Company parties in Recklinghausen
Hotel ballroom, industrial hall or castle park: the venues for company evenings vary a great deal in the Vest, so I first ask about the programme and the room. Four addresses show how different your evening around Recklinghausen can turn out: a party in the conference hotel in the old town, in a former colliery hall, in the festival house or in the castle park in Herten.
Your company evening in the Vest takes place in a conference hotel, a factory hall or a banquet hall. How much equipment the room needs follows from the number of guests and the programme; that is what we talk through with you first.
For your foyer I think about how guests arrive and strike up conversation, and for a high-ceilinged room, how speech stays clear and the sound stays clean. Together with you I sketch the evening from the welcome to the clean-up. I bring all the equipment myself and take it away again afterwards.
The hotel has five conference rooms with daylight and air conditioning and is located in a manor house more than 300 years old; the courtyard serves as a car park. Which room suits your number of guests, you will learn at the venue. Afterwards we set the flow of reception, speeches and dancing.
The hall on the grounds of the former König Ludwig colliery serves the Ruhrfestspiele as a studio stage and describes itself as having industrial charm. Whether and on which dates you can celebrate there, you clarify with the festival; for a high room I agree the sound setup early.
The Ruhrfestspielhaus in the Stadtgarten opened in 1965 and was converted into a congress and conference venue from 1996 to 1998. Which rooms are possible for a company party and when they are free, the house can tell you. With a building of this size, we clarify early who looks after the technology.
The moated castle in neighbouring Herten stands in a landscape park of about 30 hectares and hosts cultural events such as the Schlosskonzerte. Whether a company evening is possible there, you clarify with the operators; in a listed building we discuss in advance where equipment may stand.

Welcome, awards, dancing: from the schedule of your evening in Recklinghausen I work out how the music is built up. My path began at a disco booth; by now I have looked after more than 1450 private and corporate events. Craft businesses, service providers, associations and university institutions celebrate here, and with every company I first listen to the tone the venue sets.
When speeches are planned and when the dancing starts, we agree with you in the preliminary conversation. Because I cut the transitions myself, no item on the programme ends abruptly for your guests. My sound system including wireless microphones travels with me; if your venue has its own technicians, I coordinate directly with them.

First we note down your music wishes; I coordinate with the venue and service providers myself, and I strike any tracks you do not want without exception.

We put together your programme, from seventies soul to current chart hits, together, and I weave the styles into one evening.
For setup I need about 40 minutes and a footprint of roughly 2.5 by 1.5 metres; afterwards I dismantle everything myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

+49 176 700 580 27I start with songs that are familiar from the apprentice to the executive floor, and let the danceability grow gradually. We settle the level of formality with you in the initial conversation.
I ask you for the schedule in advance and arrange the music so that every speaker starts without background sound. Once the ceremony is over, I raise tempo and volume step by step, so your guests move into the party without a break.
Hard floors and walls are familiar to me: during setup I check how the room sounds and adjust speakers and levels. I need access, power supply and floor space from you early, so I am ready on time.
My standard system is enough for events of up to 150 people. If you expect more, I bring in a technology partner and agree on it with you early, so the sound carries to the back as well.
Four to eight weeks are usually enough for us to settle the music and schedule. For large guest numbers or dates in late autumn, ask earlier; I will get back to you by the next day at the latest.
Yes, you will have a written quote before you commit. After the event I invoice your company and, if you wish, enter your purchase order number.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
