Wedding venues in Berlin

Weddings in Berlin.

Factory hall, banquet hall or courtyard garden: before I settle on the system and the schedule, I ask about the room, the acoustics and the routes, because every venue in Berlin needs different planning. I present five venues, from the former pumping station on the Spree via the brewery in Prenzlauer Berg and the crematorium in Wedding to the Renaissance fortress in Spandau, and for each one I plan the setup and schedule together with you.

Pumping station, brewery or domed hall: a wedding in Berlin

Between a pumping station by the water, a former brewery in the neighbourhood and a domed hall in Wedding there is plenty of room for your day. Material and ceiling height tell me how a room sounds, and I set speakers, placement and schedule accordingly.

Under high hall ceilings I keep the level lower than on a terrace, and a room with wood and stucco usually suits a smaller set. Do you have a theme? Then send me your requested tracks along with a list of songs to keep out. I allow 40 minutes for setup, so I am ready before the first guests arrive.

Radialsystem

Friedrichshain, Berlin

The building on the Spree was the sewage pumping station V until 1999 and has been a place for the arts and ideas since 2006; according to Wikipedia, about 2,500 square meters can be rented for receptions and gala evenings. For a wedding spread over several floors, I ask in advance where you will dance and where you want to eat before I decide on speakers and routes.

Kulturbrauerei

Schönhauser Allee, Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin

The brewery was founded in 1842, Franz Schwechten planned its expansion, and since the renovation around 2000 it has housed the Kesselhaus, the Maschinenhaus and the Alte Kantine. Which rooms are an option for you is something you clarify with the venue; I align my setup accordingly and make sure the music does not blur in the high rooms.

silent green Kulturquartier

Gerichtstraße 35, Wedding, Berlin

In the former Wedding crematorium, the historic domed hall is used for concerts, readings and celebrations, among other things; the ceremony hall was built from 1909 to 1910. For a wedding in such a special building, I talk with you beforehand about how much music the room can take and which moments should stay quiet.

Funkhaus Berlin

Nalepastraße, Oberschöneweide, Berlin

Franz Ehrlich built the Funkhaus from 1951 to 1956 for the broadcasting service of the GDR, and today the grounds near the Spree are an event venue with studios. On such a large site, I ask in advance which part of the building the celebration is in, and I plan the setup with the venue.

Zitadelle Spandau

Spandau, Berlin

The fortress at the confluence of the Spree and the Havel was completed by 1594, and according to Wikipedia events are possible in the Gothic Hall and other rooms. With thick walls, I plan the sound and the dance floor with the venue, so that sound and atmosphere fit together.

Rooms, years of construction and uses come from Wikipedia, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free and how many guests fit into the room, you can only find out from the respective venue itself.

Free ceremony in Berlin

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Your wedding in Berlin should sound like you, and that is why I ask about you first. My career began in a discotheque, and how to bring an entire room together has occupied me ever since. Over 650 weddings have shown me that grandparents, friends from the neighborhood and colleagues rarely warm to the same song at the same speed.

That's why I build my own edits, where styles and decades flow into one another. I don't push myself into the spotlight, the music should do its work, and your day stays the center. When the evening is over, everything should have felt like your celebration.

How it works

From the inquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Berlin.

A short message is enough, you get an answer within 24 hours, and after that the video call, the arrangements and the setup carry you through to the opening dance.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

Send me the date and venue as soon as both are settled, and I reply the same day or at the latest within 24 hours. In the video call there is no sales pressure, just getting to know each other, ideas and then your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking, the wedding portal is yours. There you collect special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule in the web app; about a week before the celebration we talk by phone and go through everything.

  3. Set-up & sound check

While you get ready, I am already at the venue. My setup takes about 40 minutes, then I check the sound, go over details with the officiant and the photographer, and keep the technology unobtrusive for the guests.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, I use music to set the mood. At the reception that follows, subtle lounge music plays in the background, and even without a power connection outdoors everything works on battery.

  5. Dinner & programme items

The meal gets a calm soundtrack from me. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss each get the fitting sound.

  6. Opening dance & party

With your chosen edit you open the dance, and then the party begins. I see what the dance floor demands, adjust the set live and keep all generations moving until the end.

Everything behind
the mix

At my weddings, soul classics and current chart hits share the same evening, because several generations often sit at your tables. From the first contact to the last song, the music stays in one pair of hands.

Hands on the DJ controller in warm backlight

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

What plays next I decide by the mood in the room; I stay in the background, and the microphone belongs to speeches and programme items.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

LED uplights bathe the room in the colour you choose, and over the course of the evening the lighting moves with the music.

The photo station works on its own during the celebration, saves every picture in a private online gallery and, if you wish, prints copies straight away for your guests.

You collect your guests' photos without an app of their own via Feierblick, an external service that I recommend and that you book independently of me.

Pioneer DJ setup in front of a wedding venue with candlelight

Equipment that doesn't stand out

In my cases are two wireless microphones, lighting effects, a Pioneer or Denon console and speakers from RCF or Electro-Voice.

White retro telephone as an audio guest book on a table with a velvet cloth Add-on

On the retro telephone, guests record their good wishes on tape, and after the celebration I cut the recordings into a finished audio file for you.

One fixed contact person

I reply to your enquiry within 24 hours, and we stay in constant contact until the wedding day.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We clarify requests and no-gos straight away in the initial conversation, and then I coordinate details with your venue and the other service providers.

Music genres

I combine disco classics, nineties hits, current charts and electronic music, and what plays is decided by the mood of your guests and not by a rigid list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I arrive in good time before the start, set everything up calmly, check the sound and take everything down myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or elevators) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, ring exchange and exit of your humanist ceremony, my music works without a mains cable; a powerful battery carries the entire ceremony.

Optional: extras

If you want a photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book together, you get everything from a single source, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Berlin want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
We're getting married in a former factory hall in Berlin: how do you get the sound under control?

Bare masonry and high ceilings throw the sound back, and I can handle that. Beforehand I listen to the room and aim the speakers at the dance floor. Usually I take the level down and steer the sound in a targeted way so you can talk comfortably at the table.

Our guests come from all over the world: how does the music work for such a mixed crowd?

Send me the songs that connect you and your guests, including ones in other languages, and I will place them at the right moments. I speak German, unless you would like another language.

The ceremony takes place in the courtyard and the power outlet is far away. Can that still work?

No problem: I accompany the entrance, ring exchange and exit with a battery-powered system that needs no power cable. You fix the songs beforehand, and for the courtyard please obtain the venue's approval.

How do you get parents and grandparents onto the dance floor?

I can see which tables everyone stays seated at, and I play the track that works there. With my own mixes of disco, soul and new hits, I get the parents out of their chairs first, and the younger guests follow. Anything that must not be played, we settle before the party.

Can you arrange a saxophonist or a violinist for the reception?

Yes, violin, saxophone, vocals or percussion come from my network, matched to my mix. We discuss the best time for the performance in the video call.

How early should we inquire for a Saturday in summer?

Write to me as soon as your date is set, because the most popular summer Saturdays go first. By the next day at the latest you will know whether I still have time on your date; only then do we start planning.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin for you. When the performance works best, we sort out in good time before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif in the courtyard gives the reception a soft, elegant opening, especially when the evening slowly turns to dusk.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion gives the beat more punch, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

With live vocals your wedding gets the glamour of a concert evening, and in the party phase your guests sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with a solemn sound and gives the meal the feel of a gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
