Wedding venues in Reutlingen

Weddings in Reutlingen.

Whether barn, hotel ballroom or open-air stage: I ask in advance about the room, the house sound system and the outdoor space, because every venue in Reutlingen needs its own approach. Four venues show how different weddings in Reutlingen can be: a hotel hall, a farm at the edge of the Alb, a conference hotel and an open-air stage. How I set up at each one, we work out together.

Barn, hotel ballroom or stage: a wedding in Reutlingen

Anyone getting married in Reutlingen will find very different spaces, from the farm at the foot of the Achalm, through a hotel ballroom, to the open-air stage at Markwasen. Each of these spaces carries music differently, which is why I adjust the sound system, placement and schedule to the space.

A high barn or a former factory hall gives sound more room than a carpeted hall, which is why I listen to the room before the first guest arrives. What is on your list and what must never be played, I read carefully before I put the set together.

Schafstall at Hotel Achalm

Achalm (Gewand) 2, Reutlingen

For weddings, Hotel Achalm names the Schafstall, a glazed timber-framed room on the upper floor with space for up to 200 people and a large dance floor. In a room of glass and wood I pay attention during setup to how it carries the sound, and I agree the placement with the venue beforehand.

Achalm Hof

Stettert 6, Reutlingen

At the Achalm Hof there is an alpine hut with 240 and an event barn with 375 square metres, both with an outdoor area by the natural pond; the operator explicitly names weddings as an occasion. Sound and dance floor lighting are permanently installed, and whether we use the house system or I bring mine, we decide before the date.

Hotel Fortuna

Carl-Zeiss-Straße 75, Reutlingen

Hotel Fortuna has a divisible event hall on the ground floor for up to 400 people and advertises a new panorama hall as well as a sunny terrace. Because the hall can be made smaller, I adapt the system to your guest numbers instead of setting up for the full size.

Naturtheater Reutlingen

Carlo-Schmid-Straße 50, Reutlingen

The association rents out its theatre grounds in the Markwasen and lists weddings among its past events. Under the open sky, sound and equipment location depend on the terrain and the weather, so we talk to the association beforehand about where my system may be placed.

The details on rooms and occasions come from the operators' own pages, as of October 2026. Whether your date is free and how many guests really fit, you can only find out from the venue itself.

Humanist ceremony in Reutlingen

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

Your wedding in Reutlingen should sound like the two of you, so I listen first. My first evenings at the mixer were more than 25 years ago, in a club, and there I learned how to keep a packed hall moving. Today more than 1450 events are part of my record, over 650 of them weddings.

Where families from the region, colleagues from local firms and friends from university come together, I combine tracks from several decades with my own edits so that everyone is on the dance floor at the same time. In the end you should say: that was our day.

How it works

From the enquiry to the final hour of your wedding in Reutlingen.

A short message is enough, and I reply within 24 hours; after that, a video call, arrangements and setup lead step by step up to the opening dance.

  1. Enquiry & first chat

Once the date is set, a short message to me is enough; I usually reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. In a video call we clarify what you want without any sales pressure, and then you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

After booking, I unlock your wedding portal. There you enter special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule in the web app, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything by phone.

  3. Set-up & sound check

I am at the venue before your guests, while you are still getting ready. I set up the equipment, listen to the room, settle final points with the speaker and the photographer, and keep in the background for the guests.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, the music carries the mood. At the drinks reception quiet lounge music plays, and even outdoors without a power socket everything works on battery.

  5. Dinner & programme items

For the meal I provide a calm soundtrack. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and for games, surprises and the bouquet toss I choose suitable music each time.

  6. Opening dance & party

You open the dance with your requested edit, then the party begins. I read the floor, change the set live and keep all generations moving until the last song.

Several generations sit at your tables, so soul classics and current chart hits share the same set with me. The music stays in one pair of hands from first contact to the final song.

What plays next I choose according to the mood in the room; I stay unobtrusive, and the microphone belongs to your speeches and programme items.

At the retro telephone your guests record their good wishes, and after the celebration I edit them into a finished audio file for you.

One fixed contact person

I respond to your enquiry within 24 hours, and we stay in direct contact until the wedding day.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We clarify music requests and no-gos in the very first conversation, then I coordinate everything else with your venue and the other suppliers.

Music genres

Disco classics, nineties hits and current charts sit side by side with me, and the mood of your guests decides what plays next, not a fixed order.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I arrive in good time before the first guests, set up calmly, test the sound and take everything down myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, ring exchange and exit of a humanist ceremony I do not need a power cable, because a strong battery carries the ceremony.

You can book the photo station, live music, uplights and audio guest book together with me if you wish, and I coordinate everything.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Reutlingen want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

+49 176 700 580 27
We are celebrating in a barn with a high timber roof: how will our music sound there?

High timber rooms throw sound back harder than you may be used to from a hall with curtains. That is why I test the sound before the first guests arrive and adjust the setup and level, so that speeches stay clear and the dance floor still gets its punch.

Will there be music for the entrance and exit at our humanist ceremony in Reutlingen?

You choose the tracks for the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit, and I play them at the right moment. Where there is no mains power, my battery operation helps, and whether a humanist ceremony is possible at your venue is up to the operator.

How do we get grandparents and colleagues from the office onto the dance floor at the same time?

My eye goes first to the tables that are still seated. For them I look for a track to sing along to, and from there I build the bridge to the charts. You send me in advance what absolutely must be played and what must never be heard.

Would a violinist or saxophonist alongside the DJ suit our open-air drinks reception?

That works well, because I blend musicians from my network, such as a violinist, a singer or a percussionist, into my mix. You decide when they join in: at the aperitif, at the ceremony or at the opening of the dance floor.

There are only forty of us: do we really need a DJ?

Small groups in particular benefit from having someone who reads the mood. My standard system covers up to about 150 guests, for forty I set up lean, and an ordinary power socket is enough.

How early should we enquire for a summer Saturday in Reutlingen?

In summer my calendar fills up first on Saturdays. So plan early. In quieter periods a few months is enough, and on the same or the next day I will write to tell you whether the date is open with me.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the drinks reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin. We settle the best moment for the performance well before the big day.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif gives the reception a soft, elegant start, especially as the evening slips into dusk.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion adds weight to the beat, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

A singer gives your wedding concert-style glamour, and later your guests are welcome to sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with a solemn sound and gives the meal that follows the feel of a festive gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
