Wedding venues in Rostock

Weddings in Rostock.

A resort by the water, an exhibition hall and a hotel ballroom sound completely different, which is why I ask you in advance to describe the room, the outdoor space and the number of guests. I present five venues: a resort at the marina, a zoo that lists weddings, a city hall with a roof terrace, an exhibition centre and a hotel in Warnemünde. For each one I plan the setup and the schedule with you.

Resort, hall or hotel ballroom: weddings in Rostock

In Rostock, the places for your celebration range from the resort at the marina in Warnemünde and halls with a roof terrace to the hotel ballroom in the seaside resort. Because each of these rooms sounds different, I only set up the system, the layout and the schedule once I know the room and the number of guests.

Even if the beach of Warnemünde is right on your doorstep, what matters most for the sound is whether you celebrate indoors or outdoors. At a terrace reception the wind plays a part, in a large hall the reverberation does, and I plan for both with you. Setting up and taking down is on me.

Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne

Am Yachthafen 1, Rostock-Warnemünde

The operator describes the property as an exclusive location for weddings, galas and festive events. Around 3,000 square metres are spread across 20 conference and event rooms, and there is a ballroom. With so many rooms, I first ask where the ceremony, the dinner and the dancing take place, and only then do I set up.

Zoo Rostock

Barnstorfer Ring 1, Rostock

On its website, the zoo lists weddings, birthdays and anniversaries as occasions for celebration and offers catering from coffee to multi-course menus. Which rooms are suitable for your party, you find out from the zoo itself. After that, I work out how much equipment makes sense there.

StadtHalle Rostock

Rostock

The StadtHalle lists weddings and celebrations among its types of events. According to the operator, it includes a welcome foyer of 2,400 square metres and a roof terrace on the north side of 2,000 square metres. If you celebrate indoors and up on the roof under the open sky, we will work out together how the music moves between the two spots.

HanseMesse Rostock

Zur HanseMesse 1-2, Rostock

On the HanseMesse website, weddings and celebrations are listed as a type of event. According to the operator, the Rostock and Wismar halls can be combined into one room of 280 square metres, with seating for up to 200 guests at a banquet. The hall layout you choose determines where I place my system.

Hotel Warnemünder Hof

Stolteraer Weg 8, Rostock-Warnemünde

The hotel offers rooms and halls for up to 100 people and lists celebrations as a section of its own. This format suits a smaller wedding party. How I position the console and speakers, we settle as soon as your room is confirmed.

Rooms, occasions and capacity details come from the operators' websites, as of October 2026. Whether your date is available and how many guests fit, you can only find out directly from the respective venue.

Civil ceremony in Rostock

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

How should your wedding sound? In Rostock, this is the question I start every conversation with, even before we talk about equipment. My path to the mixing desk began in 1998 in a nightclub, and that is where my feel for the moment a dance floor tips comes from. By now it is more than 1450 events, over 650 of them weddings.

I bring together tracks from many decades with transitions I build myself, so that grandparents, friends and colleagues dance at the same moment. Restraint is part of the job for me: your guests should remember your day, not the DJ.

How it works

From the inquiry to the final hour of your wedding in Rostock.

Your first step is a message with the date and venue. My reply comes within 24 hours, and we settle the rest in a video call and in the wedding portal.

Request a date
  1. Enquiry & first chat

Tell me the date and venue as soon as both are fixed; I reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. The video call is for getting to know each other, there is no sales pressure, and afterwards you receive your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking you get access to the wedding portal. In the web app you enter special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule, and about a week before the celebration we go through everything by phone.

  3. Set-up & sound check

On the wedding day I arrive on site with a generous buffer before the start. My setup takes about 40 minutes, after which I check the sound and coordinate with the speaker and the photographer.

  4. Ceremony & reception

For the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit, I use the music to set the mood. Soft lounge music plays at the reception, and if there is no power outside, a battery runs the system.

  5. Dinner & programme items

A calm soundtrack plays during the meal. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss get their own sound.

  6. Opening dance & party

You open the dance with your requested edit, and then the party begins. I read the floor, keep adjusting the set and keep all generations moving until the last track fades out.

Everything behind
the mix

Several generations often sit at your tables, which is why soul classics and current chart hits share the same evening at my weddings. From the first contact to the last song, the music stays in one hand.

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

Which track comes next depends on the mood in the room; I leave the microphone to speeches and programme items.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

LED uplights colour the room in your chosen colour, and over the course of the evening the lighting may change with the music.

On the retro telephone your guests leave their good wishes, and after the celebration I edit the recordings into a finished audio file.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We settle requested tracks and no-gos in the preliminary talk, and I take care of coordinating with your venue and the other service providers.

Music genres

Disco, nineties hits and current chart tracks sit side by side in my sets, and what plays is decided by the mood of your guests, not by a fixed list.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I take care of the setup and soundcheck calmly before doors open, and after the party I pack everything down myself. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

I accompany a humanist ceremony under the open sky without cables: the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit all run through my mobile system.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Rostock want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call.

We are holding our reception outdoors in Warnemünde: how does the music stay clearly audible in the wind?

I plan for wind on the water from the start and place the speakers so the sound reaches your guests. On request, my setup runs without a mains connection. If speakers are not allowed outdoors, I check with your venue beforehand.

We would like a humanist ceremony by the water in Rostock: do you provide music for the entrance and the exchange of rings?

I will put together a dedicated playlist for that: the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit are accompanied by exactly the tracks you give me, and my setup needs no power cable. Whether your ceremony is permitted at your chosen spot, you ask the venue.

Our guests are anywhere between eight and eighty-eight: how do you find music that everyone enjoys?

I start with tracks many people know and quickly see which tables get up. Then I steer the mix of classics, chart hits and dance music in that direction. Whatever must never be played, you note down for me in advance, and I stick to it. I will ask you again in our preliminary talk.

Can a violinist or a singer perform at the reception?

Yes, vocals, violin, percussion or saxophone come from my network and play along with my mix. You decide whether the performance suits the reception or the first dance best, and I am happy to advise you on that. I will suggest a time to you beforehand.

How much floor space does your equipment need, and is a DJ worthwhile even with a modest number of guests?

My console with speakers takes up about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and I can set up in around 40 minutes. From about forty guests I set up a small system, and my standard package covers up to 150 people. I will tell you honestly what makes sense for your guest count.

We are getting married in August around the Hanse Sail in Rostock: when should we get in touch with you?

Rostock is very busy that week, so please get in touch with me right after you choose your date. Otherwise half a year of lead time is often enough. You will hear from me within 24 hours whether your day is still free.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you want live music at the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin for you. We will talk through early on, well before the wedding, at which point the performance works best.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif on the terrace gives the reception a soft, elegant start, especially as the evening slowly darkens.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

After dessert, percussion adds more punch to the beat, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

With live vocals, your wedding gets a touch of a concert, and while dancing your guests sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with solemnity and gives the meal the setting of a gala evening before the party begins.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
