Whether it is a hall in Bethel, the Hechelei by the park or the Lokhalle: every room carries music differently, and I build my proposal for your party around that. Whether a former spinning mill, a hall in Bethel or the Lokschuppen: I show you five venues in Bielefeld below, so you can see how different your party can sound.
In Bielefeld your birthday can take place in a spinning mill hall, a hall in Bethel or an old locomotive shed; depending on the venue I set the speakers and volume afresh. First tell me where you are inviting people.
In the living room a compact setup is enough for me, and if a power socket is missing, it runs on battery. We clear up space and power source beforehand by phone, and I can set up in about 40 minutes.
The venue explicitly mentions small birthday parties on its website and offers rooms for up to 260 people, plus a restaurant and beer garden. Whether your party takes place in the hall or the garden hall is something you decide with the team, and after that we talk about space and power.
The old railway depot, built between 1905 and 1907, has a large and a small hall with their own entrance, and the operator also rents out for private parties. For a milestone birthday with many guests, I ask you early on about guest numbers and schedule.
The building on two levels with a stage, a gallery and three bars opened in early 1995; the part destroyed in the war is now a beer garden. The operator's website says a party here can continue with a DJ. We decide where your guests should dance before I place speakers and lighting.
The hall, with about 450 square metres, columns and a dance floor, is on the ground floor of the former flax spinning mill and holds up to 360 people depending on seating. For a fiftieth with a large family, it is a setting in which I spread speakers and lighting across several levels.
For a small group of 40 to 80 people, the operator lists a lecture hall and a foyer, and the room can be darkened. A reception for your birthday with sparkling wine and quiet music suits it well, and we discuss the transition into the party with the venue.
Rooms, dates and sizes come from the operators' websites and from Wikipedia (as of October 2026). Whether your date is free and how many guests fit in the venue is something only the venue itself can tell you.
Who I am
You are celebrating in Bielefeld, and I make sure the sound suits your evening. I have seen how a dance floor tips or holds in over 1,450 events, at family parties as much as at company evenings. Instead of a fixed list, I build the evening from what your guests are taking to right now, and I cut my own edits from classics and current tracks for that.
That way your friends from university and your relatives from Lippe dance to the same music. You tell me before the party what must be played and what never should, and then you can enjoy the party yourself on the night. If you like, I will explain beforehand how the evening is divided into stages.
How it works
Send me the date and location, and I will get back to you the same day or the next. After that come a video call, arrangements and the setup.

With your booking you get my mobile number, because a lot gets sorted fastest over WhatsApp. About a week before the party we talk about requested songs, no-gos and the schedule.
I am in the room before your guests arrive, set up the equipment in about 40 minutes and do the sound check. Open questions we settle with you or the venue, so that everything runs unnoticed later.
For arrivals, calm lounge music plays so your guests get talking. For you as the birthday guest of honour and for special moments, I find the right track.
The programme has its music too: quiet during dinner, a microphone for speeches and announcements, fitting pieces for games, surprises and cutting the cake.
As soon as people dance, I take over completely, read the mood and change the set according to the guests, until the last song plays.

Setup takes around 40 minutes, the equipment takes up about 2.5 by 1.5 metres, and I tidy up myself after the party. About 2.5 m width and 1.5 m depth are enough for that, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setup takes around 40 minutes.

+49 176 700 580 27That depends on the size of the room and the number of guests. Send me a few photos and the expected headcount, and before you commit I will tell you which system I will bring.
I build my evening in stages: at the start the songs for everyone play, and over time I move towards what you like. You tell me any banned tracks before the party, and they stay out.
I only coordinate with you as the organiser, by phone or WhatsApp, and I stick to your schedule. The birthday guest's entrance gets the song you decide on in advance.
For an October date I would write by early summer at the latest, because Saturdays go quickly. Send me your preferred date and I will let you know the same day whether it is still free; smaller parties can often be arranged at shorter notice.
I bring microphones, two wireless ones in fact. During the speech I take the music out and bring it back up gently afterwards so the mood stays.

Transparency
A whole evening of nothing but Schlager and Ballermann, hour after hour? A few big crowd-pleasers in between, when the mood calls for it, belong to a good birthday party for me. Building a whole evening on them alone isn't my thing, though. I'm just as little the right person for non-stop techno sets without any contact with the crowd, for rigid request lists that get worked through from top to bottom, or for festival formats with several stages. There are other DJs who can do exactly that and love it, nothing against them, it's simply not my speciality.
My craft is mixing live for guests who want an evening with a feel for the moment: clean transitions, the right track at the right time, instead of just pressing play. That's why I'd rather tell you beforehand what I don't do than have you disappointed on the night.
