Company parties in Wiesbaden
Hotel ballroom, castle hall or monastery vault: rooms in a spa and congress city differ greatly, which is why I first ask about the programme and the room. Six venues, from the Kurhaus to the monastery in the Rheingau, show how different your company evening can turn out: as a dinner for a small group, as a gala in a ballroom or as a party for hundreds.
The venues for your celebration range from the palace in Biebrich with a marble hall for up to 800 people to the vaulted cellar in the Rheingau for the party after dinner. Only after you tell me the occasion, format and number of guests do I decide how much equipment suits the room.
In a historic monastery vault I follow the venue's rules; in a hotel ballroom I set up more generously. In what order the meal, speeches and party run, we record in the briefing with you, and I coordinate setup and teardown with the venue.
The Kurhaus lists congresses, conferences, business events and formal evening events. According to the operator, up to 2,500 guests are possible when the rooms are used together, and the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal has an extendable stage with a surrounding gallery. For a venue of this size I coordinate the sound and setup with you early.
The Jagdschloss Platte lists company parties, Christmas parties, conferences and new-year kick-offs. According to the operator, the whole house over two floors offers 660 square metres for 600 guests, and equipment and catering run through partners of the house. I coordinate my setup with these partners in advance.
The Dorint Pallas lists conferences, business events and celebrations. According to the operator, the ballroom holds up to 440 people, and there are 14 rooms across 2,000 square metres in total. When the day moves from meeting to party, I plan the transition with you so the music fits the programme.
Schloss Henkell in Biebrich hosts company parties, conferences and galas. According to the operator, the Marmorsaal holds up to 800 people and the smaller halls 100 to 150, and a sound system is available. Whether I use it or set up my own system, I decide after looking at the venue's details.
The Stiftung Kloster Eberbach lists conferences, corporate events, anniversaries and parties. According to the operator, the Laiendormitorium Süd holds up to 350 people and the Mönchsdormitorium up to 600. In historic vaulted halls, I ask the venue beforehand what equipment is permitted before I settle my setup.
The Gutshaus in Hattenheim lists company parties, company conferences and Christmas parties. According to the operator, there are up to 145 seats in two connected rooms, and a vaulted cellar suits the party after dinner. For the move from dinner to the cellar, I agree the timing with you.

Welcome, speeches, party: the schedule of your event in Wiesbaden determines how I set up the music. My first evenings were in 1998 in a nightclub, since 2004 private and corporate parties have been added, and by now there are over 1450 events. In our first conversation, by phone or video, we agree with you on the switch between speeches and dancing.
I stay in the background, and my own edits let the phases of your evening flow into one another. On the day, I bring the equipment and wireless microphones, set up myself and do the soundcheck.

Which track works for which generation, I hear in the room and respond accordingly, rather than working through a list. I have managed the balance between company culture and party mood since 2004, including for corporations such as Audi, BMW, Microsoft or Amazon. For the move from dinner to party, I keep time free so that a long speech does not slow your evening down. For up to 150 guests I supply all the equipment myself; for larger events I work with reliable technical partners.

Your music wish list comes first, then I sort out the details with the venue and suppliers myself, so you do not have to chase anyone. Tracks and topics that do not suit your occasion, I note down in our conversation and keep out of the programme.

From seventies soul to today's charts, we discuss your music programme beforehand, and I weave the genres into one whole.
I am ready about two hours before doors open, set up the system calmly and clear everything away myself after the last track. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Even at a gala or anniversary celebration, I apply the same standard as at any company party, from the first guest to the farewell.

If the house system is up to it, I connect my laptop and controller there; otherwise I bring my own speakers. What I recommend for your room, you will hear in the initial conversation.
I plan the speakers with room to spare, so that later registrations do not affect your evening. My own system covers up to 150 guests; for more visitors I bring technical partners and will tell you in good time.
In the briefing we put the meal, the speeches and the acts into a sequence, so I know exactly when each contribution comes up. I only make an announcement if it is planned in your programme. After that I bring the mix in so that your guests barely notice the party beginning.
At the reception the sound stays subdued so that people can talk; in the second room I build the mix step by step towards the dance floor. How the changeover works and what happens if a programme item runs over, we settle with you in advance, and I coordinate it with the venue.
For December I recommend four to eight weeks' lead time, and the same goes for summer parties. You get my first reply by the day after your enquiry at the latest, and after the event an invoice follows with 7 days to pay.
Yes, I will arrange a saxophonist, a violinist, percussion or vocals for you, playing along to my mix. With me in the briefing, you decide whether the live act accompanies the transition between starter and main course or opens the dance floor.

If you want live music already at the reception or dinner, I'll arrange a well-rehearsed band of two to four musicians for you. After that I keep playing without a break, and because the planning is in my hands, I remain your single point of contact.

For your corporate event in Wiesbaden we proceed like this: you tell me the occasion, date and expected number of participants, then we clarify music, schedule and venue in a video call. Shortly before the event, I go through the evening with you minute by minute in the briefing. On the day of the event I am ready before doors open and check the sound in the empty hall. For smaller groups my own system is enough; for large events I bring in technical partners.

Transparency
A programme made up exclusively of party-anthem and Schlager hits doesn't suit me. Guests at any company party like a few sing-along classics, but building the whole evening on them isn't my style. I'm also the wrong contact for techno sets with no connection to your guests, for wish lists that run rigidly from top to bottom, or for multi-stage festivals. Colleagues who love exactly that take such jobs.
My craft is live mixing for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
