Wedding venues in Bonn

Weddings in Bonn.

First I ask whether you are celebrating in the neoclassical hall in Bad Godesberg, in the hotel on the Rhine or on a roof garden, because my set-up depends on it. Five venues show you how varied a celebration can be: a banquet hall with a park in Bad Godesberg, a castle above the Rhine valley, a hotel on the right bank of the Rhine, a roof garden on the Museumsmeile and a concert hall in the federal quarter.

From banqueting hall to roof garden: weddings in Bonn

In Bonn you celebrate in a garden hall in a park, in a hotel on the Rhine or on a roof on the Museumsmeile. How a room sounds depends on height, walls and guest numbers, so I only plan speakers and positioning once you've made your choice.

Between high walls the sound is different from on a terrace under the open sky, and my lighting follows suit. My setup is finished after about 40 minutes, then I listen to the empty room.

Redoute

Kurfürstenallee 1, Bad Godesberg

This neoclassical building from 1790 to 1792 stands in its own park opposite the Kurpark. The operator lists the Beethovensaal, Gartensaal, four salons and three terraces for events of 10 to 500 people, weddings explicitly included. You discuss with the venue which hall suits your guest numbers, and then I tune speakers and lighting to it.

Godesburg

Alt-Godesberg, Bonn

The castle, founded in 1210, stands 122 metres high on the Godesberg; its keep reaches 32 metres and offers views of the Rhine valley and the Siebengebirge. After the conversion of 1959 to plans by Gottfried Böhm, there is a restaurant there. Whether and how you can celebrate there is something to ask the venue, and afterwards we go through the routes for the equipment together.

Kameha Grand Bonn

Ramersdorf, on the right bank of the Rhine

The hotel opened on 15 November 2009 on the site of a former cement factory, with an interior in neo-baroque forms designed by Marcel Wanders. Eight event rooms hold up to 2,500 people, plus a terrace. With rooms this different, I only decide how to place speakers and lighting after you've chosen your room.

Bundeskunsthalle, roof garden

Museumsmeile, Bonn

On the roof of the building by Gustav Peichl, opened in 1992, there is a roof garden which the operator describes as suitable for receptions and gatherings, including non-public ones. Outdoors, weather and power supply matter, so we talk early about an indoor plan B.

Beethovenhalle

Bundesviertel, Bonn

After a long renovation, the hall from 1959 reopened on 16 December 2025. Alongside the Großer Saal there is the Studio with 487 seats and the Kammermusiksaal with 240 seats, and parties are among the listed occasions. You can find out directly from the venue which room you're interested in and what it permits for weddings.

I looked up rooms, seats and occasions on Wikipedia and on the operators' websites (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit in is something only the venue itself knows.

Free wedding ceremony in Bonn

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

At your wedding in Bonn, different worlds often meet: fellow students from university, colleagues from ministries and associations, aunts from the countryside. That everyone dances together with you is no coincidence, but my work on the transitions. I cut my own edits from classics, soul and current hits so that the beat never breaks off.

You tell me what matters to you in a video call, and then we plan the evening step by step. Your wedding music is like Beethoven's symphonies: every movement has its place, and that is exactly why the whole feels effortless.

How it works

From enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Bonn.

Send me the date and venue and you'll get a reply within 24 hours. Then come the video call, arrangements with the venue and set-up planning.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

You give me the date and venue, and I get back to you the same day, at the latest within 24 hours. The video call commits you to nothing: we get to know each other, gather ideas, and then you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

Once you book, your wedding portal opens, a web app for favourite songs, no-gos, special moments and the schedule. About a week beforehand we talk by phone and go through the day step by step.

  3. Set-up & sound check

On the wedding day I arrive early enough, set up in around 40 minutes, check the sound in the empty room and coordinate with the speaker, photographer and catering staff.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, ring exchange and exit, the pieces you chose play. At the reception there is subtle lounge music, and if there is no socket within reach outdoors, the battery takes over.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During the meal the music stays quiet. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I find the right track each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

Your requested edit opens the dancing, then I watch the floor and keep adjusting the set until young and old celebrate the last track together.

Everything behind
the mix

Three generations often dance together at a wedding, which is why soul classics stand alongside current chart hits. From the first conversation to the last song, the music stays in one pair of hands.

Music genres

I mix disco, soul, pop and current chart hits to suit what your guests respond to in the moment, rather than following a fixed list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

Setup and soundcheck take a good 40 minutes, the system needs only 2.5 by 1.5 metres of space, and after the last track I pack everything away myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Bonn want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
We love classical music but want to dance too: can both fit into a wedding in Bonn?

Yes, and in that order: something classical or instrumental can play for the reception or entrance, then I lead you through soul and pop to the dance floor. You decide how much classical music you want, and we agree beforehand when it ends.

Our guests come from the university, from public offices and from the village: how do you bring them together?

I start with songs that every age group knows, then open up step by step in all directions. I learn from you in the portal what each group likes, and I cut out any breaks between tracks.

We would like to celebrate in a park where the ground is some distance from the power supply: is that possible?

Yes, I bring a battery system for speeches and quiet music. For the dance evening we need a power connection, which you clarify with the venue beforehand, before the date is fixed.

There are only thirty of us: isn't a DJ overkill?

No, for small groups I set up a compact system that does not dominate the room. Even with thirty guests I make sure people dance, as long as the music fits.

We want to get married in May: how early do we need to ask you?

Saturdays from May to September are among the first to go with me. Get in touch as soon as you know your date; within 24 hours you will hear whether I am still free that day.

Who of us gets to use the microphone, and how do speeches and games work?

Two wireless microphones are part of my setup, one of them for your speakers and programme items. I bring the music down as soon as someone speaks and bring it back in seamlessly afterwards.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange a saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin. We discuss the right moment well before the big day.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone sounds soft and warm on the terrace in the evening, especially at dusk, when the conversations grow quieter.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion drives the beat after dessert, and the dance floor fills almost without being asked.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Live vocals lend your celebration the sparkle of a concert, and once the party starts the microphone can go to the guests as well.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance and turns the dinner into a festive opening that your guests will not forget.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
