Wedding DJ Michael Zimmermann behind the decks at a celebration in Halle (Saale)

Wedding DJ Halle (Saale) · Events since 2004

Your day on the Saale, musically tailored exactly to you.

My name is Michael Zimmermann, and for your wedding in Halle (Saale) I build a programme from the sparkling-wine reception to the last round on the dance floor. Behind it stand more than 25 years of experience and over 1450 events, more than 650 of them weddings. In a city that devotes an entire festival every year to a single composer, an intrusive sound system feels out of place; at your wedding it stays in the background. beats per micha: Michael Zimmermann, wedding DJ, available in Halle (Saale) and the surrounding area.

Wedding venues in Halle (Saale)

Weddings in Halle (Saale).

An Art Nouveau hall, a terrace above the city and a country house with a sun terrace each sound different, so the first thing I ask about is the room and the open space. I introduce four venues, from the Art Nouveau building on the Schleifweg and the mountain terraces at the zoo and a hotel in the city centre to a country house in the Salzatal, and for each I plan the set-up and schedule together with you.

Art Nouveau, zoo or country house: wedding in Halle (Saale)

For your wedding day, quite a lot lies close together in Halle (Saale): an Art Nouveau building on the Schleifweg, a hotel in the middle of the city and the zoo on the Reilsberg. In each of these houses the same song sounds different, and I align the speakers, the set-up and the timetable to the room.

If you would like some fresh air after the meal, you will find quieter corners on the banks of the Saale or at the country house outside the city. I am happy to plan the finale with you: a last song everyone knows, or a quiet wind-down for those who stay seated.

Volkspark

Schleifweg 8a, Halle (Saale)

The Art Nouveau house opened in 1907 as an assembly and cultural centre and has belonged to the association Volkspark Halle e. V. since 2010. For weddings, its website lists the Great Hall with 500 m² and the Small Hall with 250 m². How the speakers are placed in such a tall hall, so that everyone at the back hears well too, we settle beforehand.

Zoo Halle

Fasanenstraße 5a, Halle (Saale)

On the Reilsberg, where the zoo opened in 1901, the venue says it rents out the historic Kolonnaden-Saal with a covered beer garden and the mountain terraces with a restaurant. Weddings are expressly listed among the occasions. For a celebration outdoors I ask early on where power is available and where the speakers may stand.

Landhaus Bennstedt

Eisdorfer Straße 12A, Salzatal

The Peschke family's country house offers space for up to 100 people in its dining rooms for parties and celebrations and has a sun terrace. For a manageable gathering in the countryside, a compact sound system is enough for me, which we tailor to the dining room and terrace.

Dorint Charlottenhof

Dorotheenstraße 12, Halle (Saale)

The hotel lists 11 event rooms from 22 to 165 m² for up to 140 people, and according to the hotel the lobby bar is suited to a festive reception. With rooms of such different sizes, we clarify beforehand where the reception, meal and dancing take place, and the music moves along with you.

Details on rooms, capacities and occasions come from the venues' websites as of October 2026. Please ask the venue itself about available dates and the actual guest numbers.

Humanist ceremony in Halle (Saale)

I provide the music for your symbolic wedding ceremony, from the entrance through the ring exchange to the exit, with a sound system that runs without a power outlet, indoors or outdoors, and I bring a wireless microphone for your celebrant.

Who I am

Servus, that's me, Micha.

How your wedding sounds is up to you; my job is to turn it into a coherent evening. I started in a nightclub, later company parties and private celebrations were added, and more than 650 of my over 1450 events were weddings.

I do not bring a ready-made playlist; I watch your tables and react to what happens there. With edits I cut myself, I bring together tracks from several decades so that grandparents, friends and colleagues dance together. At the end, your guests should say: that was exactly your wedding.

How it works

From the enquiry to the last hour of your wedding in Halle (Saale).

Your first message can be short; I reply within 24 hours and invite you to a video call before we go into detail on the venue and the first dance.

  1. Enquiry & first chat

Send me the date and place as soon as both are fixed, and I will reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest. There is no sales pressure in the video call, just getting to know each other and ideas; your offer follows afterwards.

  2. Booking & portal access

With your booking you get access to the wedding portal. There you enter special moments, no-gos, favourite songs and the schedule; about a week before the celebration we speak by phone and go through everything.

  3. Set-up & sound check

I am already there while you are still getting ready. The setup takes me around 40 minutes, but I arrive well ahead, check the sound and keep the equipment unobtrusive for your guests.

  4. Ceremony & reception

Music sets the accents at the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit. Subtle lounge music plays at the reception, and even outdoors without a power connection everything runs on battery.

  5. Dinner & programme items

For the meal I provide a calm soundtrack. Speeches go through the wireless microphone, and games, surprises and the bouquet toss each get the right sound.

  6. Opening dance & party

You open the dance with your chosen edit, then the party begins. I see what the floor demands, adapt the set live and keep all generations moving until the end.

Everything behind
the mix

At my weddings, soul classics and current chart hits share the same evening, because several generations often sit at your tables. From the first message to the last song, the music stays in one pair of hands.

Mixed live, microphone only when needed

What plays next, I decide by the mood in the room; I stay in the background, and the microphone belongs to the speeches and programme items.

Festival hall in blue and violet uplighting Add-on

LED uplights tint the room in your chosen colour, and over the course of the evening the light can move with the music.

FOTOFun station with ring light and instant printer Add-on

The photo station runs by itself during the celebration, stores all pictures in a private online gallery and, if you like, prints copies for your guests on the spot.

Your guests' phone photos end up in one place without any app of their own if you add Feierblick, an external service that I recommend and that you book independently of me.

Equipment that doesn't stand out

My cases hold two wireless microphones, lighting effects, a Pioneer or Denon desk and speakers from RCF or Electro-Voice.

At the retro telephone your guests record their good wishes on tape, and after the celebration I edit them into a finished audio file for you.

An evening that is planned beforehand

We settle requests and no-gos in the preliminary talk, and after that I coordinate the details with your venue and the other suppliers.

Music genres

Nineties hits, disco classics and current chart songs sit side by side in my sets, and what your guests respond to decides the order.

Set-up and tear-down without any effort from you

I set everything up calmly well before the start, check the sound and take it all down myself after the celebration. About 2.5 m of width and 1.5 m of depth are enough, and under normal conditions (car close to the setup spot, no stairs or lifts) setting up takes around 40 minutes.

Symbolic wedding ceremony

For the entrance, the ring exchange and the exit of a civil or symbolic ceremony, my battery set is enough, so no mains connection is needed.

Optional: extras

Anyone who wants a photo station, live music, uplights and an audio guest book together gets everything from one source, and I take care of the coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What couples in Halle (Saale) want to know.

Here is what couples usually ask me before booking, and for anything else you can simply call me.

+49 176 700 580 27
We would like something Baroque for the entrance, perhaps even Handel: can you arrange that for us?

Gladly: tell me the piece, such as an aria or an orchestral movement, and I will source a clean recording for you. I cut it to the length of your entrance, so you neither have to wait nor rush. Whether amplified music is welcome in the venue is something you clarify beforehand with the operator.

Our hall has tall windows and smooth walls: will it be loud?

Smooth surfaces throw the sound back, so I aim the speakers so that it reaches your guests rather than the wall. Photos or measurements of the room help me plan ahead. Conversation at the table stays possible for you, and people still dance.

Our guests range from university friends to great-grandmothers: who gets their turn first with the music?

Nobody alone, because I start with songs almost everyone knows and let the dance floor show me how far I can go. I set your favourite song as a fixed point in the evening. Tracks you do not want to hear, we note down together beforehand.

When is it too late to ask you about a Saturday in Halle (Saale)?

It depends on your season: for popular summer Saturdays you should write to me months ahead, while in winter or on weekdays short notice works too. Tell me your preferred date, and I will check my calendar the same day and let you know.

We took a dance course and want to choose the opening dance ourselves: will you adapt to that?

Yes, I cut the track to the length you want to dance and build in the intro so you can begin without haste. If you try the version out with your dance teacher beforehand, I will adjust tempo and ending. Then I open the floor to everyone.

We want to end the evening outside by the water: can the music come outdoors with us?

Yes, if your venue allows it, I plan a smaller second setup for the outdoor area. You decide whether quiet background music should play there or a dance area of its own should take shape. We talk it through together beforehand, so nothing is left to chance.

Even more options

DJ+ – live musicians right inside my mix.

If you would like live music for the reception or the ceremony, I can arrange saxophone, vocals, percussion or violin from my network. We will talk through when the performance works best well before the celebration.

Saxophonist in warm backlight 01

Sparkling wine reception · First dance

DJ + saxophone

A saxophone with the aperitif gives the reception a soft opening, especially as the evening slowly turns into evening light.

Percussionist on congas in backlight 02

Party peak · energy on the dance floor

DJ + percussion

Percussion gives the beat more drive after dessert, and the dance floor fills almost by itself.

Singer with a microphone in backlight 03

Entrance · special moments

DJ + vocals

With live vocals your wedding takes on something of a concert evening, and in the party phase your guests sing along at the microphone.

Violinist in warm backlight 04

Ceremony · bride's entrance

DJ + violin

A violin accompanies your entrance with a festive sound and gives the meal the setting of a gala evening.

Band with a singer and musicians as silhouettes in the stage lighting 05

An evening without a break.

First the band, then the beats

Live music for the reception or dinner, and then a full DJ night anyway? Through my network I can arrange a well-rehearsed band, from a duo to a quartet, with vocals, guitar, piano, percussion or saxophone. Because everything is planned by one person, there is one point of contact, one sound concept and no gap between band and DJ.

Who i'm not the right DJ for

Party classics like Ballermann, après-ski and schlager hits?
I'm happy to play the odd one of those when the mood is right.
Building the whole evening on them, though, isn't for me.

There are other DJs who love doing exactly that, and do it well.
They are the right choice for it.
    I have nothing against them.
    It's just not my thing.

My field is live mixing at demanding events.
For guests who see music as a craft.
    Clean transitions.
The right track for the right moment.
    More than just pressing play.

If that doesn't suit you, I'm not the right DJ, and that's perfectly fine.
If it does, I'm looking forward to meeting you.
