Whether it's the old town, Schildesche or Sennestadt, Herford or Gütersloh: I'm Michael Zimmermann, and I build my evening around the people in the room. Anyone celebrating in a city that grew as a linen town and whose spinning mills are now banquet halls usually doesn't want a ready-made playlist, and what plays instead, we discuss beforehand by phone or video call.

A linen town on the Teutoburger Wald, today the centre of Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
Bielefeld has around 331,000 inhabitants in ten districts and is the largest city in Ostwestfalen-Lippe. From the 17th century the town grew as a linen town, and around 1870 the Ravensberger Spinnerei was the largest flax spinning mill in Europe. The Sparrenburg stands on the Sparrenberg, the Von Bodelschwingh Foundations have worked in Bethel since 1867, and the university has existed since 1969.
Whether your party takes place in a city district, in a former factory or in one of the neighbouring towns makes no difference to my planning. Herford, Gütersloh, Halle and Bad Salzuflen are also part of my service area.

Behind the booth when the party is on.
How a track carries a room or empties it, I learned in the club, and that has grown into over 1450 events, including more than 650 weddings, plus company evenings and birthdays from the living room to the Lokhalle.
How guests see it is shown by 60 Google reviews with an average of 5.0 stars. At the start of every plan, for me, come the guests, their age and the room; the music follows only after that.
As a member of the DJ Allianz e.V., I give workshops on transitions and on how to read a dance floor. In a region where rock, pop and Schlager are all requested on the same evening, I need that constantly.

Everything included.
Sound and lighting for rooms of up to about 150 guests, wireless microphones for speeches and backup equipment come to every party. On request I add uplights, a photo booth, an audio guest book or live music to the DJ set. We discuss the schedule and music calmly beforehand, so that nothing is left open on the day itself.

Music, sound system and, if you like, announcements are my job, whether the party is in Schildesche, Brackwede or the old town. You decide the schedule of the evening, and I turn it into music.
Where in Ostwestfalen do I travel to?
To all ten districts of Bielefeld and to places like Herford, Gütersloh, Halle or Bad Salzuflen. Just tell me where your party is.
When is the right time to get in touch?
As soon as you have a date. Popular Saturdays go first, and within a day you will know from me whether your date is still free.
Can the music also play at an outdoor party?
Yes, for a party in the garden or at the edge of a forest, I use battery-powered equipment if there is no power socket nearby. Whether you may use the site is something you clarify with the owner.
What happens if a device fails?
A second setup including a spare laptop is part of my luggage, even for a party in Herford or Oerlinghausen. If something fails, the music keeps playing.
