Company parties in Erfurt
Exhibition hall, glasshouse or old town hall: in the state capital of Thuringia the rooms differ greatly, so I first ask about the program and the room. Six venues, from the Messe through industrial halls and a banquet hall to the glasshouse in the park, show the range for your company evening: gala, conference with evening program or summer party.
In Erfurt your choices range from the Carl-Zeiss-Saal in the Congress Center of the trade fair, with up to 726 seats, to the halls in the egapark. Congress Center, glasshouse and hall sound different, which is why I ask you first about the room and the number of guests and only then choose the system.
In the Danakil desert house your event sounds different from one in the Kaisersaal, and in the Kontor in the old industrial halls it sounds different again. In the briefing we write down with you how the meal, speeches and dancing follow each other; I take care of setup and teardown entirely on my own.
According to Wikipedia, the Congress Center of the Messe Erfurt has seven meeting rooms and the Carl-Zeiss-Saal with up to 726 seats, plus a panorama hall with a view over the city. With so many rooms, I clarify beforehand where your evening takes place and what the sound looks like there.
The Kaisersaal is a cultural and congress center in the listed ensemble of the old town, and according to Wikipedia the hall holds up to 560 people. In a historic building I deliberately keep the sound discreet until the program is over.
According to the operator, the desert and jungle house is suitable for conferences, workshops, lectures as well as corporate and private events, with 326 square meters of space, a 100 square meter foyer and 250 seats. A glasshouse needs its own sound system, so we fix the setup early.
According to the operator, Halle 1 has 1200 square meters and a capacity of 400 people, with presentations and exhibitions named. For a company party in such a large hall, I plan the sound system and setup time together with you.
According to the operator, the open grounds are available with a party tent on request for summer parties and company celebrations. Outdoors a lot depends on weather and power supply, and we discuss both with you before the program is set.
On its website under Veranstalten, the Kontor lists company parties, meetings and conferences, and it is located in old industrial halls. Which area is intended for your evening, you will learn from the venue, and then I align my setup.

Who I am
The framework of your evening in Erfurt is set by the programme, and my music planning follows it: reception, speeches, dinner, then dancing. My beginnings lie at a nightclub desk in 1998, and later company parties and private celebrations came along. When your guests listen to speeches and when they celebrate, we clarify by phone or video call before I fix anything.
I do not want to stand out: my edits let the sections of your event flow into each other. I carry my equipment, including wireless microphones, into the hall myself, set up and listen to the sound before your guests arrive.

Which track works for which generation, I hear in the room and adjust the mix continuously instead of working through a list. The balancing act between company culture and party mood I have mastered for many years, including for corporations such as BMW or Amazon. For the transition from dinner to party I keep time free, so a long speech does not slow your evening down. Up to 150 guests I provide the complete technology myself, for larger events I bring in reliable technology partners.

First comes your music wish list, then I take over the coordination with the venue and service providers, so you do not have to worry about it. Tracks and themes that do not suit your occasion, I note in our conversation and consistently leave out of the program.

From the soul of the seventies to today's charts, we agree your music programme beforehand, and I combine the genres into one whole.
About two hours before admission I am ready to go, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.

I size the speakers generously so that additional colleagues are not noticeable in the sound. My system is enough for up to 150 guests; if it gets bigger, I bring in technical partners and tell you early.
In the briefing we set when each item comes, so I know the start of every award. I take the microphone only where your schedule calls for an announcement, and afterwards I lead the music gently back into the celebration.
In the foyer I let quiet background music play, and in the hall I build the mood up to the dance floor. We agree on the time of the move in advance, with a buffer for speeches that run long, and I coordinate the times with your venue.
Four to eight weeks in advance are usually enough for a summer party; for large occasions and in peak season, it can be earlier. You will know from me the very next day whether the date is free. The invoice comes only after the event, payable within seven days.
Yes, through my network I arrange vocals, saxophone, violin or percussion that blend into my mix. A live musician fits especially well at the reception or at the start of the dance floor, and I fix the timing with you in the briefing.

Your corporate event in Erfurt begins with a short message about the occasion, date and number of participants. In a video call we discuss the music, programme and room, and a few days before the date the briefing with the schedule follows. On the day of the event I am in the hall before admission, check the sound with the chairs still empty and stand ready. My system is enough for up to about 150 guests; for larger groups I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A pure Ballermann and schlager programme? That is not part of my repertoire. A few sing-along titles are welcome at company parties, but building a whole evening on them goes against my style. The same goes for techno with no connection to your audience, for rigid request lists and for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who do exactly that gladly and well.
My strength is mixing live for guests with a sense for the right moment: precise transitions, the right track at the right time, rather than letting a playlist run. That is why I would rather tell you straight away what I don't offer than have you disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right choice, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll discuss everything else.
