Wedding venues in Duisburg
On the harbour basin, in an inn in the countryside or in a machine hall: each of these rooms sounds different, so I first ask about the room and the number of guests. Four venues for your celebration between the Innenhafen, the Revierpark and industrial heritage: a restaurant above the water, a brewery pub with a wedding pavilion and two spots in the Landschaftspark. For each I plan the set-up and schedule with you.
In Duisburg you can marry above the water of the Innenhafen, in an inn at the Revierpark or among the machines of a former ironworks. Each of these settings calls for a different speaker arrangement, so I only decide on my equipment once I know your venue.
A tall hall takes in bass differently than a pavilion in the countryside, and both differently than a ballroom with stucco, which is why I test every room before your celebration. In the portal you enter your motto, your song requests and everything that should not be played. The setup takes about 40 minutes; once it is done, I walk through the empty room once more to listen.
The event rooms are on the first floor and have a large balcony overlooking the water. For weddings, the venue states up to 98 seated guests, and up to 130 with standing guests. Once you have chosen the room and date, we plan the speakers and the space for dancing.
The venue in north Duisburg has seven banquet halls and rooms for up to 130 people in total, plus an outdoor wedding pavilion. Every room has access to the outdoor area. You settle with the venue which room suits your party, and afterwards we coordinate power and set-up.
Five combinable rooms, in which machines from the plant's working years have been left standing, hold 100 to 600 guests according to the operator. Company parties, galas and parties are mentioned; whether weddings are possible and whether your own DJ equipment may be brought in, you should ask the venue, because technology and catering are tied to the park's partners.
The Piazza Metallica measures 2,500 square metres, the Cowperplatz 6,000. At large events, the blast furnace backdrop can be lit with a light installation. Which celebrations the park allows on the squares, you find out from the event management; only then can we talk about power and weather protection for the music.

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.
Who I am
At a wedding in Duisburg, two families with roots in very different countries often sit at one table, three generations included. So that everyone finds themselves in the programme, I ask you both to name the songs that must not be missing in your families, and I blend them into custom edits.
You enter your wishes and no-gos in advance, and on the evening nobody notices a thing. We clarify the menu, speeches and daily schedule early, and if you like I go through the programme with you. I explain how I go about it step by step in the video call.

With your booking, the wedding portal opens, a web app for favourite songs, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week before the celebration, we go through the day step by step over the phone.
On the wedding day I arrive at the venue early, set up in about 40 minutes, listen to the empty room and touch base with the speaker, photographer and service staff.
For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, the pieces you have chosen play. Calm lounge music plays at the reception, and if there is no power outdoors, the battery steps in.
During the meal the music steps back; a wireless microphone is ready for speeches, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I pick a dedicated track for each.
The dancing begins with your requested edit, then I watch the dance floor and keep adapting the set until young and old celebrate the last track together.

I mix soul, disco, pop and chart hits in the proportion your guests embrace them, rather than working through a list.
Set-up and sound check take a good 40 minutes, the system needs only 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I pack everything away myself. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up spot, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.
Outdoor
For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, the music runs on battery, so a nearby power socket is not necessary.
A photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book can be added, and I take care of the coordination.

+49 176 700 580 27I ask both sides for a few favourite tracks and link them through tempo and rhythm, so every group gets its moment. We agree the rough running order beforehand, and on the night I adapt it to the dance floor.
Glass and stone floors throw the sound back, so I test the empty room and position the speakers accordingly. I set the volume so that your speakers and witnesses can be understood clearly.
During the reception I keep the music low and raise it in small steps after the meal. Anyone who arrives later steps into an evening already in full swing, because I never change the tempo abruptly.
Popular dates in late spring and early autumn go early, so write to me as soon as the date and venue are settled. Within a day I'll let you know whether your date is still free.
Yes, I come with a slim set that fits against a wall, and 2.5 by 1.5 metres is enough for me. I set the volume so that you can keep chatting at the table.
Send me the file in advance, and I will check its sound and length and match the volume. If you like, I will edit an intro that leaves time for you to walk onto the dance floor.
