand

It starts with your music wish list; I coordinate venue and service providers myself, and tracks that don't suit the occasion I remove on your say-so.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

From the soul of the seventies to today's charts, we agree your programme in advance, and I join the styles into a whole.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup takes around 40 minutes and needs about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I clear everything away again. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Gala & Awards

I also shape galas and company anniversaries with the same standard as any other celebration, from the first guest at the door to the farewell.

Optional: extras

Live music, photo station or uplights I plan in on request within the same coordination.

Good questions

What organisers in Duisburg want to know.

These are the questions organisers ask me most often, and if yours is missing, simply pick up the phone.

Our party takes place in a former industrial hall in Duisburg: what does that mean for your equipment?

I look at photos and dimensions of the hall and check the sound in the empty room before I place my speakers. This keeps your speeches intelligible. How much power is available on site, I'll clarify with you.

Several shifts work at our company and not everyone arrives at the same time: how do you structure the evening?

I begin with tracks that support conversation and raise the energy as the hall fills up. Those who arrive later get an atmosphere that is already running instead of a cold start.

At the anniversary, our management speaks in two languages: how do you plan the pauses?

I agree with you when each speech begins and lower the music on your cue. After the last speech I gently bring the level back up, so that your evening carries on without a break.

We expect several hundred guests on two levels: is your system enough for that?

Only from more than 150 guests do I need reinforcement; below that my standard system manages alone. With two levels or a larger audience, I work with a technical partner whom I'll introduce to you early on.

We are planning a summer party: from when does it make sense to enquire with you?

Four to eight weeks is usually enough for me; for a large event or in peak season, please get in touch earlier. You'll receive my reply as early as the next day.

Can our colleagues suggest songs in advance?

Gladly, you collect the suggestions internally and send me a list. I'll include what fits in the planning, and anything you don't want stays out.

What sets me apart

DJ+ – my extra for special evenings.

If you would like vocals, violin, saxophone or percussion, I can arrange musicians from my network. We will discuss in advance which part of the evening suits a performance best.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Main-time peak · gala champagne reception

DJ + saxophone

At a standing reception, a saxophone gives the foyer a warm sound that carries the evening into the night.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Summer party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

In a wide hall, percussion adds drive to the mix without you having to fit in a full band and its equipment.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Live-band feeling · party time & special moments

DJ + vocals

A voice singing well-known hits live combines party mood with a stage moment and gets your staff singing along.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Galas & awards · music from the first note

DJ + violin

At a gala, a violin gives the reception dignity, because it creates a festive feeling right from the welcome.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.

My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.

If that doesn't fit your event, I'm not the right person, and that's perfectly fine. If it does fit, we'll discuss the details.
