Wedding venues in Frankfurt

Weddings in Frankfurt.

Before I settle on the system and the schedule, I ask about the venue, the room and the outdoor space, because a terrace, a hall and a ship's saloon each call for different arrangements. I introduce four venues to you, from a banqueting hall in the Westend and hotel ballrooms to the ship on the Main, and for each I plan the set-up and schedule together with you.

Terrace, saloon or deck: wedding in Frankfurt

For your wedding in Frankfurt the choice ranges from a banqueting hall with a garden terrace and the ballroom of a hotel in the city centre to a saloon on a ship gliding over the Main. Each of these venues sounds different, and I tailor the system, positioning and schedule accordingly.

If your celebration takes place in a large hall, I plan more reserve for sound and lighting than for a reception in an inner courtyard. If you have a theme, tell me the songs that belong to it and those that must not be played under any circumstances. About two hours before the guests arrive I am on site, so that everything is ready for the reception.

Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten

Palmengartenstraße 11, Frankfurt am Main

The Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten lists weddings among its occasions and offers a wedding reception on a terrace overlooking the Palmengarten and the city's skyscrapers. According to the operator, the banqueting hall built in 1870 holds 600 people with banquet seating. Whether you begin in the hall or on the terrace determines how I put my set-up together.

Sofitel Frankfurt Opera

Opernplatz 16, Frankfurt am Main

For weddings, the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera presents the Le Marais ballroom with a glass ceiling and, according to the operator, up to 180 guests at the banquet, plus a roof terrace on the sixth floor for up to 50 guests. The ballroom can be divided, so we discuss beforehand whether you choose a large or a small setting, and then I build my system.

Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof

Am Kaiserplatz, Frankfurt am Main

The operator lists the Frankfurter Hof among its wedding hotels. According to the operator, the ballroom measures 305 square metres and holds 180 people at the banquet; on the Ehrenhof terrace up to 300 are possible at the reception. For the change between terrace and hall, I plan the transition with you, so that the music moves along seamlessly.

Schiffe der Primus-Linie

Frankfurt am Main, auf dem Main

The Primus-Linie lists weddings alongside anniversaries and family gatherings as an occasion for its ships. According to the operator, the Wikinger has 118 seats inside and 115 outside, the Nautilus 376 inside and 200 outside. A ship has its own conditions, so I clarify with the operator beforehand what is available on board for the music, and then plan my set-up.

Rooms, capacities and occasions come from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether your preferred date is free and how many guests fit into the venue, you can only find out directly from the respective operator.

Open-air ceremony in Frankfurt

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Your wedding in Frankfurt should sound like you, and for that I listen first. My start was in 1998 in a nightclub, where I learned how to get a crowd moving. Since 2004 I have played at private and corporate celebrations, with over 650 weddings among more than 1,450 events in total.

I do not want to impose myself; the music should work its effect and your day should be the focus. With my own edits I blend tracks from several decades into one another, so that family, friends and colleagues dance together. Later you should be able to say: that was our evening.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Frankfurt.

Write to me briefly, you will get a reply within 24 hours, and after that a video call, arrangements and set-up lead you up to the opening dance.

  1. Enquiry & first chat

Send me the date and venue as soon as they are fixed, and I reply the same day or within 24 hours at the latest. There is no sales pressure in the video call, just getting to know each other, ideas, and then your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

After booking, the wedding portal is yours. There, in the web app, you collect special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule; about a week before the celebration we talk on the phone and go through everything.

  3. Set-up & sound check

While you are getting ready, I am already on site, at least two hours before the start. I set up, check the sound, discuss details with the speaker and the photographer, and keep the technology unobtrusive for the guests.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, I use music to set the mood. At the reception that follows, subtle lounge music plays in the background, and even without a power connection outdoors everything works on battery.

  5. Dinner & programme items

The meal gets a calm soundtrack from me. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss each get the fitting sound.

  6. Opening dance & party

With your chosen edit you open the dance, and then the party begins. I see what the dance floor demands, adjust the set live and keep all generations moving until the end.

Everything behind
the mix

At my weddings, soul classics and current charts share the same evening, because several generations often sit at your tables. From the first contact to the last song, the music stays in one hand.

Hands on the DJ controller in warm backlight

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

What plays next I decide by the mood in the room; I stay in the background, and the microphone belongs to speeches and programme items.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

LED uplights bathe the hall in your chosen colour, and over the course of the evening the light moves with the music.

The photo station works on its own during the celebration, saves every picture in a private online gallery and, if you wish, prints copies straight away for your guests.

You collect your guests' photos without an app of their own via Feierblick, an external service that I recommend and that you book independently of me.

Equipment that doesn't stand out

In my cases are two wireless microphones, lighting effects, a Pioneer or Denon console and speakers from RCF or Electro-Voice.

White retro telephone as an audio guest book on a table with a velvet cloth Add-on

At the retro telephone, guests record their congratulations on tape, and after the celebration I edit them into a finished audio file for you.

One fixed contact person

I reply to your enquiry within 24 hours, and until the wedding day we stay in continuous contact.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We clarify requests and no-gos straight away in the initial conversation, and then I coordinate details with your venue and the other service providers.

Turntable and mixing desk in warm light Open Format

Music genres

I combine disco classics, nineties hits and current charts, and what plays is determined by the mood of your guests and not by a rigid list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I am with you two hours before the start, set everything up calmly, check the sound and dismantle it myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up location, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes around 40 minutes.

Outdoor symbolic wedding ceremony at sunset Outdoor

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, ring exchange and exit of your open-air ceremony, my music manages without a mains cable, because a powerful battery carries the ceremony.

Optional: extras

If you want a photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book together, you get everything from a single source, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Frankfurt want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
Will there be music for our sparkling wine reception in the garden, even if there is no power socket for miles?

Yes. My system runs on a battery, so your outdoor reception needs no cable. Whether the venue allows equipment outdoors, we ask the operator beforehand, so you do not need to worry about it.

How do you provide the music for our open-air ceremony in Frankfurt?

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, I play pieces that you choose beforehand, all without a mains cable. Whether your preferred venue permits an open-air ceremony, you will learn from the operator themselves.

How can we get our grandparents and friends to dance together?

All evening I keep an eye on which tables nobody is dancing at yet, and then look for a track that gets them going. I blend Schlager, charts and classics seamlessly with my own edits. Tracks that absolutely must be played, or never, you tell me beforehand.

Can live music be added to our reception without booking a whole band?

A saxophonist, a violinist, a singer or a percussionist can be booked through me and join my mix live. It is best planned for the reception, the ceremony or the opening dance; exactly when, we decide together with you.

Does a small circle of forty guests suit your offer?

Yes, the standard package covers up to about 150 guests, and with forty my set-up is correspondingly slim. It depends on the room and the number of guests, and all I need is an ordinary power socket at the booth.

When should we book our date with you?

For summer weekends it is best to get in touch early; in quieter months three to six months' notice is often enough. I reply within 24 hours and tell you whether your day is still free with me.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music at the sparkling wine reception or the ceremony, I arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin for you. When the performance works best, we discuss in good time before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif on the terrace gives the reception a soft, elegant start, especially when the evening slowly turns to dusk.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion adds emphasis to the beat, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

With live vocals your wedding gets the glamour of a concert evening, and in the party phase your guests sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with a solemn sound and gives the dinner the setting of a gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
