Celebrations in Halle (Saale)
A terrace in the countryside, a hotel room or your own flat: your location determines the speakers, so I ask in advance about size, ceiling height and free space. I have picked out four venues for your party, from the mountain zoo and a hotel on the edge of the old town to the Salzatal, each with room for guests and loudspeakers.
Where you celebrate in Halle (Saale) is up to you: on a terrace above the city, in a hotel room, in the Art Nouveau hall on Schleifweg or out in the Salzatal. For a few guests a slim system is enough, for a large family I set up more speakers; at the start I only need your address.
If you invite guests to your own place, a table for the decks and a little distance from the wall for the speakers is enough. We agree on space and start time beforehand, so you can stay a relaxed host on the night.
The zoo expressly mentions birthday parties on its website and rents out the Kolonnaden-Saal, a historic hall with a covered beer garden, as well as the mountain terraces with a restaurant. For a gathering on the terrace I bring a small set that will not drown out you and your guests.
The hotel expressly lists birthdays as an occasion on its homepage and has 11 event rooms between 22 and 165 m². Depending on the size of your group, we choose together the room where the music works best.
The Art Nouveau house from 1907 rents out its rooms for private events, including the Spiegelsaal with 109 m² for smaller groups. With a manageable number of guests, a compact system is enough for me there, one that does not have to fill the hall.
The family house in the Salzatal offers space for up to 100 people in its dining rooms for parties and celebrations and has a sun terrace. If you want to start your birthday outdoors and finish indoors, I will plan both with you.

Who I am
Your birthday belongs to you, and I make sure it sounds that way. My path led from a nightclub to company parties and private celebrations, and by now over 1450 events stand behind me. An evening does not work by script but by watching who is dancing and who is still hesitating.
With my own edits I bring classics and current hits together, so that guests of every age group find a shared dance floor. Tell me your favourite songs and your no-gos beforehand, and I will take care of the rest.
How it works
Send me the date and venue of your party, and I will get back to you the same day or the next. After that come the video call, the set-up and the party.
Request a dateAfter your enquiry it takes at most one day until you hear from me. In the short video call you tell me about your birthday, and afterwards you receive your quote.
With the booking you receive my mobile number, because WhatsApp is the shortest line. Seven days before the party we go through requested songs, no-gos and schedule together.
Before the guests arrive I get set up; for the set-up I need about 40 minutes, plus the soundcheck. I settle last questions with you or the venue so that everything runs calmly and unobtrusively.
Subtle lounge music lets the guests find their way into conversation calmly as they arrive. For the birthday guest of honour or a special moment, I choose the music that fits exactly.
The programme of the evening gets the right tone from me: music for the meal, the microphone for speeches and announcements, tracks for games, surprises and the cake cutting.
As soon as the dance floor is open, everything is in my hands. I read the mood, change the set spontaneously according to the guests and keep young and old on the floor until the last song plays.

Your birthday gets its own set from me, which I keep adapting throughout the party. With tracks from different decades, I even get those onto the dance floor who only wanted to watch at first. I bring my compact setup myself, so a balcony, a garden or your living room is enough for me. If there's a slideshow or a speech, I turn the music down right away.

I mix current hits with classics from many decades, and I ask for your requests in advance instead of stubbornly working through a list at the booth.
Well before your guests arrive, my equipment is in place and checked, and after the party I take everything down myself. For this about 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the set-up spot, no stairs or lifts) the set-up takes about 40 minutes.
Which extras are added is entirely your decision, whether lighting, photo station, live music or audio guest book, and I handle the coordination.

Yes, with twenty guests in particular you notice the difference, because the right music gets a group talking and later onto their feet. I bring a compact sound system myself and set the level so that your conversation at the table is not drowned out. If the venue has technology of its own, I connect to it.
Yes, I carry the equipment up myself, and a small set is usually enough in living spaces. High ceilings make the sound feel more open, so I check the placement of the speakers with you in advance. Talk to your neighbours briefly beforehand, and your evening stays quiet.
I stay as long as you want to celebrate, and we fix the duration together before booking. For six hours I divide the evening into phases so that your programme does not flatten out. That leaves time for eating, speeches and long dance blocks.
Gladly, send me the file or the title in advance and I will try it out at the soundcheck. I pull my music back at the right moment so that you and your guests can enjoy the moment undisturbed. Afterwards I carry on with the evening without a break.

Transparency
Nothing but schlager and Ballermann for hours on end? I'm happy to let the odd crowd-pleaser run when your guests ask for it, because they belong at a good birthday party. Building my whole evening on them isn't for me, though. Nor am I a fit for techno sets that ignore the crowd, for request lists worked through rigidly, or for festivals with several stages. I leave that to colleagues who are good at it and enjoy it; I have nothing against them, it's simply not my field.
I play live, for guests with a feel for the moment: the transitions are tight, the song suits the hour, and nothing just runs on autopilot. That is why I would rather tell you in advance what I don't offer than have you annoyed on the night.
