Michael Zimmermann at the DJ booth – wedding DJ for Ulm

Wedding DJ Ulm · Events since 2004

Your wedding day, your mix: I tune every song to your guests.

I'm Michael Zimmermann, wedding DJ, and I play at your wedding in Ulm in such a way that your guests dance and the music never feels intrusive. Weddings have been a fixed part of my calendar since 2004: it has been more than 1,450 events to date, and over 650 of them celebrated their wedding with me. Whether vaulted cellar, banquet hall or terrace, I stay in the background, and you enjoy your day.

Wedding venues in Ulm

Weddings in Ulm.

Every room sounds different, and that's why I ask each venue about dimensions, power and access before I plan your equipment, from the vaulted cellar to the large hall. I show you seven venues from Ulm here, from the monastery with its library hall to the room with a view over the city, and I tailor setup and sound to your hall each time.

Between the Danube and the Blau: wedding in Ulm

Where the Blau flows into the Danube, in Ulm you can choose between a monastery hall, a domed hall and a hotel ballroom, and I tune my music to your venue. This very variety makes your planning exciting, because I bring the right system for every setting, whether for a vaulted room or a banquet hall.

A historic hall sounds different from a modern banquet hall, and that's why I align the setup and speakers to floor space and guest count. If you'd like a theme, we discuss early on which sounds fit it and which tracks are off-limits for you. I reserve around two hours before your guests arrive so that everything is in place and I can check the sound in peace.

Hotel und Gasthof Löwen

Hauptstrasse, Ulm-Wiblingen

At the inn in Wiblingen, weddings are one of the named occasions. According to the operator, the historic wooden domed hall has room for up to 120 people and offers a dance floor along with space for a band or DJ. Because space for a DJ and dance floor is planned there, I can set up my system right at the parquet.

Kloster Wiblingen

Schlossstraße, Ulm-Wiblingen

Kloster Wiblingen lists weddings as an occasion in a historic monument. For the standing reception in the library hall, the operator states room for up to 168 guests. What music and setup such a special hall allows, I clarify beforehand with you and the venue.

Maritim Hotel Ulm

Basteistraße, Ulm

The Maritim Hotel lists weddings among its occasions. According to the operator, the Saal Bonn with a view of the Danube has room for up to 110 people, and the Kepler Saal offers more space. Depending on the hall, I choose a larger or smaller system, and I discuss that with you during planning.

ulmerflieger (Wilken Gourmet)

Hörvelsinger Weg, Ulm

The ulmerflieger lists weddings as an occasion and offers a view over Ulm. According to the operator, up to 300 guests find room in the Casino room. At this size I coordinate sound and positioning with you so that even the back rows hear the music well.

Elis Palace

Riedweg, Ulm

Elis Palace lists weddings as an occasion and has a large terrace. According to the operator, large celebrations of up to 250 people are possible, small ones from 40 people. Large or small, I align my setup to your guest count.

Restaurant Krone

Kronengasse, Ulm

The Restaurant Krone in the old town lists weddings as an occasion. According to the operator, the Kronenstuben have room for up to 45 people and the Kronenkeller, a vaulted cellar, for up to 85. For a vaulted room I deliberately plan my setup compactly, and we go through the details beforehand.

Seligweiler Hotel und Restaurants

Ulm-Seligweiler

Seligweiler Hotel und Restaurants lists weddings as an occasion and names the Saal Würzburg for it. Which room suits your celebration, you clarify directly with the venue. Once you've chosen your room, I align equipment and schedule to it.

All information on halls, capacities and occasions comes from the operators themselves and applies as of October 2026. Please clarify date and hall directly with the respective operator before booking.

Symbolic wedding ceremony in Ulm

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

The tower of Ulm Minster measures 161.53 meters, and for your wedding in Ulm I set myself a similarly high goal. My path behind the booth began in 1998 in clubs, and since 2004 I've been playing private and corporate celebrations. I've played over 1,450 events, more than 650 weddings.

I stay in the background and let the music speak, so that you, your family and friends can celebrate together. My own edits create transitions you don't notice. We discuss your must-plays and no-plays beforehand; that matters to me for your most beautiful day. I'm curious about your story.

How it works

From your inquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Ulm.

Send me a few lines, I'll reply the same day or the next, and together in a video call we plan everything up to the first dance. Read the whole process →

  1. Enquiry & first chat

It begins with your message to me, and I usually reply within a day. In the non-binding video call we sort out the date, venue and first ideas, without sales pressure, and then you get your quote.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your confirmation the planning in the portal begins: the web app takes in requested songs, no-gos, schedule and special moments. About a week before the wedding I call, and we go through every detail together.

  3. Set-up & sound check

I have long since set up before the first guest: I arrive at least two hours earlier, set up the equipment, do the soundcheck and coordinate with the celebrant or photographer. After that, everything runs invisibly.

  4. Ceremony & reception

Entrance, exchange of rings, exit: these three moments call for the right atmosphere, and I provide it. Subtle lounge music for chatting follows for the drinks reception, and where there is no power, the battery helps.

  5. Dinner & programme items

Between starter and dessert I keep the mood going with fitting music, provide the wireless microphone for speeches and frame games, surprises and the bouquet toss musically, so that nothing feels abrupt.

  6. Opening dance & party

After the first dance to an edit of your choice, the celebration begins. I keep an eye on the dance floor, keep changing the set according to the mood and bring all generations together until the last song fades out.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Ulm want to know.

These are the questions couples ask me most often, and if yours is missing, just give me a call. All questions and answers →

+49 176 700 580 27
We're toasting outside: will the music be heard even without an outlet?

My system has a battery, so it can stand on a meadow or a forecourt without needing a cable. Whether I may set up outdoors, I ask the venue early on, which saves you that errand. After that I plan outdoors and indoors as one continuous evening for you.

Can you also support us musically for the processional and the exchange of rings?

Yes, I provide music from your list for the processional, the exchange of rings and the recessional, and my battery system needs no cable for it. We choose the tracks for this moment together beforehand so they fit into your program. Whether a ceremony may be held in the venue itself, you can only find out from the operator.

How does the dance floor stay full when young and old celebrate together?

All evening I watch who is moving and who stays at the table, and I pick the next track accordingly. My edits layer decades and styles into each other, so a switch from schlager to charts hardly registers with your guests. Beforehand you give me the songs that have to play and everything that should never sound at your evening.

Does a single saxophonist fit our champagne reception, even if we don't want a band?

I arrange live musicians such as saxophonists, singers or violinists from my network, and they play directly to my mix. Such a performance is most impressive when you schedule it for the reception, the ceremony or the first dance. When exactly the performance is on, we clarify when we get to know each other, as soon as you've told me your schedule.

Does your equipment also suit our small celebration with 40 guests?

My standard setup covers up to about 100 guests, and for 40 people I scale it down accordingly. What matters to me is the size of the room and the number of your guests, the occasion alone makes no difference. At the booth an ordinary power socket is all I need, I ask nothing more of the venue.

Our wedding is in the height of summer in Ulm: When should we send our request?

If you want to get married on a summer weekend, it's best to contact me early, because those dates are often gone more than a year ahead. A celebration on a weekday or in winter can usually be planned with three to six months' notice. You're welcome to write to me even at short notice, because I'll tell you honestly whether there's still room in my calendar on your day.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

I arrange live music, from saxophone to violin, straight from my network. Whether it performs at the reception or only at the opening dance, we decide together well in advance.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

In the historic walls of a monastery, a saxophone sounds refined and echoes softly, so that your drinks reception feels almost like a concert.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion makes the dance floor shake as soon as the party begins and joins the beat of the playlist with the pulse of your celebrating guests.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

Especially in a town with old lanes and riverbanks, a live voice at the opening dance feels particularly personal and moves your family to tears.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin lifts your ceremony between the river and the old town into a tender, cinematic mood and makes every promise shine even brighter.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

    Ballermann, après-ski, schlager hits?
A few songs here and there if it suits the mood – no problem.
But build a whole evening on them? That's not my thing.

There are DJs who can and want to do that.
    There are specialists for it.
    Nothing against them.
But it's not what I do.

I'm a specialist in live mixing at demanding events.
For people who understand that music is a craft.
    Precise transitions.
The right track at the right moment.
    Not just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you – then I'm not the right person. And that's okay.
If it does – I'd love to.
