Wedding venues in Lübeck

Weddings in Lübeck.

Whether a vault with a stucco ceiling, a park at the manor house or a ballroom on the beach: first I ask about the room, because stone, wood and wind each call for different speakers and a different set-up. I introduce five venues, from the medieval merchant's house at the Koberg and the manor house in Stockelsdorf and the estate on the canal to two hotels on the promenade in Travemünde, and for each I plan the set-up and schedule together with you.

Merchant's house, estate or promenade: a wedding in Lübeck

In Lübeck you celebrate among brick façades in the old town, on an estate by the canal or in a hotel on the Travemünde promenade. I listen to how a room sounds beforehand, before I plan speakers and booth.

In a park the wind dampens the sound, and in a vault the stone swallows the highs. You write down the songs you absolutely want to hear and the ones that must not be played and send them to me beforehand. A niche by the wall measuring 2.5 by 1.5 metres is enough for me, and I allow about 40 minutes for setup.

Hoghehus

Koberg 2, Lübeck

According to Wikipedia it is the largest surviving medieval townhouse in the city, with the first building dating from 1216. The operator lists weddings, including humanist ceremonies, the hall of about 180 square metres and the vaulted cellar. Under stucco ceilings I check beforehand where the speakers work best.

Herrenhaus Stockelsdorf

Dorfstraße 7, Stockelsdorf

According to the operator, the manor house in the neighbouring municipality of Stockelsdorf has a large hall on the upper floor, a Gothic vault and a park with a pond, which the operator lists for outdoor civil ceremonies in the garden. Banqueting hall and terrace together hold up to 200 guests. If the celebration moves from the garden into the hall, I plan the transition right along with it.

Romantik Hotel Friederikenhof

Langjohrd 15-19, Lübeck

The former estate on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal lists weddings among its occasions. According to the operator, the restaurant holds up to 70 people and the garden room of 90 square metres up to 60 with a buffet. In small rooms I get by with a modest setup, and I discuss the volume level with you.

ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde

Kaiserallee 2, Lübeck-Travemünde

The hotel is on the beach promenade, and according to the operator its historic ballroom is intended for weddings and galas of up to 120 people. In a hall with so much history I keep equipment and cables discreet, and we discuss beforehand how you divide up the floor.

Maritim Strandhotel Travemünde

Trelleborgallee 2, Lübeck-Travemünde

The hotel on the Baltic beach has twelve event rooms and lists weddings as an occasion. Which room suits you is something you clarify with the hotel. If your hall has many windows facing the sea, I adjust the volume to the guests and the neighbouring rooms.

I took the details on rooms, capacities and occasions from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether a date is available and how many guests fit is something only the venue itself can tell you.

Humanist ceremony in Lübeck

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

If you want to hold your ceremony outdoors, the Hoghehus and the Herrenhaus Stockelsdorf both list humanist ceremonies according to the operators, the Herrenhaus in its garden. I agree the music for the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit with you beforehand.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Your wedding in Lübeck should sound like you, which is why I first ask what matters to you. My path began at a nightclub booth, where I learned to get a mixed crowd dancing. Private and company celebrations followed later, until it added up to more than 1450 events, including over 650 weddings.

My edits link tracks from several decades, so that grandparents, friends and colleagues are on the floor together. In the end, your guests should say that it was exactly your celebration.

How it works

From the enquiry to the final hour of your wedding in Lübeck.

One message from you is enough, I get back to you within 24 hours, and after that a video call, arrangements and setup accompany you right up to the opening dance.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

As soon as the date and venue are settled, you write to me, and you have my answer within 24 hours. The video call is only for getting to know each other and exchanging ideas, and only after that do you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking, the wedding portal is yours. There you collect special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule in the web app; about a week before the celebration we talk by phone and go through everything.

  3. Set-up & sound check

I arrive before the guests are let in, set everything up in about 40 minutes, check the sound and coordinate with the speaker and photographer. Your guests should see as little of the equipment as possible.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, I use music to set the mood. At the reception that follows, subtle lounge music plays in the background, and even without a power connection outdoors everything works on battery.

  5. Dinner & programme items

During dinner I play quiet music. Speeches go through the microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I pick the fitting track each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

With your chosen edit you open the dance, and then the party begins. I see what the dance floor demands, adjust the set live and keep all generations moving until the end.

Everything behind
the mix

At my weddings, soul classics and current chart hits share the same evening, because several generations often sit at your tables. From the first contact to the last song, the music stays in one pair of hands.

Hands on the DJ controller in warm backlight

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

I choose the next track according to the mood in the room; I leave the microphone to speeches and programme items and stay in the background.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

LED uplights bathe the room in your favourite colours, and over the course of the evening the light moves with the music.

FOTOFun station with ring light and instant printer Add-on

The photo station runs by itself during the celebration, saves all the pictures in a private online gallery and, if you like, prints copies for your guests on the spot.

You collect your guests' photos without an app of their own via Feierblick, an external service that I recommend and that you book independently of me.

Equipment that doesn't stand out

The package includes lighting effects, two wireless microphones, a Pioneer or Denon console and speakers from RCF or Electro-Voice.

Your guests record their good wishes on the retro telephone, and after the celebration I edit the recordings together into an audio file for you.

I reply to your enquiry within 24 hours, and we stay in constant contact until the wedding day.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We clarify requests and no-gos straight away in the initial conversation, and then I coordinate details with your venue and the other service providers.

Music genres

I combine disco classics, nineties hits and current charts, and what gets played is decided by the mood of your guests, not by a rigid list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

The console and speakers take up 2.5 by 1.5 metres, I am set up after about 40 minutes, and at the end I clear everything away myself. A width of about 2.5 m and a depth of 1.5 m is enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setting up takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit at your humanist ceremony, my music works without a power cable, as a powerful battery carries the entire ceremony.

Optional: extras

If you want a photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book together, you get everything from a single source, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Lübeck want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
Our celebration is in a medieval merchant's house in Lübeck: how do you handle stucco ceilings?

With stucco and high ceilings, I listen to the room first before I set up speakers. Walls and paintings stay untouched; I clarify the house rules beforehand with the operator and agree them with you.

We would like the cutting of the cake to be a moment of its own: how do you handle it musically?

I turn the music down, announce the cake cutting if you wish, and then play the song you picked for it. Let me know beforehand whether it should be quiet or a surprise.

We are celebrating in Travemünde and want to dance late into the night: how do you keep the mood up?

I divide the evening into sections and save some big tracks for later. After midnight I read your guests and decide whether to carry on with energy or with old favourites.

How much space do you need in our hall, and when do you set up?

A patch of floor measuring 2.5 by 1.5 metres is enough for me, and I am done in about 40 minutes before guests arrive. With my own sound system I cover up to 150 guests.

We are getting married in high summer on the Baltic Sea: when should we get in touch with you?

The earlier the better, because summer Saturdays are in demand. Three to six months is usually enough, and I get back to you within a day.

After the meal everyone usually gets tired at our parties: how do you bring the guests back?

I start with a track everyone can sing along to and raise the tempo and volume step by step. I only open the dance floor once I sense your guests are ready for it.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin for you. We will discuss in good time before the celebration when the performance fits best.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone at the aperitif in the courtyard or on the terrace gives the reception a soft, elegant start, especially as the evening slowly winds down.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion gives the beat more punch, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Live vocals give your wedding the glamour of a concert evening, and in the party phase your guests sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with a festive sound and frames the meal as at a gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
