DJ Potsdam · City of Palaces, Havel and Babelsberg
From the Neuer Garten to Babelsberg and from the Dutch Quarter to the Havel riverbank: music for your celebration in the state capital.
Whether you are celebrating between palace park and water, on the studio grounds in Babelsberg or in the brick-built quarter of the old town, I provide the music. I'm Michael Zimmermann; you tell me about the occasion and the guests beforehand, and what then plays, track by track, is decided by the evening itself.

You get exactly one shot. I had 1,450 to practise.
Micha is a great DJ. He is super nice and implements everything exactly as agreed. I can absolutely recommend him.

Occasions
Three pages for three kinds of celebration: choose the card that fits your event in Potsdam or the surrounding area.
In a greenhouse, on the lakeshore or in a concert hall: the music accompanies your day from the first glass to the last track.
A gala in the studio hall, a summer party by the water or a year-end celebration in the concert hall: the music puts your team in the mood for the evening.
A milestone birthday in the brewery on the Jungfernsee or in the cultural centre on the Schiffbauergasse: the music follows the age of the guests and your taste.
Around Potsdam
Potsdam is a state capital with 185,137 inhabitants, lies on the Havel and, with its palaces and gardens, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. Studio Babelsberg has existed since 1912 and the university since 1991, and this mix produces an audience ranging from students to film people.
Your celebration doesn't have to take place in the centre: Werder an der Havel, Kleinmachnow, Falkensee or Nauen are just as much part of my service area as the districts in the north and south of Potsdam.

About me
I learned how to read a crowd I don't know at a nightclub booth. Over 1,450 events later, more than 650 of them weddings, the same rule applies to company parties and birthdays: listen first, then choose the right track.
If you would like to get an impression beforehand, you will find 60 reviews on Google with an average of 5.0 stars. Before a celebration I want to know who is coming, how many guests are expected and what the evening should mean, because the music and equipment follow from that.
I also teach my craft in workshops run by DJ Allianz e.V., from beatmatching to reading the mood in the room. In a city with a university, film studios and research institutes, very different groups often celebrate together, and that is exactly what I am prepared for.

Services
Sound and lighting for rooms of up to about 150 guests, wireless microphones for speeches and backup equipment come to every party. On request I add uplights, a photo booth, an audio guest book or live music to the DJ set. We discuss the schedule and music calmly beforehand, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers for everyone planning to celebrate in Potsdam or on the Havel. More can be found on the pages for weddings, company parties and birthdays.
+49 176 700 580 27I bring the music, the equipment and, if you like, announcements myself, whether you are celebrating in Babelsberg, in the old town or in Bornstedt. You decide how the evening is structured, and I put it into practice.
Yes, towns along the Havel and in the surrounding area such as Werder, Michendorf, Teltow or Falkensee are included too. Just tell me where you are celebrating.
As soon as your date is fixed, because in the summer season the weekends in particular are booked early. Within 24 hours you will know from me whether your date is still free.
With a mix like that, I combine classics, current chart hits and dance music and watch what the dance floor takes to. We settle your requests and the no-gos beforehand.
My luggage includes a second setup with a spare laptop, whether in a park pavilion or a concert hall. If something fails, the music keeps playing regardless.
Write to me via the form or call, no matter whether your celebration takes place at the Heiliger See or the Templiner See. I will get back to you within 24 hours, we arrange a non-binding video call, and afterwards you receive a personal quote.
Then enquire right away, before another couple or team books the same Saturday.

Even more options
If you want more than a DJ set, I book live musicians from my network to join in. They perform between tracks and blend into the evening, whether you are celebrating in Potsdam itself or somewhere around the Havel. We decide together which line-up fits.
01
Aperitif · Opening dance
A saxophone over mellow beats adds warmth to the aperitif and turns the opening dance into a small performance.
02
Entrance · Surprise
A voice accompanies the entrance or surprises the birthday guest of honour, especially when they suspect nothing.
03
Late evening · Dance floor
Drums and percussion drive the evening along as soon as everyone should get moving after dessert.
04
Standing reception · Dinner
The violin plays at the standing reception or during dinner and gives the evening a festive touch in the hall, in the garden or on the terrace.

I look forward to hearing what you're celebrating, and I'll make sure the music fits. Popular dates are often booked months in advance, so an early inquiry pays off.
