Company parties in Remscheid
Event hall, Lichthof or Hofsaal: every room in Remscheid calls for different sound, so I first ask about the programme and the number of guests. Five addresses, from the Eventhalle at Willy-Brandt-Platz to the Hofsaal in Endringhausen, show how different your company evening can look: as an anniversary in a ballroom, as a summer party in the Lichthof or as a department party in a small circle.
The venues in Remscheid range from event halls to farm function rooms with a stage, and each one gets a different sound setup.
Large halls swallow sound while farm function rooms throw it back; I balance both with a trial run before the guests arrive. I also adjust the lighting for the arrival and for the later evening to suit the room.

Who I am
Staff party, company anniversary or Christmas party: how your evening in Remscheid unfolds determines how I build the music. I became a DJ in the nightclub, and today over 1450 private and business events make up my experience. With you I decide beforehand when speeches are due and when the music may get louder.
I build transitions by hand so that the mood is kept after every item on the programme. I bring my complete system with microphones, and I do the sound check before the guests arrive. If the venue employs its own technical staff, I coordinate directly with them.

It starts with your music wish list; I coordinate with the venue and service providers myself, and tracks that don't suit the occasion, I remove at your request.

From seventies soul to current chart hits: we agree on the programme in advance, and I blend the styles into one whole.
For the setup I allow 40 minutes and about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and after the last track I take everything down again. About 2.5 m in width and 1.5 m in depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) the setup takes about 40 minutes.

I begin with refined, familiar pieces for the reception and open up the mix once conversations are in full swing. Your guests experience an evening that begins with dignity and grows more relaxed later.
During the talks my music stays off, and I only bring it up on your host's cue. We agree on which cues apply together in advance.
Yes, for each honour I choose, at your request, a short track that suits the person or the service anniversary. Give me the names and the schedule beforehand, and I will match the cue and the length to them.
Plan on four to eight weeks, and in May and June or before Christmas preferably earlier. I reply to an enquiry within a day.
Yes, I play in contributions and jingles. Send me the files in advance so that I can test the transitions and volume before the start.

Tell me what is being celebrated, when and with how many guests; in the video call we clarify music, programme and venue. Before the date we go through each station of your evening one by one in the briefing. On the day itself my system is up after 40 minutes, and I test it in the empty hall. My standard system is enough for up to 150 guests, and for a larger audience I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A pure Ballermann and schlager programme? That is not part of my repertoire. A few sing-along titles are welcome at company parties, but building a whole evening on them goes against my style. The same goes for techno with no connection to your audience, for rigid request lists and for festivals with several stages. There are colleagues who do exactly that gladly and well.
My strength is mixing live for guests with a sense for the right moment: precise transitions, the right track at the right time, rather than letting a playlist run. That is why I would rather tell you straight away what I don't offer than have you disappointed on the night.
If that doesn't suit your event, I'm not the right choice, and that's perfectly fine. If it does, we'll discuss everything else.
